"Lazy Day" by Anthea

Hi all.
How is everyone going today?  I know where I am it is a little cold and a lot wet and I truly hope that not only us but those that need the rain are getting lots of it.  In saying that, this layout is so far removed from the wet rainy day we are having today.
It is a LO of my hubby and I relaxing on our balcony (la di da) on a cruise we went on earlier in the year.  I loved the blues in the sky and the sea but also loved the colour of our drinks so those were the colours I decided to base my page on.

I started with a pretty grungy base.  I swiped paint here there and everywhere; I removed the paint with a baby wipe through a stencil and then I drew with a water colour pencil through the same stencil. The stencil I used was not a D-lish one, but we have tons of stencils here that you can do the same thing with.
I then randomly glued some tissue paper (from a previous JAP kit) on that background and waited for it to dry and then proceeded to rip it off, leaving a beautiful mess of orange tissue paper to play with.  I then stamped randomly with ink and added some white dots with a sharpie pen.  To add even more texture I glued some seed beads (also from a pas JAP kit).  Seriously - if you love texture and you have never tried this....try it now.
Once my LO was sufficiently grungy, I added my photo, backed with a D-lish doily and some punchinella.  I then added my little cluster with the gorgeous orange flower (from the "Summer in Tuscany" kit) and blue bow.  I then randomly added glitter enamel dots here and there.
To complete my LO I added a simple LO with some vintage D-lish puffy alphabet stickers.
I hope you have enjoyed my LO and if it is raining where you are, I hope it has brightened your day even just a little bit.
Till next time.
Take care.
