Happy Valentine's Day to you all. I hope that you are all being spoilt by your loved ones. I had full plans of doing a lovely dovey LO of my hubby and I, but I saw this photo and decided that this is the one I was going to scrap with today.
I started off with paint through the D-lish number stencil over another circle stencil - I am guessing I should have had the smaller stencil closer to the page than the big circle as the paint went everywhere! I decided to keep going anyway as I still liked the effect. While my paint brush was wet, I painted my die cut and splatter bits of paint everywhere.
I then stuck down bits and pieces from my D-lish stash. I have enamel stickers and faceted enamel dots. I also cut up a journal sheet from the Christmas package from last year.
I then did the unthinkable....I smudged my paint - there was no covering it easily. I tried a whole bunch of things, but everything looked completely out of place so I grabbed my washi tapes and went around the whole of my page with it.
I am still in two minds as to if I like it or not - but it certainly looks better than the big smudge of paint it is covering. (well not quite covering - because if you look closely you can still see it.)
I then added a piece of wire around the photo to highlight it. I just stuck it on in a kind of random fashion. You can be more precise if you like, but I like messy. I don't have one of those long staplers, so I just staple onto the carpet and then turn my LO up the other way and push the ends in manually. It works a treat for me. :)
Then, to finish the whole LO off I put on my big flower from D-lish. I adore this flower so much and knew that it would really make the yellow and orange pop. This actually comes from the clearance section and is a single flower from a shabby chiffon rose trim.
All in all I am pretty happy with my LO. I hope you enjoy it too.
I would especially like to know what you do to cover your mistakes? Or do you just start again? I am constantly making mistakes - usually because I am too impatient to wait for my LO to dry - I can use all the tips I can get.
Till next time
Take care
Hugs
