"Uncle Angus" by Jane C

Hi Everyone

Do you receive the D-Lish Just Add Paper kits? In case you haven't figured it out yet, I am a huge fan of them as they are just such awesome value. Some months when it arrives I set myself a goal to use everything in one layout but to date I don't think I have succeeded. This was one of those months.

I tried REALLY hard but in the end I was just happier with a "less is more" and on the up side I have plenty left over for another layout. Winning! :D
Here are some close ups...

I did manage to use the stencil, tags & butterfly. And some of the flowers, sequins and washi, as well as one of the flairs, but I still have all this left over, and I didn't even use the sequin bow Haha

Hope you are having a fabulous week and finding a little scrap time. If you need some inspiration, head on over to the Scrap Suite and check out our challenges. There's still time to join in.

Cheers, Jx

‘Happy Easter’ by Emma Malinowski

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a couple of cute photos of my girls from Easter. I have used the Easter creative cuts - included in this pack is the title, egg and bunny - such great value! I decided not to back the creative cuts as the background paper from Cocoa Vanilla is so bright and colourful.

On the Easter egg, I glued some coloured sequins for some added effect and a bright bunch of flowers on top for the cluster next to the photo.

On the other side of the page I used a D-lish  stencil for a little bit of mixed media background just to break up the colourful background. I layered behind the photo with some polka dot yellow tissue paper, light blue punchinella and a pink doily.

Thanks for dropping by!

Emma. :)

Best Ever by Tracey B

Hi everyone
Back again, this time with a mixed media background inspired by Anthea's challenge over at The Scrap Suite.   I did this page at a crop so my supplies were limited but I still managed to create a page that my son thinks is adorable - because it is of his new puppy Elway.

I started by sponging some acrylic paint through a stencil.  This one wasn't from the store but you can get a great range here.   The paint I used came in a pump pack so I gave a couple of squirts and then dribbled some black fluid acrylic paint over the top.   I used some rub-ons I found in my craft bag that I think have been there for 15 years!   They weren't the best but that didn't matter - on they went to help create the grungy background.

I layered the photo with an assortment of tags and scrap paper  and then because I thought the LO was quite busy, just a couple of heart beads, sequins and beads to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by.   Home you get some crafty time in the week ahead.

"Dream" by Anthea

Hello again.
Today I am sharing a LO featuring my gal and Moi at one of her dance comps last year.
It was her first really big comp and she did the most amazing job.  I could not have been prouder of her.

This LO features last month's JAP kit with it's gorgeous yellows, blues and greys.  I think the colours suit this photo beautifully.
I have used a few other items, including the sequin bow on the LO but the bulk of the items on this page come straight from the kit.  I think this LO shows how versatile the JAP kits actually are and how little needs to be added to them to make a LO.  Not to mention I have a ton of stuff left over to create more layouts with .
Anyone who knows me knows that I really don't like my handwriting, but I do love journaling.  I have to say - I love me a good journal tag which is perfect for hidden journaling.
I have included some close ups for you to check out too.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have enjoyed my page.
Till next time,

"Oh Happy Day!", by Amanda Hartmann

Hi D-lish Scraps fans
This page all started with the Creative Cuts - Pie Charts . I used both the stamped impression and the painted die cuts to create this page. I added many pink and orange bits from last year's Advent Calendar and past Just Add Paper kits.
To create the background, I arranged the pie chart die cuts and painted them each a different colour with bright liquid inks (water based that did not dry too fast). I then pressed a sheet of white cardstock firmly on top, which created the impressions/stamps of the pie charts on the page.
To create the page, I used my prepared background, as well as the painted die cuts. I layered these with loads of D-lish goodies!
Let's look at some close ups.

Behind the photo I used Paper lace doilies , including one I painted in the orange ink.
In this cluster, I used a sequin bow, tea roses in orange, chinese peonie in pink, plus wood veneer heart and sequins. Plus a little orange tassel from a past JAP kit.

For the title, I used a die cut title "oh happy day", left from my advent calendar. I sprayed this a pale orange and then used a black pen to doodle/trace the letters.
I cut apart the journal tabs and words from the Advent calendar packs, and used these throughout the page.  Here, amongst the pie chart die cuts, you can also see sequins, wood veneer, a flair button and a cute little orange bitty bow (minus the paper clip).

I finished the page with more doodling, and a load of pink and orange ink splatters.
Thanks for looking today!

"Beach Bums" by Jane C

 Hi All,

With the nights getting chillier I thought I would try to warm up by sharing this layout of my daughter and her friends taken at the beach for her birthday.

I knew straight away what I wanted the title to be so after creating my background with some shimmery paints I layered up my photo and then set to work with all my D-Lish goodies. Some washi tapes, sequins, journal strips, and of course my proverbial sequin bow. (I think I am addicted to these! haha)

The little resin hearts were in a past JAP kit and were the perfect finish for the light, beachy feel I wanted to create.

Hope you are able to find a little scrappy time this weekend and remember, you still have time to join in some or all of our challenges over at the Scrap Suite. Would love to see some more of your beautiful creations.

Now I'm off to make a cuppa to see if that helps me to warm up :)  Jx

‘Family’ by Emma Malinowski

Hi Everyone, I am sharing a layout today featuring the star creative cuts. I have backed some of the stars with some ombré paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I have kept the rest of the page fairly simple  because I wanted the stars to be the main feature.

Here I wanted to show you the Star Creative Cuts where I have backed some of the stars before I started to add the photo and other papers. (I must have taken this photo on a cloudy day because it is much darker than the final photo!)

I wanted to put the title on the photo as I think it pulls the page together and the wood veneer is a nice contrast to the blue of the water in the pool.

Some of my favourite embellishments, they are must haves in your stash at home - enamel dots and a flair!

Thanks for looking!

X 2 by Tracey B

Hi everyone.
What a great lot of challenges there are over at The Scrap Suite.
I was inspired by Amanda H's Pink and Blue challenge - not a colour combo I think I've used before.   But that's why I love these challenges - letting me step out of my comfort zone!

I started with some modelling paste through a couple of different sized circle stencils.   When dried I coloured them using some water colours and when that dried I stamped a splotchy stamp over the circles.   I layered my photo (of my twin brother & sister) with some scrap blue & pink papers and then created a couple of embellishment clusters using some D-Lish goodies.

I' used some Journal spots from a JAP kit

Hope you've been inspired
Happy crafting

"Mama' by Anthea

In honour of Mother's day just 2 days ago - I thought today I would share a LO featuring my beautiful Mum.
My Mum is not only my Mum - she is one of my best friends and I love her more than she probably will ever know.
My Mum's favourite colour is pink so it was an obvious choice of a main colour in a layout featuring her.  She also loves flowers in all forms so I went a little crazy picking out all kinds of flowers for this LO.
I have used a D-lish flower stencil as my base and framed my photo with a creative cut frame and then I have used a range of Green Tara flowers and other pink flowers from the store to create my two clusters.
I have used a lot of other little odds and ends from the shop, but by far the highlight is the range of beautiful pink flowers.

Thanks for coming to check out my LO.
I hope that all the lovely ladies her had a great Mother's day doing whatever it is that you wanted to be doing.
Till next time
Take care

Happy Today | Amanda Lawrence

Hi all!

There are some really awesome challenges on offer for our April/May cybercrop over in The Scrap Suite.

I was inspired by Amanda H's 'Pink and Blue' challenge so decided to play along.

Here's my layout:

I love using pink and blue together and it was the perfect colour scheme to scrap an Easter photo from last month!

I made a large cluster to the left of the photo with an assortment of flowers from the store. I also used some leaves from a pack of Creative Cuts which I added some hand stitching to for extra texture and detail. This and my photo were all layered on top of one of our delicate paper lace doilies.

I made a smaller cluster to the right hand side with more of the same elements. I also added some resin pieces and a flair button.

Hope you find some time to take on a few of our cybercrop challenges.

Till next time,
Amanda x

"Enjoy" by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,
Do you know why JAP - Just Add Paper kits - are called that? Literally, with just a sheet of paper you can make a page. Which is what I did this month. I had the March "Up and Away" Just Add Paper kit, and kit extras (extra flairs, tags, emphemera, journal cards), and I added one sheet of background paper. This is what I created....
I used many elements of the kit to the page, including the feature of the hot air balloon. You can see I clustered embellishments and layered paper elements from the kit.
Let's look at some close ups.
I used the wooden "enjoy" as the title, placed on top of some die cuts with some sequins.
The kit came with a sun stencil, so I stenciled a shiny yellow sun using Colour Paste, and then layered clouds and other embellishments with it.
Another cluster of clouds and stars and sequins. And the D-lish flair buttons in this kit are really cute!
I loved the hot air balloon die cut in this kit. I used the paper bag, the tissue paper and journal cards, to back the windows on the die cut. Add this amongst the doily and other kit elements, and the page is done!
Have you used your Up & Away Just Add Paper kit yet??
Thanks for looking,
