My share for you today is a page that I, surprisingly, really like. Why? Well I used something that I normally don't use and I really like how it turned out.
So I don't normally chose BIG embellishments for may pages. If I do use a largish embellishment it's normally a patterned chipboard that I can place behind a photo or can cover most of it up.
This time I fell in love with this raw wood veneer bicycle that was in a past Just Add Paper kit. How gorgeous is it!!!!
I normally would not use something like this but I thought wow I can make this the feature on my page and can put a photo in the front wheel.
I love the look of raw wood veneer too so I decided to leave it raw and not paint it.
I placed some yellow punchinella under the bicycle over the gauze to add more dimension. My eldest daughter loves this punchinella as it's holographic which apparently is very cool at the moment...and here I am using it on my scrap page.
I decided to keep up using the bicycle as the feature and used some coloured wire around the front wheel like a frame.
Plus some paper flowers in the basket, so cute hey?!?!?
Lastly I added in a title from a yellow paint chip tab, my go to titles.
So what do you think? I haven't put a photo in which I know is a bit weird, but I'm really enjoying just creating at the moment without using a photo.
Would love some feedback on what you think of my page...and if you've used a BIG embellishment in this way before.
Happy scrapping...xxx Mal
