Green with envy

Hi everyone
hope you all had a wonderful Christmas shared with friends and family.
This LO was inspired by one of the Cyber Crop challenges this month set by Amanda Lawrence, owner of D'Lish Scraps.   Birthday Bingo!   I love this so much I'm planning on doing an entire album of friends and family based on these prompts.

For my birthday this year I had to work with Stamping as a technique, Green as the colour and butterflies as an embellishment.   I started with my usual technique of paste through a stencil however this time I used gelatin coloured with squid ink and added glitter.   Long story for another day!
Once dry and no longer smelly (!) I added some background stamping and my title.   This had a change in position from the middle of the page to the bottom left.   This left me with a bit of tatty card stock in the center which I covered with a fussy cut butterfly.

All that was left was to add some more embellies including some punchinella,  a bow from the Boys Rule JAP Kit, a flair button, some stamens, a resin flower along with some Forget Me Not flowers, some more butterflies, Enamel Hearts and Enamel dots.

Still heaps of time to join in the challenges this month.   Hope to see your creations.

"Be Happy" by Renee Iveson

Hello!
I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and were as spoilt as I was!
I am very excited to share the layout and card I created recently while on holidays from work :)

This layout features one of my current favourite pics of my son.

I have included lots of gorgeous D-lish goodies into this creation. This includes the D-Lish paper flowers and leaves, Wood veeners, the Paint Chip Tabs and finished off with sequins and a Flair button

I have used a D-Lish Scraps Creative Cut for the title and painted it with black gesso to make it co-ordinate with this layouts colour scheme.

Looking forward to seeing your creations,

Renee xoxo

80 years young - Sandra Brimelow

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had an enjoyable Christmas.
I have had my parents visiting from Queensland, so that has been nice.
My share today, actually features my father, from his 80th birthday this year.
80 years young
I created this layout, using one of the current cybercrop challenges, set by Amanda Lawrence, owner of D-lish Scraps. She has created a birthday bingo challenge, here are the clues:
From the clues, I used stencilling, a splash of yellow, and a flair.
I started off my creating my background, using a number 5 x 5 stencil, it is pretty cool. I used texture paste and some Ken Oliver colour bursts for the colour.
In this second cluster, I have also added a Magnolia flower and sequin bow.
My Dad loves his layout, so this was a fun challenge to use for it. I hope you join in for the challenges, if you have some spare time over this holiday period.
Until next time, happy scrapping.

#LoveThis

Hi there!

I hope you had a very enjoyable Christmas with your family and friends.

Looking back on this year, a highlight for me was when I attended an awesome retreat and found myself in a room full of amazing people. Pictured here is one such person - a fellow D-lish Scraps DT member - Amanda Hartman - enjoying a quiet drink before some fun times - love this girl and her infectious spirit!

For this page, I was inspired by last month's 'Arabian Nights' Moodboard. The colours were perfect to use here. I love the pinks, purples and blues.

I have mounted the photo onto paper and tissue paper from the 'Arabian Nights' JAP kit.

In this large cluster here from the 'Arabian Nights' JAP kit, I have included die-cut journal cards, Pixie Blooms in pink, a lavender leaf, navy pom pom trim, and cardstock feathers.

I have watercoloured some 'Colour Me Cuts' flowers from the store - OMG! - these are fabulous! I need to get some more. They are a fun DIY embellishment.

For this cluster I have used paper flowers and a Creative Cuts heart around the title.

As pictured here, I have used a pink Pixie Bloom and a trimmed die-cut journal card alongside the photo. I have also included a flair button, cute cabbage roses, Colour Me Cuts flowers and enamel D-lish Dots.

Finally, here is a close up of the cluster above the photo - at the top of the page. I have used some remnants of the navy pom pom trim - these make gorgeous embellishments to a page.

I just loved working with these pretty colours!

Thank you for dropping by. See you next year here at the D-lish Scraps blog!

Love, Amy xx

'No Santa Photos' by Jasmine

Ho Ho Ho.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

I have created a Chrissy page just for the occasion using an older photo of my kiddies.
When my twins were small, they were so scared of Santa and I never wanted to "scar" them by making them take a photo.
So we started our own tradition taking our own set of Chrissy photos each year.
They usually start of serious... then end up like this.
Serious fun.

And a couple of close ups to see the D'lish pieces

Enjoy the rest of your Happy Christmas and I will return in the New Year.

Ho Ho Ho!

"Together" by Anthea

Hello and Merry Christmas to you all.

If Christmas is something you celebrate I hope you are all ready for the big day tomorrow (or if you celebrate in European style) you are ready for a great night tonight.

Christmas to me means a lot of things, but the thing I love the most about it is coming together and spending a very fun filled day with family.  This LO features a pic of my mum and I celebrating Christmas a few years back.  I have absolutely no doubt we had had our fair share of food and champagne when this pic was taken and we were just enjoying being together. I love this pic and wanted it to be the feature of my LO.

If you are a regular follower of D-lish, you will know that this is my sample page for my challenge in this months CC.  My challenge is a nice and easy sketch challenge.  For more details on this - please check it out on The Scrap Suite

Being that we are wearing the traditional red and green colours of Christmas, I decided to go with those colours in my LO.  I started with a piece of plain white card stock I applied some white texture paste through a D-lish stencil as my base and once that was dry, I had an absolute blast flicking paint all over my LO.  As you can see I did not over think this at all.  I LOVE the effect!

I then placed a D-lish chevron paper bag as a matt for my photo; I love even though the bag is a simple touch it still brightens up the whole LO.

I then created a small cluster with a fabric bloom, a sequin bow and a tag from a JAP kit I had on hand.  I then took some colour me cut leaves and tucked them in behind my cluster and on the opposite corner.  I had planned to actually colour these but I ended up deciding that I like them like this - they kind of look like they have been doodled on .

To complete the LO I added a raw wood veneer title that came in another JAP kit.

This is my favourite type of LO, very simple but filled with lots of D-lish goodness.

Thanks for taking time out of what I know is a busy day to take a quick look at my page.

Once again.  Merry Christmas to you. I hope the big man in red is good to you and your family, I hope and pray your tummy is filled with good food and drink tomorrow, I hope your heart is filled with love and your day is filled with laughter.

Till next year.
Take care
Hugs

My Sweet Unicorn | Amanda Lawrence

Hi all!
Can you believe there's only two sleeps until the big day?!?! It sure has crept up fast. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves to create the perfect Christmas for everyone but at this time of year it's important to remember to be kind to yourself. Take care and don't stress over the little things, it's being together that matters the most.

My layout share today is one I created on retreat back in November and is titled 'My Sweet Unicorn'

I created the cut file myself and cut it out on my cameo. I knew I wanted the pastel rainbow diagonal striped paper to be my feature so I used that as a border for my page and also to back two of the letters. I then dug through my scraps for some tonal papers that were in colours to match and backed the remaining letters and unicorn horn. One of my photos was placed inside the 'o' in unicorn.

After matting my second photo and layering it on a paper doiley, I created a large floral cluster to the right using all the colours from the striped paper. I used a variety of paper flowers, some resin and a wood veneer heart.

I created a second cluster on the opposite side using more paper and resin flowers, a canvas bow, a polka dot date tab and another wood veneer heart.

At the top of the title I created a smaller cluster using some more of the smaller paper and resin flowers from before.

I hope I have inspired you to get creative today.

Till next time,
Amanda x

London memories, by Amanda H

Hello D-lish fans!

Not long until Christmas! I hope you get some holiday time and that that includes some scrapbooking time. If you do, be sure to join our  monthly Cybercrop challenges at the Scrap Suite. These challenges run until January.

My challenge was to use a travel photo - and I have one here of the iconic London phone booth. I used a a black and white colour scheme - adding the red to match the booth!

I started with white cardstock and created my background with some texture paste (through a D-lish 5x5 stencil), some red bursts and some random stamping.

Behind the photo, I layered a few different D-lish scraps products:
some Journal it Wordfetti in white, that I got in a special kit.

Let's look closer at some of the details:

In the left side cluster I added: a Journal it spot, a bitty bow clip, a red paper tea rose, enamel dots , resin flower and a D-lish flair button. You will also see some twine (taken from the outside wrapping of a Just Add Paper kit) and coloured wire. I also included the red and white stripe star, taken from a past JAP kit.

Here you can see the detail of the stencil work. I have LOVED collecting skinny washi tape in my monthly Just Add Paper kits. This is an old red spotty one and was perfect on my layout!

Here you can see how I wrapped the twine and wire around the bottom of the photo.

I love the red star jewelled cabochon from my stash, although I heard a rumour that Amanda L has not been able to get these in store again. so sad! Also a resin glitter dot.

I hope you join my Cybercrop challenge!

Thanks for looking today!

Music soothes the soul by Tracey

Hi everyone!
Hard to believe Christmas is less than a week away.   Here's hoping I get some D'Lish goodness in my Christmas stocking!   Hint hint Santa! I've been mostly good :)

This layout was inspired by Amanda L's Cyber Crop Challenge Travel Bug.   As you know traveling is one of my passions so I had a multitude of photos to choose from.    This LO reminds me to not despair but look for the good everyday.   Hope it inspires you.

I started by laying down a couple of pastes through some stencils and a bit of random stamping.

I layered my photo with a doily and some punchinella.   My main cluster includes a flair button, paper flower, resin flower, bitty bow (I removed the clip) and some pearl cabochon stars (On special so super great value).

I added a couple of smaller clusters, typed my journalling and cut it into strips and spread it around the LO.   Some twine to tie it all together and some minifetti and I'm done.

Check out the Cyber Crop Challenges here.

Hope you have a great Christmas with a little "me time" for crafting.

"Sunshine" by Renee Iveson

Hello!
The countdown to Christmas is on in the Iveson household!
Today I am sharing another layout I created for the December Inspiration board: Slice of Summer
This has to be my favourite inspiration board so far!

This layout is of my eldest daughter who is 15 (OMG where has the time gone??!).

I used the December  'Just Add Paper' (JAP)  kit which makes creating a layout a breeze!

I have played with a  word wood veener and added in some wood veener flowers which are quickly becoming a new D-Lish fave of mine!
Who doesn't love a doily or 2? I have added in a pink paper one in the background of my layout.

You can find the details about the current Inspiration board SLICE OF SUMMER HERE.

I have used a selection of paper flowers which are such a bargain it is always a great idea to stock up! I love that the JAP kits have a mini stencil included too, this months was a beautiful monstera leaf, very versatile!

Can't wait to see what you are inspired to create for this months inspiration board!

Renee xoxo

Aperol Spritz - Sandra Brimelow

Hi everyone, I am back with my second share for December.
This layout is one I have created using one of the cybercrop challenges over at the Scrap Suite, that were posted last week. Take a look, there are some awesome challenges. My layout is inspired by the challenge set by Amanda Hartmann, a travel page.

Aperol Spritz
My layout is from my recent holiday to Italy, where I had many experiences, one of which was discovering the Aperol Spritz, oh my, so refreshing on a hot day.
Anyway, on my layout, I used a stencil from the Love Like This JAP kit, in spots around the edge of the page, with some texture paste.
In my first cluster, I have used a bitty bag, colour me cuts wildflowerspastel petals and bow from a past kit bits.
I keep finding bits in my left over JAP kits that suit all sorts of pages, lol.
Anyway, I hope you can find some time to create, and join in the challenges.
Until next time, happy scrapping.
