This is my take on the March D-lish JAP kit and inspiration board, Boys Rule.
If you haven't seen it yet - it is black and white with tons of different shades of blues. There are also lots of stars and spots thrown in for good measure and the whole thing is one of my favourite inspiration boards yet.
This is the inspiration board.
I found this colour scheme perfect to scrap a pic of my boy who has just recently turned 18, I also found that by turning the photos into black and white, they worked really well with this board.
The whole LO is base around the photos and the shaker card I made using lots of sequins that I had in various shades of blue (a lot are from D-lish). My shaker card is nothing spectacular and I am dubious as to how well it will hold up, but I love the look and feel of it. I wish I could show you how cool it looks when you shake it about. I have added a bunch of photos to try to show you.
I then added ripped up strips of washi tape behind the photo and the shaker card to balance the LO out a bit.
Once I had the photos, washi and shaker card where I wanted them, I added the finishing touches. I have D-lish glitter dots, D-lish enamel dots and D-lish faceted dots. I also have lots of D-lish star chipboard pieces and a black and white D-lish enamel heart from a past JAP kit.
I was pretty happy with how it all turned out. I would love to see your take on the board and I remind you that you can shareyour page here or on The Scrap Suite group on Facebook.
Also, don't forget you have a couple more weeks to add your LOs for the February CC for your chance to win a prize pack from D-lish
Thanks for coming to check out my LO in closer detail.
Till next time.
