Love You More Than Words | Amanda Lawrence

Do you ever make a page, step back and think 'did I really just make that?' Well that was me with my latest layout I'm sharing today. To be honest. I'm not sure where the idea came from or how it evolved into the end product, but it did and I couldn't be happier with the result. I truly love how it turned out!

I had a set of the Creative Cuts - Flowers on my desk as one of them had torn while getting it off the sticky mat. I felt like playing with some of my watercolours (just a cheap set from officeworks) so I chose a few colours and began colouring the cuts. So often we use these cut outs white or 'as is' so I really wanted to jazz them up with a little colour.

I then dug through my scraps and found some coordinating tonal papers to back them with before finishing each with a little handstitching around the centres of each flower.

I used the same watercolours with my acrylic stamping block to add some colour to the background. I simply painted some colour on the block and stamped it down onto the cardstock to create a watercolour look. I also added a few flicks of each colour and then finally some black flicks and splatters to make it pop.

The tab was stamped on some scrap paper using the Everyday Words/Icons acrylic set from the store. I also added a flair button here as well. This one was from the limited edition mini kits but there are plenty of other designs to choose from here.

I had some of the Colour Me Cuts - Butterflies lying around and thought they would add the perfect touch to this page. I used the same cheap watercolours to paint them and I think they look amazing!

I finished off the page by stamping a few random 'xo' (which is also from the stamp set mentioned previously) and then a scattering of a few sequins from the loose mix bag available in the store.

I hope my share has inspired you today and also demonstrated how you can make something beautiful with very few supplies!

See you next time,
Amanda x
