When I saw this months inspiration board, Flights of Fancy, I drooled. I mean pink and white - does it get any 'girlier' and 'prettier' than that? Then the addition of grey/silver just topped it off!
I was originally going to use a black and white photo, but I came across this photo of my daughter on her Communion/Confirmation Day and decided to use it instead.
It was going to be a simple one photo LO, but something happened. Somehow, very quickly, I got a little crazy ended up creating a type of 'mini-album', showcasing my favourite photos of her day and a 'page' that tells the story of her special day.
The first two pages are my favourite; I am yet to add my journaling(I plan to do the 'old school' thing and type it on vellum and secure it under my photos on the second page) but want to leave it for now so as not to share too many personal details in a public place (I hope you can forgive me for that.) These two pages have lots of little embellishements that create lots of texture and interest.
The last page is all about the photos - I have a few little things here and there to make the page prettier, but ultimately I wanted the photos to be the feature of this page. I think I succeeded.
I am not going to do a step by step for this LO. I think it is fairly self explanatory. I will admit I made a few mistakes in this - so it is not exactly the way I want. I also had a lot of trouble getting stuff to stick to the shiny surfaces of the manilla folders so recommend if you ever use these....have a good glue handy.
For this LO I have used a ton of D-lish goodies; I have used washi (from a past JAP kit), doileys, creative cuts, enamel dots, flairs, fabric flowers, leaves, glitter hearts from past JAP kits (the pink one is from the JAP kit 'Love like this', resin butterfly.
For those of you who want to see it - this is the inspiration board for this month.
Thanks for looking at my LO and as always I hope I have inspired you to go and create a wonderful page of your own.
Til next time,
