‘It’s May!’ by Amy

It’s May!
And, in Australia, and most other countries around the world, Mother’s Day is coming up. Mother’s Day is a day for honouring our Mothers here and sometimes remembering them.

Today, I am going to show you some simple handmade cards to give to your special ladies.

As pictured, I have prepared four cards. Two are using Kraft Cardstock and the other two using white cardstock with watercolour paper.

To prepare these cards, I randomly stamped ink onto the embossing folders then lightly sprayed with water and placed trimmed watercolour cardstock into the folders – and then ran it through the Cuttlebug.
Next, I heat-dried the inked area and adhered it to the white cardstock. Once complete, it was time to embellish with D-Lish Scraps goodies.

From the divine April ‘Peach Twist’ Just Add Paper (JAP)kit, I have used: green paper doily, flair, paper flowers, and leaf veneers. Also, from the D-Lish Scraps store, I have used a white paper doily, Washi tape, and a shaped wooden button!

For this card, from the ‘Peach Twist’ JAP kit, I have used: a flair, paper flower, leaf veneer, and a resin flower.
To compliment this gorgeous cluster, I have used a paper doily, fabric flower, Washi tape, and a lace butterfly, also from the D-Lish Scraps store.

The tones of the colours were perfect to use with Kraft cardstock. I used both cardstock and patterned paper for my background.

For this card I used a green paper doily and paper flowers, again, from the ‘Peach Twist’ JAP kit. A wood veneer frame was used here. For some bling, I added some D’Lish dots.

The gold glitter frame was Die Cut using my trusty Cuttlebug. I placed it over a Fringed Fancies from the ‘Printed Tag’ pack.
In the little cluster pictured, I have used a flair and paper flowers from the limited edition Mini Kit in Peach Passion (I love this).
I have used the title ‘love’ and trimmed a Vellum Butterfly to complete the card.
The MiniKits are a real little treasure! Make sure you pop into the D-Lish Scraps store and have a look!

I hope this leaves you feeling inspired to make something special for Mother’s Day.
Thank you for dropping by.
Amy 😊
