"Pink hair", by Amanda Hartmann

Hi all,

Over at The Scrap Suite we are still hosting our cybercrop! All current challenges run until the end of May!

And I have set this colour challenge: Create a project using pink AND blue for a girl or a boy!
Personally, I love pink and blue together... and it was super easy with this gorgeous picture of my oldest daughter with new pink hair.

I started this page by glueing a panel of light blue tissue paper down half of the page. Then I added pink splatters!

With the photo mounted on pink paper and also a paper lace doily, I then added the title on either side.

Next came the D-lish Scraps embellishments.

In this lower corner I combined some pink and blue flowers, with a sequin pink heart from a past Just Add Paper kit. I also included a Flair Button.

Throughout the page I scattered sequins and hand cut some words from an Ombre wordfetti sheet.

Also, I painted some Colour me Cut butterflies in pink and stuck them to the layout. I added some machine stitching through the centre and then lifting the wings for dimension.

Close up of wordfetti, flower and sequins.

Thanks for looking,
I hope you join the cybercrop challenges this month! I want to see your pink and blue!

"Sweet" by Jane C

Hi Everyone,

My share with you today was born out of the gorgeous creative cuts script words you see. They were lying on my desk from a previous lo and as I was about to pack them up I decided they would look great all on one page.
And this is the result

I created some layers using a doily, cards and tags...

and finished it off with paper & resin flowers, a couple of flairs, a sequin bow and some sequins from a JAP kit.

Don't you just love how D-Lish have the perfect finishing touches for every page?
Hope you are having a beautiful day

‘Enjoy the moment’ by Emma Malinowski

Hi Everyone! I am back with another layout with some gorgeous D-lish embellies.

This photo is a sillouhette of my daughter standing on a sculpture at sunset when we were holidaying in Merimbula a couple of years ago. I chose the colour palette of gold and black which allowed me to used the neutral wood veneer embellishments easily.

A close up of the paper flowers in this small cluster. I have tucked a flair under the flowers, and I am loving the faceted enamel dots which I have just discovered!

I have used a small doily under the photo and black wire to help make the photo pop! I have also added a creative cuts scribble circle to balance out the dark colours.

Thanks for dropping by!

Emma. :)

Scenic route by Tracey B

Hi everyone

Hope you all had a great Easter and managed to recharge your batteries with some crafting time.
Once a month I go though my pile of papers with a rough plan about what I'm going to do for the month.   This keeps me focused and enables to make the most of my time.   This month I came across some postcards my sister and I had sent our parents pack in 1994.   Perfect for Jane's challenge over at the Scrap Suite!
I started by laying down some paint with a brayer and then some random stamping.   A little bit of journaling on a journal card from a JAP kit, and a couple of clusters including flowers, pip berry stems, stamens, a flair button and some sequins and I was nearly done.
A lace butterfly to finish up.   These are suer great value and come in a range of great colours.   Just perfect for the last touch.

Enjoy and see you next month.

"Oi Oi Oi" by Anthea

Hello everyone - today I have a quick share for you featuring my gal on Australia Day.

My layout consists mostly of the ephemera from the Love Always JAP kit.  I found the reddish/pinkish tones in this kit worked really well with the cool blues in my photo and 'splashed' watercolour background. I simply layered the pieces at different heights around the photo to create a look I like.

I then finished off with a few enamel faceted dots and a couple of coordinating resin stars and a simple title.

The whole layout was really simple to put together because everything in the kit just co-ordinated so well together.  I also love the fact that you can take parts of a kit to turn it in to something completely different to what it was originally.

Till next time, take care.
Hugs
Anthea

Happy Hour | Amanda Lawrence

Hi scrappers!

I'm here to share my final layout for April with you all today.

These photos of my best friend and I were taken at the S&M Retreat @ Marcoola in November last year. The cocktails were amazing!

I used a variety of Paper Flowers from the store ... there are just so many beautiful shapes, colours and sizes, you must check out the range available. I also tucked in a sequin bow and a tassel from a past JAP kit.

I used more paper flowers to create a smaller cluster and also tucked in a flair from the Script Words set.

A super simple layout that didn't take me long to create at all.

"Joy" by Amanda H

Hello all,

Today I am sharing this joyful page of my silly fun-loving family!

I went with a blue background and kept things simple with some washi tape from my enormous D-lish Scrap wash tape stash, and of course finishing with all things D-lish!

I used washi tape strips down the edges, balanced on either side. These anchored the photo on the right and the title on the left.

With the blue background, I combined blue embellishments with grey and peach coloured bits. A different colour combination, but I do love it!

Under the photo I included:
Paper clip flag from past Just Add Paper kit, &

I combined this with some stickers, and words in a list, and some splatters!

I repeated more of the same with the title "Joy" on the left side of the page. But also managed to find the perfect D-lish Scraps flair button too!

Thanks for looking today!

"Love" by Jane Carrie

Happy Easter!

Today I am sharing my layout for our cyber crop over at The Scrap Suite. My challenge is "No Photos". This card was attached to the first rose my (now) husband sent me over 20 years ago! He sent it to my work, which was so out of his comfort zone and for a very long time I always carried this card in my handbag.

To complete this lo I have used some colour me cuts & a creative cut for the title, doilies, a sequin bow (these are a favorite) and some washi tape.

I have also used paper roses, some of which I sprayed with gold mist and the little gold hearts are from the January "new beginnings" JAP kit.

Do you have a special memento? Or a letter one of your kids might have written? Maybe a ticket to an event that holds a special memory.
I hope you get some time to create this Easter break and head over to The Scrap Suite to join in all our challenges. I can't wait to see what you all come up with :)

Have a safe and blessed Easter..Jx

"You make me happy" by Emma Malinowski

Hi all!

I have created this page for the April - May cyber crop, and my challenge is ‘Bash your Stash’. I am sure we all have some leftover bits and pieces from previous JAP kits, I know it was very easy for me to put this page together with what I already had!

For my layout, I created a mixed media background with some paint and stamps and then added lots of D-lish goodies. I love this photo of my youngest, she has curly hair and had ringlets at the time and loved wearing this superhero outfit too. A cute photo to scrap!

I have used some tissue paper to matte my photos which has created a softer look. I have added some card stock and a white and yellow paper doily to add some layering behind the photo.

In this closeup, you can see the paper flowers, and the resin flowers I have used in this cluster and also the flair button

This close up shows the journal its, some yellow cotton twine and another flair button.

I look forward to seeing your entries for this challenge over at the Scrap Suite

Fun times by Tracey B

Hi everyone.
My turn on the blog and I'm scrapping a LO of my niece and her husband for the April/May cybercrop challenge over at The Scrap Suite.
Don't you just love a good fancy dress party!
It's rare these days that I scrap with a large photo so I was a little lost at first so I started by matting my photo using a doily, punchinella, paper bag and tissue paper as some of the layers.   Some stamping for my background then I was ready to embellish.
For my main cluster I've used a sequin bow (just love these and such great value), a tassel, flair button, faceted enamel dots and a flower.
I balanced the LO with a couple of smaller clusters using the dots and a flower but adding a heart enamel sticker and a couple of paint chip tabs for a bit of variety.   In my third cluster I included a Bitty Bow Clip and some fags from a freebie kit, A Creative Cuts speech bubble, twine and a diecut from a previous JAP kit finished it all off.

Enjoy and happy crafting!

Beautiful Moments | Amanda Lawrence

Hi all!
I'm back with my second layout share for April, this one is my sample layout for our April/May Cybercrop that kicked off over in The Scrap Suite on the weekend.

My challenge is to create a 'Spectacular Sunburst' as a design feature on your project. Here is mine ...

I'm not going to lie, the hand stitching took a loooong time to do but totally worth the effort for the end result. I cut it from the white cardstock using my Cameo and the backed it with some patterned paper. I added some other paper layers under my photo and one of the stunning 6" lace paper doilies to soften up the look.

Next I set about embellishing with a stack of D-lish products. I knew I wanted to have two main clusters, one to the left and one to the right which would be tied together by the large title piece. I used a variety of paper flowers, flair, sequins and some resin flowers.

The other side was much the same, just on a smaller scale though I also added a Charms Creation heart and a sequin bow in peach ... one of my faves!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope I have inspired you to create your own 'Spectacular Sunburst' and enter it into the challenge :)
