"Lit", by Amanda H

Welcome to June, D-lish fans!

Today I am sharing my page that was inspired by this month's inspiration board "Game on". My hubby and I took this stupid, I mean, cool photo of ourselves using Snapchat. We had escaped for 24 hours for some kid-free time and this was the photo we sent home to the kids! Like, "lit"! (not sure what that means, but that's what the kids said!)

Starting with white cardstock, I added the darker blue with some painted ink, then added some lighter blue and orange paste through a stencil - for the pluses and waves. Every month you get a stencil in your Just Add Paper kit but there is also a collection of stencils in store here. I finished the background with some green and orange splatters.

Oh - to remind you - here's what the mood board looks like, so you can see that I picked up all the colours on the board....

With my background complete, I was able to finish my page by layering lots of D-lish Scraps goodies. I was able to use lots of bits and pieces from previous Just Add Paper kits as well as the newer Limited Edition Mini Kits.

The flair, bow and journal spots came from kits. But you should check out the full range of Flair buttons and Journal-Its - you are sure to find something to suit!

I also wrote some journaling on a journal card and tucked it into a little paper bag, which I placed under the corner of the photo.

Under the photo I ripped and layered some orange tissue paper - this always adds interest! I cut some words from an Ombre Wordfetti (in blue) and used these on the page also. And I have loved using the vellum stars from the Limited Edition Mini Kits - so cool!

More wordfetti, vellum stars and journal-its on the side detail of the page. Also I included a paper flower in green (it is a cherry blossom taken from the Peach Twist JAP). I also always keep the twine from the packaging of kits and the orange twine you see on this page was from a past Just Add paper kit.

That's it - I'm lit!

Thanks for looking,
Amanda
