Adore, with Ros Aggett-Madley

Hi everyone, my turn again!

It also happens to be my last turn as I step down from this amazing team.

This page was based around my painty background.  Some of the goodies from D-lish Scraps are 'raw', so are perfect for altering to the colours that match your projects.

Firstly I layered my photos on some Paper Doilies, gold thread and a little journaling.
I've then used some water colour brushes to colour a butterfly from a pack of Colour Me Cuts.

The Chipboard title has been heat embossed and the blue on there is a little paint dabbed on with some paper towel.

You'll also find on here a Bitty Bow and a few Sequins.

Thanks for joining me again, I've loved sharing with you

Hope you've been inspired.

It's a calling by Sandra Brimelow

Hi everyone, I am back with my last share for the month. This layout was inspired this months inspiration board, I loved it that much, lol.

I was inspired by the handmade flowers in the second picture, plus the colours. I made my own handmade flowers to replicate those in the board. I did this using wet tissue paper and a rubber stamp and moulded the paper over the stamp. I then added some paint to the ridges.

It's a calling

I hope you find the time to join in on the challenge.
Until next time, happy scrapping.

‘Happiness is this’

I went out for a walk on a cold and wet Sunday morning and spotted this little beauty in a garden patch.

I was mesmerised by the brightness of this green and the beauty of the little raindrops on the leaves. I envy those with great photography talent how they capture images like this so superbly.

I have scrapped this photo onto cardstock trimmed down to 12x8.

I have used a black polka dot bag as the main backdrop before I added my layers. Behind the photo I have used a gold foil doily and then adhered it to a wide strip of wood-panelled patterned paper.

The small cluster at the corner of the photo consists of paper flowers, resin flower and bows. I have also used a D-Lish Dot in green and a wood veneer leaf here. These goodies were perfect to use with the nature theme.

The title ‘Happiness Is’ is from a past JAP kit, as are the pink twine and washi tape.

From the D-Lish Scraps store I have used a flair, paper flowers and wood veneer leaves.

It was refreshing creating this page as was trying to keep it simple as the photo was my centre piece here. It’s also a nice reminder to ‘stop and smell the roses’ as they say.

Here is a close up for you.

Thank you!
Amy 😊

"14" by Jasmine

I can't believe how long it takes me to scrap a photo of a certain occasion.

The page I am sharing with you today is of my son and I on his 14th Birthday...
he is about to turn 17...
so three years in the making right?  Haha.

I created this at retreat last month. I think it's the fact that I search through photos for retreat that I come across pics like this.
But anyho, the memory has now been created.

I kept the page pretty simple, just highlighting the photo, the background work, and that gorgeous cluster of D-lish goodness which included a sequin bow and a mixture of resin flowers, paper flowers and a fabric flower.  Adding the combination of the three gives it so much texture.

So sometimes, less is more on a page, depending on what you are trying to highlight.

Have a great day.
I hope it's a 'scrappy' one.

"#Selfie" by Anthea

Hi Everyone. How are you all today? Hopefully well!?

Today I am sharing with you a very simple but I think effective layout.
I simply lay some strips of coordinating washi tape as my base. I then backed a black creative cut (that I think came from a mini kit) with some paper that I had stamped and placed my photo with a black mat over the top of that.  (Note - the film strip was actually cut to give it the illusion of length behind the photo.)
I added on a D-lish bow for good measure and a little bit of typed journalling to tie in the stamped sentiment (that I used to back the film reel) to the rest of the layout. This particular bow came from a past JAP kit (boys Rule) and can still be found here if you are looking for one.  As you can see, just because it was part of a boys kit does not mean it can not be used on a 'girl' page.
To finish I splattered some black mist and doodled a black line around the edge to frame the whole thing.

I had originally wanted to add more to my LO but decided I really liked the simplicity of it the way it was, so I left it.
Thanks so much for coming by to check out my layout.
Till next time
Take care

You & Me | Amanda Lawrence

Today I have my final DT project for September to share with you all.

This one is actually a photo from Christmas Day last year but you never would know that without reading the journaling ... it's certainly not christmasy at all!

With a black and white photo I really was free to use any colour palette I liked so I went with some soft mint and yellow.

I used a real mix of embellishments on this one. Some were pieces from past JAP kits I had left over and others were regular items from the store. Here I've used a flair, leaves, paper flowers, resin flowers and enamel dots.

A repeat of elements in a second cluster creates a balanced and harmonious design. I also layered in a lace doiley for softness and then added a little bow

That's it from me for this month. I'll see you back here in October!

"Happy Birthday to you", by Amanda H

 Hi everyone!
Welcome to the end run of pages for September.  I love using bright primary colours on pages!
A red background with some painted/stamped circles to create this page. Then I added a lot of word stamping. I used the D-lish Scraps Everyday words stamp set.
I used white flowers (Little Birdie, Carnations and Green Tara) and painted them yellow and blue to match the page.
I also added a lot of enamel dots. A perfect finishing touch!
More flowers, enamel dots and a D-lish Fair button.
A fab birthday page!
Thanks for looking!

Friends, with Ros Aggett-Madley

Hi everyone,
Today I'm sharing my page for The Scrap Suite monthly challenges.

This month I've gone with Blue and Green must never be seen.

On top of my layer of paint, I've added some Colour Blast paste with a Moroccan Fleur  stencil

I've layered my photo on a piece of torn card stock with some paper leaves layered underneath.  I added a little ink to the leaves for some more dimension.

I also added a paper doily under the photo with a sequin bow and chipboard word.

I also added a few D-lish Enamel Dots.

Down the bottom corner I also used another stencil, this time Fleur-de-lis.

Hope you've been inspired.

All you need is love and a dog - Sandra Brimelow

Hi everyone, I am back with my second share for September. This layout is my challenge layout for the cybercrop at  The Scrap Suite. I hope you have managed to take a look at the challenges.
So my challenge is to scrap a family pet. This puppy in the layout is my sons dog, Dusty, who we just adore so much. He has such a beautiful nature and a fun personality, and is extremely clever and handsome - yes I do love him, lol.
Anyway, these photos are from his first birthday, I just had to cook him a cake - carrot and peanut butter, he loved it.
All you need is love and a dog
It's a pretty busy layout, but it suited the photos well, I think.
This first cluster features a 5 x 7 paper bag to mat the photos, Creative Cuts die cutspaint chips tab wordJAP kit bits, wood veneer star.
I hope you manage to have a go at this challenge, and have some fun with it.
Until next time, happy scrapping.

'My Bucket List' by Amy C

Hi All!

It’s already mid-September! … I wonder how you are going with this month’s Cybercrop?

Well my inspiration this time was this list. I tend to have a liking for sitting down and writing a list. I like to be organised and love crossing things out as I complete them.

However, this time, I have challenged myself to write a different list, which may take a little longer to complete.

I have kept this page very simple, as the ‘Bucket List’ is my key factor here. The gorgeous D-Lish Scraps goodies came into their own, enhancing my list, visually, though.

After I splattered some inks on to my white cardstock, I adhered it to a contrasting sheet of blue cardstock.

Then it was time to work on my list!

As pictured here, I jotted down some of my goals on a D-Lish Scraps die-cut Journal It’s. A flair, Washi tape, and D-Lish Dots – and a bunny-shaped wooden button were all used, to decorate my goals here.

I have used a combination of Journal It’s, die-cut Journal Cards, and printed tags to display my list around the page.

As pictured here, I have simply used a bow and D-Lish dots. I have been waiting waiting to use this gorgeous wood veneer bicycle that I acquired in a past JAP kit.

I have used a paper doily, in yellow; flair, D-Lish dots, and Journal It’s.

In the left-hand corner, as you can see, and to complete my page, I have used a few divine goodies from the store: paper doily, bow, JournalIt’s, D-Lish dots, and some trimmed-down die-cut Journal Cards.

It was fun using the D-Lish Scraps embellishments to decorate the list. Actually, can I let you in a secret? I reckon that completing a bucket list is not the secret to a fulfilling life (although it is a fun list!) Instead, finding something you love and making a difference with it is! For example, for me, here, scrapbooking amongst friends! And so perhaps this page represents something more fulfilling than the bucket list itself!

Anyway, I look forward to seeing your lists – as part of this month’s challenge!

Ciao for now,

Amy 😊
