Well hello there. I hope you're enjoying
this months Design Teams layouts based on this months inspiration board?
I have another one for you.
This one was again relatively quick to put together as I fished this pre-made background out of my stash. When you have some time and feel the creative inclimation, it pays to do up some backgrounds and have them dry, ready to go - you never know when you'll use them.
For this layout, I really piled on the layers. I had background layers and then placed the embellishments on top of that.
The yellow is tissue paper from an old JAP kit that I screwed up, ripped up and just spread out over the pink paint.
Then I layered some paper and a black doilie and then the embellishments.
I'm really happy with how the Creative Cuts flowers turned out. I spread some ink on the mat and then swiped the flowers through it, very briefly as I didn't want to cover the flower in colour entirely. This gave it a mottled and random effect. I then added some extra ink in some spots to deepen the colour.
finally, lots of ink and paint splatters to finish it off!
