Hello, it’s Amy here, for the last blog post for January.
I hope you managed to squeeze in some crafty time during your summer break. I have created this ‘Summer’ layout for this month’s Cybercrop challenge
.
This photo was captured on the coast of Victoria, in Lorne.
I have used a combination of Kaisercraft beach-themed
patterned paper. I then roughly painted some Heavy White Gesso
on the paper to create a whitewash effect.
Behind my photo, the layers consisted
of Punchinella and horizontal-striped bags from the store. I also used some
medical gauze. Around the sea shells from my stash I have used some coloured wire and a paper flower from the Little Birdie collection. The enamel shaped heart was also added here for a bit of colour and dimension.
I used the die cut
embellishment from a past JAP kit. I inked it with some of the ColourBlast
inks.
The wood veneer title ‘Summer’ was perfect for this page. I
left it raw, as it was fitting for my theme.
Behind the title, I have used (from the store): coloured wire, Little Birdie flowers in the blue and white and Punchinella.
On the left-hand side, as pictured, I tore a strip of
patterned paper then placed another paper flower from the Little Birdie collection. I adore these paper flowers – gorgeous! …and addictive!
As a final touch, I placed an enamel heart here. The blue
was perfect to coordinate with my nautical theme.
Thank you for stopping by!
I do look forward to seeing your takes on this summer-themed
challenge.
Ciao, Amy
