Love Like This - Sandra Brimelow

Hi everyone, I am back with my second share for the month.
This layout, I created using one of the Just add paper kits. So easy to use, and really, there isn't much more than a bit of paper added, plus a bit of paint, sequins and stamping.
Love Like This
So I used the Love like this JAP kit for this layout. It is a pretty kit, and it worked well for this layout.
This first cluster features the tag from the kit, and it was just right to use for my layout title. I also added the glitter heart, yellow flower and black and white flower from the JAP kit.
The second cluster features the journaling tag, flair, yellow flowers and pink flower from the JAP kit. It also features a coloured paper doilyCreative Cuts heart, and wood veneer leaf.
The last cluster features the date tag, bow, yellow flower and washi tape all from the JAP kit.
So do yourself a favour, if you haven't discovered the JAP kits yet, take a look and see how you could use one.
Until next time, happy scrapping.

‘Happy Memories’ by Amy

Hi All!

Welcome to another share for the month of August. Speaking of August, the photo pictured of Amanda Hartmann and I was captured at a Scrapbook Retreat this time last year.

Amanda is a fellow D-Lish Scraps Design Team Member. She is a gorgeous person with a kind heart and has a quirky sense of humour too. Thank you for your friendship, Miss Amanda. XX

I wanted to keep this page soft and simple, so using a sheet of heavy white cardstock and the mini D-Lish Stencil in diamond design from ‘A touch of Luxe’ JAP Kit. I applied it around the page with white modelling paste. And adhered the trimmed cardstock to matching patterned paper. Then set work to the layers behind the lovely photo.

I trimmed down various sheets of patterned papers to co-ordinate with my embellishments. From the D-Lish store, as pictured here, I have used the following goodies:
- paper doily in black, creative cuts title ‘Happy’,
- die cut journal card from a past JAP Kit to put the date on it.

If you look at this close up on the right-hand side of the photo, I have made a tiny cluster. I have fussy-cut the vellum butterfly and combined it with the a fabric pennant. These were from the ‘Limited Edition Mini Kits’ from earlier this year .The subtitle ‘Memories’ was trimmed down from the monochrome journal pack from the D-Lish Store.

Finally, in this little cluster on top of the textured diamond design, I have used:
- a flair, paper flower and both the journal spot and fussy-cut vellum butterfly from a past JAP kit.

I am happy with the way this page came together and hope it inspires you!

Thank you for stopping by.

Ciao for now, Amy

"Selfies" by Jasmine

I love creating monochromatic pages.
You would think they might be boring but it is amazing how using the same colour can create a fabulous page.
The different textures and shades of the same colour make for stunning results.
With this page I went with pink.
I do love pink but not something I purposely choose.
I think I own 2 pink pieces of clothing but if I see pink in a shop, it really attracts me... I just don't seem to buy it.
But somehow, I have a lot of pink in my scrap stash....
So lots of D-lish Scraps goodies to choose from for my page.

And a close up of the D-lish goodness

I have used:

So if co-ordinating patterns or colours is just too hard sometimes, go monochromatic.
You will whip up a page in no time ;)

"Hello" by Anthea

Hello Everyone

Today I am sharing with you one of my new favourite layouts.  I created this on a day where I was really having trouble putting a page together.  Nothing was working for me and nothing was inspiring me at all - that is until I saw this picture of my daughter and one of her friends I had taken while out walking one day.

As you can see the girls are wearing similar colour clothes and I decided to smoosh some 'matching' colour paint on the page and go from there.  Once the paint was dry I stamped randomly with some stamps to create just a little bit of texture.

I then simply added a cute D-lish flair and sequin bow with another butterfly button I have had for ages to the corner of my photo.

My inclination here was to add heaps more to my page, but that was where I kept running into problems with every other LO I had tried, so I decided to go against my gut instinct and instead keep the layout really simple.

To finish it off I simply added a quick quote and some gorgeous purple faceted enamel dots for a bit of extra texture.

It was actually quite difficult to keep the LO as simple as this but I am glad I did because I really like how it has turned out.  I hope you too like my layout and I hope that I have shown you that sometimes the KISS method really does work best, especially when you have gorgeous little feature embellishment  from D-lish to work with.

Till next time

Take care

Anthea

Birthday Boy | Amanda Lawrence

Hey scrappers!
I'm back with my second share for August, this time my layout features my little man who turned 11 not so long ago.

This layout was made using pretty much nothing other than the 'Birthday Boy' Creative Cuts set and a little patterned paper.

I added a little mixed media to help the cuts pop off the background. Some of them were backed with paper, others I coloured or doodled on.

I used a Journal Its jumbo note tag to document the gifts he received before tucking it inside a bitty bag behind the photo. I also added a 'smile' flair button from a past JAP kit.

To finish I added a scattering of faceted enamel dots around the page.

Such a quick an easy page ... anyone can do it!

Unicorn Party, by Amanda H

Hi D-lish fans!

Today I am sharing 3 projects that I created for my daughters unicorn birthday party. I love to do a theme and add some little details to make the party great. For the today's project, you will see the touches of D-lish Scraps that made them perfect!

Here is my birthday girl, Olivia - 13 years old (another teenager in the house) and still sweet enough to want a unicorn party!

It is always fun to have a eye-catching entrance to a party. For this I used crepe paper and vines over and around the front door. The first project I am sharing today, was the front door sign to finish the entrance to our house.

For this sign, I combined a few D-lish embellishments. Please note: the large unicorn diecut on the sign was cut from my friend's diecut machine. However I did use the D-lish Scraps Unicorn Dreaming Creative Cuts kit for the cloud and unicorn word diecut.
Along the bottom of the sign, I used the lovely skinny washi tape- a new roll of this has been coming in the Just Add Paper kits each month.
In the bottom corner and near the cloud, I created clusters using:
and hand-cut vellum butterflies from a past kit.

The second project was Olivia's unicorn headband. I took a regular headband from the junk shop and gave it the D-lish treatment....

To this headband I have added:
* Apple Blossom flower from the Just Add Paper kit - Touch of Luxe.

The final project, was the party bag gift. I made each girl a unicorn candle. I bought white candles in small glass jars for quite cheap at K-mart and then turned them into unicorns!

I cut a gold glitter horn, shiny paper ears, drew unicorn eyes and then finished with a D-lish Scraps resin flower (and a heart sticker from my stash). I also used that lovely skinny washi tape around the base of each candle. Combined with some chocolates and lollipops and the party bags were done!

Well, we had a fun and fabulous unicorn party! And as always, I am so grateful for my D-lish Scrap goodies to complete my projects for that special finishing touch!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

Creative Cuts with Ros Aggett-Madley

Hi Everyone, today I'm sharing my take on this months Inspiration Board.

I took my inspiration from the first picture.

I have used some gelatos to colour some Creative Cuts Flowers and left a few white.  I coloured some cut out circles and a border in the same colours.

I layered these around my photo with some Pastel Petals and Little Birdie flowers

To balance out the cluster, I have popped a Bitty Bow Clip at the top of my photo.

Please join us this month.
You can find all the details you need to enter under the 'Current Inspiration Board & Rules' tab at the top of the page. Entries need to be linked by no later than midnight on the 31st August, to go in the running for the fabulous prize on offer.
