"Dream" by Anthea

Hi all.
Hope you are all well.
Today I am sharing with you a very simple LO I did of my daughter at Artvo recently.
My daughter adores all things unicorns, and I adore this photo of her with a unicorn so I decided I would try scrapping it.
I knew that I wanted the photo to be the main element on this page so I kept my other elements on this page very, very simple and used minimal colour to accent but not overwhelm the page.
Firstly I randomly smeared some different colour texture pastes though one of my favourite D-lish stencils.  (I think this was the first one I purchase and I NEVER get sick of it. )
I then placed all my other embellishments.  I had originally planned on using only the Totally Teal mini kit that D-lish just recently released, however I found that too much colour was washing away the photo so I ended up only using the creative cut and one of the butterflies from it and I found other, whiter supplies, to balance it all out.
I then added some white paper flowers and a fabric flower for good measure,  and a few white resin butterflies, from a previous JAP kit, up the side of the page. There are lots of butterflies to choose from here, and I know there are some in the clearance  section too.   I did try adding more stuff at this point, but just could not make anything look right and decided in this LO, the 'less is more' approach worked better.
To finish, I added a simple title and then distressed and sewed around the edges -  this added little bit more texture without overpowering the page.
I hope you like my LO and that once again it inspires you to create a simple LO of your own.  If you do create something - I would love for you to share it on the Scrap Suite
If you haven't already seen the Limited edition mini-kits, be sure to check them out.  There are 4 gorgeous colours; Totally Teal, Blissful Blush, Luscious Lemon and Peach Passion and each one of them is gorgeous and great value.
Till next time.
Take care and hugs from me.
