GoodBye D-lish | Michelle Stokes

Hello Scrappy Friends, It's Michelle back here today with my newest creation for D-lish Scraps. Now you may already be able to guess where this post it going after reading the title...

After 5 wonderful years here on multiple different teams, I've decided it's time to say farewell. Sadly this will be the last time you will see me on the D-lish blog, but I will still be a semi regular poster within the Scrap Suite group. I'm so very thank for the time I've spent here and will miss posting regularly here to inspire you all.  Who would have thought roughly 5 years ago when Amanda offered me my very first DT gig as part of the Autumn Creative team, that I would still be here HA It's been so much fun!

For this post today, I thought I would create something special with a few of my favourite and most used D-lish products, and include a walk down memory lane by scrapping all my DT badges (which now feels a little weird after seeing multiple versions of my face lol)

I started this wonderful layout using pieces of a cut file I had left on my desk from previous layouts and backed all the stars using pretty papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studio. I then arranged the photos top and bottom of the layout, and tucked in a few pretty embellishments using my favourite and well used items from the D-lish Store. Lastly I created a title using my much loved puffy alpha stickers and some typed journalling.

Here's a few close ups...

Above the photos at the top of the layout I've added a circle journal it, wordfetti, flair button, punchinella, Little Birdie flowers, pastel petal and some star shaped creative cuts.

Tucked into the photos at the bottom of the layout I've repeated similar colours and items as the top cluster using another circle journal it, ombre wordfetti, pastel petal (my most used and definitely most favourite flower of all time) punchinella, creative cuts and little birdie flowers.

Once everything was complete I added my usual gold splatters and called it done.

Well thats all from me, but before I go I'd like to say a big Thank you to all the D-lish followers for all your love and kind words during my time here. It's all very much appreciated. I will try my best to continue sharing things made with D-lish products within the Scrap Suite, or via Instagram using the #dlishscraps tag.

Next I'd like to send another big Thank you to all my fellow DT members, both past and present, for all your wonderful words of encouragement and regular dose of inspiration throughout my time here. We've all been through ups and downs on this creative journey, and the support and understanding we've all had for each other has been perfect.

Lastly a MASSIVE thank you to Amanda aka Boss Lady, for taking a chance on a fresh newbie all those years ago, for your ongoing support and continuing to cheer me on from behind the screen. Words cannot really express how thankful I really am for my time here, it's been nothing short of amazing!

Until I see you all again, Happy Scrapping!

Boys Rule | by Nicolee Cable

It is with a great sense of sadness that after 18 months on the D-lish design team I share my final layout for D-lish Scraps. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time showcasing the amazing D-lish products and want to thank Amanda for having me on the team.

For my final layout, I have chosen to go out with a topic that is very close to my heart - BOYS!
This layout is about my youngest young man, playing his heart out for basketball last year.  I thought it was very appropriate to use the Just Add Paper (JAP) kit 'Boys Rule' for this layout.

I really hope you're snatching up these JAP kits as they really are all you need for one, two or even three layouts...and all you need to do is 'just add paper'!  Did you know you can subscribe and you'll never miss out on receiving these kits in the mail again! They are such bargains and full of fun and cool products, that they fly out the door on release night, so I find that being a subscriber is the perfect way to go!

I have used the speech bubbles as frames for multiple photos.

I've cut the bag along one side and then opened it up as the foundation for the layout.
I've seperated the journal strips and laid them under the title.

Instead of cutting them into strips, I've used the blue mini journal strips as backing for one of the wooden stars and even made a shaker star out of one of them - now that's an oldie-but a goodie!

The rest was easy, placing the other JAP embellishments around the page....and voila, my 'Boys Rule' and final layout for D-lish is complete.

I hope I have inspired you over the course of my DT term, as I know I have thoroughly enjoyed being on this amazing team and will continue to follow you all with great interest.

Take care, happy scrapping and all my love.
I hope your Easter weekend is restful and relaxing.

‘You Colour My World’ by Amy

Hello there! You may have heard of Snapchat, the social mobile app that allows users to capture videos and pictures.

The photo here was captured from my sister’s phone – my son was not too happy about it, but knowing him and his patience he agreed to be photographed providing there were ‘no bunny ears!’ 😊

I wanted to keep this page simple. I have used various patterned papers – the layers behind my photos mostly consist of circles.

To give variety I used the D-Lish Scraps Stencil Scattered Stars with ColourBlast ‘Bling’ Texture Paste.
I have used a wood veneer title from the ‘Over The Rainbow’ JAP kit. The words ‘my boy’ were trimmed down from the Journal It’s Collection, in the ‘Wordfetti’ category.

Pictured here, I have used D-Lish Dots, a paper doily in the gold, and a bow.

In this gorgeous cluster, amongst the die-cut leaves and flowers, I used a variety of D-Lish goodies from the store.

I am happy with myself for how this page worked out. It’s nice, to be able to do pretty!

Thank you for stopping by!

Amy

"Smile" by Jasmine Shea

Hello hello.

I hope you are well and having a great day.

The page I am sharing with you today is a photo of my Mum and Sister back in 2011.
I have previously scrapped this photo but doing it again created totally different feelings as my mum has since passed away.
I think I had a smile on my face the whole time I was creating my page but also with a tear in my eye. Just seeing her laughing with my sister warmed my heart but knowing I can never take another photo like this again saddened me at the same time.
Amazing what an emotional rollercoaster we can travel on in our crazy world of scrapbooking.
Always a reminder of why we love this art so much.

Most of the D-lish embellishments I have used came from the Totally Teal and Luscious Lemon Mini Kits which are still available so if you haven't already bought one, make sure you jump in quickly.  They are such good value for money at only $5 each. I still have enough left over for at least 2 more pages.

I have also used some Resin Flowers, Sequins and a Fabric Bloom.

Well that's it for me for today.
Happy Scrapping.
Look forward to sharing another page with you soon.

#familyfun | by Anthea

You know how sometimes you do a LO with no clear vision of where it is going to go and where almost everything goes wrong, but somehow it comes together OK?  This was one of those LOs!

I have had this photo for a while now, and whilst the actual family game of basketball was very spontaneous - this shot was not.  I wanted a photo of us ALL playing together and the only way that could happen was to set up the camera on the rubbish bin and set the timer.  The rest is staged (just in case you couldn't tell) to make it look like we were playing for real....which we were....but....Oh dear...I hope you understand.  ;)

Seriously, this photo was really quite blah and devoid of much colour at all. (Thanks Matthew for wearing red!)  I spread some blue texture paste all over the page, this was fairly old and didn't quite spread the way I wanted - so I 'grunged' it up even more and put splats of glimmer mist everywhere.  A big dollop fell out on my page as I was dripping 'nicely' so I just went with even more crazy with it.  I then went a little crazy with my stamps and once this was done, decided this would be my base.

I then placed my matted photo in the middle of the LO and went a little wild with embellishments.
Other than the title, background and paper EVERYTHING on this page is D-Lish.

I raided my past JAP kits for every bright coloured star I could find.  I found blue sequins stars, red and white striped enamel stars, red and white fabric checkered stars and little red resin stars.  I am not sure any of these are available in the shop currently or individually, but I have linked through to other similar items that could be used in place of these.

I then used the last of my favourite blue glitter dots and randomly placed a piece of string that came wrapped around a previous JAP kit at the back of the photo.  I then found paint chip tab which suits the LO perfectly and added that and finished it all off with a grungy D-lish flair and a hand drawn border.

Here are some close ups of the LO.

I am loving the red and blue with a tiny touch of yellow in this LO and I love that the LO mirrors the crazy fun we were having together.

Thanks for looking at my LO.

Hope you have a great day.

Till next time
Hugs from moi

Adore You | Amanda Lawrence

Hello!

Today I am here to share my final layout for March. This one is a sweet selfie I took of my girl and I on Christmas Day. I chose to use a monochromatic palette of peach for this one with a touch of white.

The layout began with the cutfile heart I used for the background. I simply handstitched around the edge to make it stand out.

The stunning lace butterfly was one of the first embellishments I picked for this layout so I built my cluster around that. I used; a swan rose, forget-me-nots, roses, flair, resin and enamel dots for this cluster.

The smaller cluster had some more paper flowers, resin and enamel dots to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Fly High, by Amanda H

Hi again,

Here is my final page share for March! And I love a good white, lime and blue colour scheme which what I went with today!

I started with white cardstock, black cardstock and some patterned paper.

I wanted to create some lime elements, so I used Colour Artist Inks to colour Creative Cuts and a Lace Doily.

Then I finished the page with a few key lime and blue D-lish Scraps embellishments.

In this cluster you can see the Creative Cuts - a chevron and leaves. Also added a paper leaf, paper flower, enamel hearts and a resin star.

In this cluster, you can see more of the same flower, star and heart elements, but also a Journal It circle and flair.

And I love these handy little date journal its that come in kits! Perfect little bits to add to pages!

What is one of your favourite colour combos??

Thanks for looking,
Amanda

You and Me | by Nicolee Cable

Good morning!
I hope you've been getting busy with the CyberCrop challenges this month at

Today I'm showing you the challenge I've put out there and really hope you'll give it a go.

My challenge is for you to take inspiration from an outfit that you wear (or it could be a favourite outfit of someone elses!)

Here is my layout (please excuse the reflecting photo of my gorgeous sister and hubby)...

...and here is the outfit that inspired it...

These are the elements of my fave outfit that I wanted to replicate on paper:

jeans (texture)
rose gold
navy and floral
tassel
and leather

Now you'll notice that my outfit is heavily navy and blue jeans - but my layout is a lot brighter and tan coloured.  While I have used navy in my layout, I have focused a lot on the denim texture instead, using the hessian background paper.  Isn't this cute denim bow just perfect as well!
I have fussy-cut flowers as well as using paperflowers in the embellishments.
I've used a swede coloured tassel to mirror my earrings and included a rose-gold banner which echos my rose-gold jewellery.

I found I didn't have the right coloured flower for this layout so I took a white embossed daisie and painted it with navy ink.  Perfect colour match!

So here is a list of products from the D-lish Scraps store used for this really fun layout:

'You & Me' Creative Cuts title
striped paper bag (from previous JAP kit)

I'm really looking forward to seeing the wonderful layouts you create by inspiring yourself with a favourite outfit.
Please join us over on The Scrap Suite and play along!

Take care and until next time
Nicolee xx

'Together' by Mal

Hi all,

Have you been scrapping?
Have you seen the Cybercrop challenges?
Have you done my CC challenge?

HEARTS AND STARS!!!!
What do you think?

I love hearts and stars. And flowers. And bows.
Here I took a scattered stars stencil and used both the positive and negative of it.

I love raw elements on my page.
This time I took a raw chipboard frame from a while ago and a raw wood veneer title and stapled them down.
So much chipboard at D-lish, check it out all here.

Then I took an assortment of flowers, paper and material all in pink and different sizes and scattered them around my page.

I also took a pick-n-place bow in baby pink just tucked under my large flower. How cute is that bow!!???

Lastly I took more raw wood veneer stars with hearts and some pink hearts, 3 of course, which were in a past Just Add Paper Kit.

Lastly I placed 3 small enamel dots around my page.

So what do you think?

I'd love to see your creations over at The Scrap Suite

Happy scrapping....Mal xxx
