Hi all again. How are you all doing? I don't know about you but I am finding how hard to believe the weeks are going by right now. I am barely having time to scratch myself let alone finding much time to scrap. Do you have bursts where you scrap a bunch and then taper off for a bit?
Anyways - I digress. Today's LO is another LO that I did at retreat recently. It has a lot of texture but was surprisingly pretty easy and not messy to put together.
I stared with a piece of textured paper - then I put some paint through a stencil (if you are looking for stencils we have lots here) and let it dry (that was the messiest part of this LO) and then stamped some stamps across the bottom of the paint, overlapping it. I love the grungy effect.
I then simply took some co-ordinating paper and ripped it up and tucked it behind my photos and then placed a doily (cut in half) as another layer. I took some back cotton and scrunched that up and used that as another layer.
Then it was simply a matter of embellishing.
I love the D-lish wood veneer pieces, so I lay them across my page. You can paint these but I love them raw.
I then cut a few quotes from a patterned paper and added a D-lish sequin bow (because you can never have too many of them).
I found the whole LO was missing a little something, so then (because nothing was stuck down at this stage) lifted everything up and flicked some black paint across the LO. I love the look of splatters here and there. If you like the look too but a scared to try the technique - I would suggest you try using some D-lish enamel dots. They have a very similar effect but you can place them exactly how you like.
Well - that is it for today.
