Hi D-lish fans!
Today I am sharing my second layout for March. It's a soft girly colour palette of mint and pink with a photo of my two best friends and myself.
I started by making a background which happened long before the layout ever eventuated. I used an ink pad which I simply stamped onto a craft mat, watered down and then applied using the packaging technique all over the background. I also added some random stamping and finally a few flicks of the same watered down ink.
Here's a look at that background before I added anything to it:
Once I worked out my paper layers and photo placement, it was time to embellish. That's always the fun part for me ... I love my embellishments!
If you were lucky enough to grab an Advent Calendar before Christmas you may recognise the 'love' wood veneer I used for my title, I left this raw. I used a selection of paper flowers; D-lish has an extensive range of these so even if you can't find exactly the same ones instore, there's plenty to choose from! The biggest flower you see was actually white. I simply stamped off some more ink on my craft mat, watered it down and painted in onto the flower to get the matching shade of minty green. The flair was also from the advent calendar but there's loads of designs in the store. I finished off this cluster with a canvas bow, white leaves and resin pieces.
My other cluster included more of these elements and was built around the Charms Creation heart I had in my stash which matched perfectly. I also added a polka dot date tab.
I hope you enjoyed today's share. I'll be back later in the month with another.
