"You Rock My World" by Anthea

Hi all.
Today I am sharing with you a LO of me and my gorgeous gal.
I started off by smearing some texture past through a D-lish stencil - I just wanted a little bit sneaking out from my photos but decided it wasn't quite enough when I sat my photo on top of it, so to make it stand out a bit, I drew around a few edges in black to make them pop a bit more.
I then cut some coordinating papers into strips of paper - roughed them up a bit and sewed them down as a backing to my photo. For the most part I left the strands of thread hanging wild and free as I like how it grunges up the page a bit.  I also laid down some strips of washi tape that you can see sneaking through in some of these photos.  This particular tape came from a past JAP kit
I then placed my flowers  (I have a cabbage rose, magnoliarustic blooms and a flower from a past JAP kit) into little clusters in shade of green and orange.  I also placed in a cute little black and white polka dot bow for good measure.
I wasn't really sure at this stage what my title was going to be - but I spied the 'You Rock' creative cut in my stash and decided that the bold black title would look really funky with this LO and went for it. This creative cut is from the recent, 'Boys Rule' JAP kit.  I love these creative cuts - they are always perfectly cut and I love how parts of your page peak through the titles and patterns on them.   I added the strip journaling as I wanted to add more to the title but in a subtle way.
As you can see I did the same on the smaller photo, but added a bitty bow instead.
I was pretty happy with how this turned out in the end.  It was simple (except for the sewing because I really suck at sewing) but fun and bright at the same time.
I hope you like too.
Till next time
Take care
