I'm here to share my first layout for February with you all today.
This photo was taken just before we headed off to celebrate my daughters 5th birthday with her school friends. I wanted it to be a really girl page so have used lots of layers and pretty floral embellishments.
I built up layers under my photo with pieces of paper doilies and cut up punchinella. By chopping it all up you can make a little bit go a long way. The colours were inspired by the floral design on the black paper so I dug deep into my stash pulling everything I could find that would suit.
I used lots of paper flowers, some resin pieces, flair, wood veneer, journal spots and a bow to create this cluster.
The title was made by layering the 'my girl' chipboard word from Kinder Kreations on some cardstock bunting I found in my stash. This was a premade one but you could easily make your own with some paper scraps and twine.
I added the memories tag to the top of the photo that I had from a past 'Just Add Paper' kit. They really are a brilliant way to get a variety of bits and pieces to add to your stash. More flowers, resin and flair made up this secondary cluster. The larger pink flower was actually a rose that I cut the centre out of, flattened and then added an enamel bead to the centre.
Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed seeing my layout.
I'll be back later in the month with another share.
