New Beginnings

Hi all,
hope you managed to get some crafty creative downtime during January.
Hard to believe the month is nearly over.

I couldn't go past the gorgeous Just Add Paper kit New Beginnings for my last post for the month.  All I had to do was add paper, a tiny bit of washi, a little bit of ink and some paste.   Super easy.

I even used the tag from the kit as my title.

I used a few bits and pieces from the kit including the twine but I've still got plenty left over for another couple of layouts.   These kits are super great value.   You can find them here.

Catch you next month.

"Born to be Wild and Free" by Renee Iveson

I am very excited to share the layout I created for the January Cyber Crop for my challenge: It's in the bag

This layout features a photo family getting back to nature and cooling of in a beautiful water hole north of Brisbane.

I have included lots of gorgeous D-lish goodies into this creation. I love the 5 x 7 bags, as you can probably already guess I use them quite a lot as a photo mat for my pics, hence the challenge! I have used a green stripy 5 x 7 bag, a black with white spots 5 x 7 bag and a small spotted kraft bag.

You can find the details about the current Cyber Crop on the Scrap Suite page HERE on Facebook.

Looking forward to seeing your creations,

Renee xoxo

Hi D-lish Scraps friends, almost the end of January already, gosh how time flies. So today I am popping in with my last January share. This layout is my layout for the current cybercrop over at the Scrap Suite, running until mid February, I hope you can check out the challenges.

In this next cluster you can see a coloured paper doily, JAP kit bits, forget me nots flowers.
In the last cluster I have used a memory maze chipboard word, plus coloured doily.

'This is Bliss' - CyberCrop Challenge by Amy C

Hello Again.I hope you had a great time celebrating Australia Day yesterday - perhaps eating a sausage or two, watching the fireworks, keeping cool and reminiscing about this great country.

I have here my take on the 'Tag' challenge. Again, I have created this page on an 8x12" format. I do love this size, as a nice change from the usual 12x12 format.
Down the track, I intend to have my 8x12 pages bound together, into an album. I think this size lends itself to an album.
The photo I used here was captured up at Falls Creek in Victoria's high country on one of our family summer treks - I do love the spirit of the mountains.

For the background, I have used patterned paper over my yellow inked splats! I have stamped the background using the bonus stamp set that I received from the store last year - a generous one off bonus gift at the time!

As pictured, behind the adhered photo from the store, I have used Bitty Bags, a printed tag from the 'Printed Tag Packs', resin flower, and an enamel dot.

In this little cluster here, I have used a gold circle from Charms Creations. This was the perfect backing for the wood veneer heart and die cut butterfly. These embellishments were from the fabulous 2018 Christmas Advent Kit.

To continue with the yellow and green theme, I have coloured the 'Colour Me Cuts' wildflowers from the store. I am loving the versatility of these.

You can use any form of ink or spray and 'off you go!..' I have used both enamel dots and a mini metal flower in the centre of the coloured flowers.

Finally, a die cut journal spot was placed behind trimmed 'Journal Its' words - used as the title.

I enjoyed putting together this simple page together.

I hope you can join in with the tag challenge - I look forward to seeing your creations!

Thank you for popping by!

Ciao, Amy

"#love" by Jasmine

Gold & Silver.

I am loving it at the moment and my inspiration is coming from the

If you have not created using this board yet, definitely put it on your list to use next.

I created my page using mostly pieces from this months
Just Add Paper Kit - New Beginnings
The gold flowers are divine and add a touch of
silver in the leaves
silver paper doily which I cut in half to use both sides along the edge of my photo,
string from the kit,
and lastly some resin flowers and a glittery silver heart from a previous kit.

So maybe I have inspired you to use some silver and gold now?

"Happy Days" by Anthea

Hello Everyone.  How are you today?
Today I am sharing with you a cute little LO of two of my favourite gals, my daughter and one of her cousins.  This whole LO was inspired obviously by the colours the girls are wearing, but by the "love" die cut.  I had coloured it for my "Monster Love" LO a few weeks back, but hadn't used it.  I decided it would suit these photos to a T.  (Waste not, want not!)

To start with I use some gesso through a D-lish stencil - this chevron one is perfect for drawing your attention to the photo(s) you are trying to highlight.  This one came from a D-lish JAP kit.  To colour it I simply applied some glimmer mist with a paint brush around the chevrons and with some splats here and there.  I mounted my photo with a piece of patterned paper and a D-lish doiley.
I then placed my rustic bloom in one corner with colour me cuts - these are probably meant for colouring but I really like the doodled look the give off when used raw.
I then used some ephemera from the "Slice of Summer" JAP kit to balance it out in the other corner.
I felt that the photos were still not popping, so I simply wrapped some wire in a rough circle and used that to highlight the photo of the girls that I wanted to stand out.
To finish the LO off, I simply added my "Love" die cut, another colour me not and a co-ordinating D-lish flair.
Once again I am loving the cool colours in this LO.  I hope you enjoy.
See you soon.

You & Me | Amanda Lawrence

Hi all!

Today I am sharing my final layout for the month. This was another creation from my retreat back in November last year.

It was created for one of the challenges which I was actually lucky enough to win! I was pretty excited and very grateful to be chosen, especially with the level of creative talent in the room.

I began by making a background using the packaging technique, some random stamping and then a few splatters of colour. Once this was done and dry I could set about creating the layers under my photo. I added one of the stunning lace paper doilies to the mix ... I really love these!

My main cluster features one of the stunning Wild Roses in black. I then added some more paper flowers, some resin flowers and a wood veneer heart from the advent calendar.

My title was made with one of the script word Creative Cuts which I simply coloured with some watercolour. My second and smaller cluster had a few of the same embellishments as before but I also added a Defining Words flair button. To finish, I added some glitter enamel dots and a few handstitched x's for some extra detail.

I'll be back next month with some more layouts to share!
Until then, happy creating.

Happy Halloween, by Amanda Hartmann

Hello D-lish Scraps fans!
How many of you were lucky enough to get an advent calendar for Christmas last year? Today is my first page from the kit - but I still have so much more - loads of pages possible from the kit!. And all I added was white cardstock and some watercolour to the background. Everything else is from the Advent calendar kit.
And I scrapbooked my pretty daughters on Halloween!
I layered tissue paper behind the photo, with a doily in half behind that.
I also cut a Journal it in half and used the two halves in two locations!
I layered flowers along the bottom of the photo, to replicate the floral headpiece Olivia had on. I also tucked a sequin bow and some enamel dots and sequins in there.  The arrow is a wood veneer, but I was able to paint it pink to suit!

I loved the flair in the kit and I used one above the title....

And one in the top right cluster... along with the Journal it, resin flower, another arrow and some sequins.

The title, I use the "hello" diecut. I traced the edges of the letters in black pen to highlight the word.

If you were NOT lucky enough to get an Advent calendar, then here are some links in store where you will find some similar and well priced products:
Have fun creating with your Advent calendar, and be sure to share any creations in our Facebook Group: The Scrap Suite.
Thank you,

Preparation is Key by Tracey B.

Hi all,
As this is the first month of the year my LO is all about First Experiences.
This is a photo of my son getting his first tattoo.
I started by gluing down some tissue paper and a little bit of texture paste through a stencil.   I painted some chipboard (this was not D-Lish Scraps but you can get some great ones here) and a wood veneer word from a previous JAP Kit  with acrylic paint.   I flicked the left over paint around the page.   With the left over I stuck on some punchinella (I find using glue with a needle nose applicator the best for this) and added the chipboard.   Then it was a simple case of adding my embellishments.
I used a date spot and the super cute micro resin stars (an absolute fav of mine) from the Boy Wonder JAP Kit, some star Epoxy stickers, a Pick n Place canvas bow, a flair button I also painted, twine and enamel heart stickers.   I finished off with some thread, beads and micro beads.

Hope you get a chance to join these great Cyber Crop challenges this month.

"You Make Me Happy" by Renee Iveson

Renee here, just popping into the blog to share a layout I created over the Christmas break.
This layout features one of my favourite pics of my eldest daughter when she had just turned 13.

I have included lots of gorgeous D-lish goodies into this creation.

I have used a past Just Add Paper Kit (aka JAP). This includes  paper doiliespaper flowers and leaves, Flair buttons, Creative Cuts, Raw Wood Veeners and finished off with Enamel Dots

When ever I finish a layout I always try to create a card and one of the great things about having a stash of D-Lish Scraps goodies is that it is really easy to quickly pop a card together with cute coordinating bits and bots.

Looking forward to seeing your creations,

Renee xoxo

Beautiful - Sandra Brimelow

Hi everyone, just popping in with my share for today, a cute little layout of my great niece.
This was a very sweet photo, so I wanted to create something equally as sweet, and came up with this layout. There are lots of items in the D-lish Scraps shop suitable for baby layouts.
In this first cluster, I have used colour me cuts wildflowers, which I painted with some Lindy's stamp gang colours. I added some die cuts from a previous JAP kit add ons pack, not currently available, but you may have in your stash. If you don't have this particular one, look out for new ones being released this year. I also added Little Birdie flowers - pearl gypsies and pearl petites. The title is a Memory Maze mini word.
This second cluster also features the colour me cuts wildflowersJAP kit bitsLittle Birdie flowers and a paper doily.
I hope you can find some summer time free to do some scrapping.
Until next time, happy scrapping.

'Fun' by Amy C

Hi All!
My layout share today is one created with a photo of a bunch of awesome girls that love a good laugh and have beautiful hearts. We only see each other once per year - but always have a blast together!

I created the background myself. I wanted to create a fun and happy page so as to compliment the photo.

I painted stripes using Colour Blast Artist Inks mixed with water - I used Mermaid, Soot, and Citrus - and to add a bit of a burnt orange look, I used the Colour Blast 'Sunset' Colour Spray.

Once the painted stripes had dried, for texture, I applied modelling paste over a D-lish 5x5 stencil

Next I did some stamping, in black, randomly - and then started to embellish! The embellishments I used were some wood veneer flowers, sequins and Colour Me Cuts flowers.

Behind the photo, as pictured here, I layered a few different products including Punchinella, Colour Me Cuts and a cream tea rose.

For the title, I selected the word 'fun' from one of the Creative Cuts packs in store and coloured it with a black Sharpie. I wrapped the twine around the bottom of the title and the photo.

Finally, in this large cluster behind the photo in the top corner I layered a few more awesome D-lish Scraps products: Colour Me Cuts, flairs, resin flowers, Bitty Bow clip, a Journal Spot from the December 'Slice of Summer' Just Add Paper kit, and a paint chip tab in yellow.
And so now the page was complete!

Thank you for popping by here - and I hope it leaves you feeling inspired.
