Anthea here yet again. Hope you are all doing well? I have just returned from a 8 day cruise to the South Pacific. It was fun, brilliant, relaxing and exhausting all at the same time. The thought of scrapping right now is exhausting, so today I am sharing with you a LO I did at the last retreat which is simple, but pretty and fun all at the same time.
The colours for this LO were chosen to match the colours in the photo (a selfie of my gal and I) - the pinks and yellows make for a really pretty soft look. Firstly I applied some yellow texture paste through some stencils - the one I used here was not a D-lish one - but D-lish have similar ones here. I then laid a piece of paper right down the middle of the page and softened it with some pretty vellum that I had on hand and sewed down the sides and around the edges of all of my papers.
I then placed a big (and gorgeous) D-lish doily right at the back of my photo to make it pop.
I then just cut up some lace butterflies and scattered a few around the page with a few little D-lish dots and resin dots from past JAP kits. D-lish has so many colours of these dots so you can always be fairly sure you will find something to suit your LO.
When this was done - I simply picked some coral puffy alpha stickers and stuck them down. I wanted to soften them a bit too - so I sewed right through the middle of them. The fact that they are so soft and fluffy makes them perfect for this kind of treatment.
I love how simple this LO is but how pretty it is at the same time. Yet again - I hope you like my LO and hope I have inspired you in at least some small way.
Till next time,
