Do you art journal? by Mal

Do you art journal?

I don't do a lot but of late I've been doing a lot more and trying things in my art journal without the pressure of doing a page. I also love how all techniques when you art journal are all in one place.

Using an art journal means I don't use a lot of embelishments as I don't want to add anymore bulk to my journal.

So I tend to use a lot of paint, flat embies and stamps and stencils.

I used a couple of D-lish stencils on this page.
I used the mini stencil in cobblestone design from the JAP kit - Peach Twist. on wet paint I used a baby wipe to wipe over the stencil. It removes some of the paint in the design of the stencil...cool hey.

Then I used the spider web stencil and used it as a stamp. I wiped over it with ink and stamped with it.

I've got heaps of the D-lish stencils; they're the perfect size at 5x5 to use on a page, or a card or an art journal page.

I took some of the vellum butterflies from a past Just Add Paper kit, cut them out and using gel medium stuck them to the page.
I must say I wouldn't normally use these embellishment but on this type of page I feel I can use them.

I also used some ripped up doiley, also from a past JAP kit and stuck that down as well with gel medium.

Last but not least I took a ombre wordfetti title and glued that to my page.

 What do you think?
