I'm kicking off my June shares with this layout I created recently.
It's a photo of my daughter from a few years ago on one of our afternoons to school pick-up ... back when her brother was the only one in school. On this day she insisted that teddy hitch a ride in her basket so of course I had to document that cute memory.
I used some Cocoa Vanilla Bohemian Dream papers for this layout and created a background using the packaging technique with some gelatos. After that dried I used a stencil and some white gesso to add the flowers. I think it creates a great subtle look and adds extra interest to the background.
For my main embellishment cluster I used one of the stunning Wild Roses as my feature. I teamed this with some cornflowers, flair and resin flowers. I also used some older paper flowers from my stash which I jazzed up by adding enamel dots to the centres.
My second cluster included another cornflower, flair and more resin and paper flowers. To finish the page I added a scattering of loose sequins and wood veneer hearts.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my project today.
Till next time,
