Today I am back to share my second layout for September with you. This one is a family snap from when we were our celebrating my daughters birthday earlier this year.
I used some gorgeous Simple Stories paper I bought recently for this page. I loved the bold black and white stripes (which happened to match my daughters top) and knew I wanted to add them down the side. I cut a strip and stuck it to the back of the cardstock making sure not to put any adhesive on the outer edge. After adding my black splatters I then tore away the edge of the white cardstock to expose the stripes underneath. This ensures that the layout remains 12x12. I added some more layers of the patterned paper behind my photo as well as a stunning lace doiley.
I made soft clusters of embellishments using some of the Jasmine flowers in ivory, a flair from the defining words set, a cotton tassel from a past JAP kit, some resin and forget-me-nots.
I also scattered a few of the wood veneer hearts from the value pack around my page.
I hope you have enjoyed today's share. I'll be back later in the month with a final layout.
Thanks for stopping by,
