In honour of Mother's Day yesterday - I am sharing a recent LO of my Mum and I.
The base of this LO was created a while back when one day I just wanted to play with paint and texture paste and have fun. I loved it but didn't have any plans for it at all, so I sat it aside for a rainy day.
The other day I decided I wanted to do a LO of my Mum and I and I pulled out this photo of her and I and I thought I would use my premade base with it. I simply backed the photo with a D-lish doily and attached that to my LO. I then found some flowers that I liked with the LO and worked my cluster around them. (Note - The flowers HAD to be pink as that is my Mum's favourite colour.)
Whilst I was digging around I found my UNOPENED *gasp, splutter, cough, cough * "Love Like This" JAP kit. I am not sure how this one got by me unopened but I can tell you I let out a squeal when I found it because the colours in it were perfect for this LO! That gorgeous black and white bow comes from the kit, as well as the flair button and that gorgeous kiss/hug washi tape. You can get a variety of bows and flair buttons individually in the shop if you want too - so be sure to check them out.
I then decided to use the tag from the kit that comes pegged to it (seriously - the packaging of these kits is scrapable too) and used it to balance out the LO a bit.
I am pretty happy with how this LO turned out. So bright and fun and I think it suits my Mum and I to a tea. I know my Mum will like my LO - the fact that she is totally biased in her opinion of my work does not worry me in the least ;)
I hope all you Mum's had a great day yesterday and for those of you who are not Mum's, I hope you got to spend it with your Mum.
Til next time.
