Our October Cybercrop kicked off over in The Scrap Suite on Friday night and it was my turn to set a challenge. With the new range of Tissue Paper available in the store I decided to set a challenge to use tissue paper on your project.
Here's my sample page:
The tissue paper creates such a cool effect, I'll show you how I did it.
First up I gathered my supplies: a small piece of tissue paper, a background stamp and some archival ink.
I then randomly stamped all over the piece of tissue until I had covered it all. It doesn't have to be perfect cause the next step is to tear it up into random pieces.
Then after quickly sketching out where my photo would sit, I added the torn pieces using a gel medium to the perimeter. It's goes on just like decoupage ... spread on some gel medium with a brush, lay the tissue on top and the gel over the top again to secure.
After this was done and dry, I was able to mat and add my photo before I began embellishing.
I used a bitty bow clip which I flipped sideways to suit, a Green Tara - Jasmine in pink, Flair from the Woodgrain Icons set, Tea Roses in our new colour - Powder Blue, and a scattering of resin pieces.
My second embellishment cluster was made up of a few more of the same elements from before.
My title was a wood veneer piece from a past JAP kit. You can also see the tissue in detail in this close up.
I hope I have inspired you to create your own stamped tissue paper for your next project!
Till next time,
