I wanted to take the opportunity to create a romantic collage. At the same time, working with the classic colour combo of red, black and pastel pink.
For the background, I used black cardstock as a base. I have used patterned paper to make a grid-like format. The polka dot was perfect to use here. After I adhered the patterned paper down, I outlined the polka dot paper with a ruler using a white journal marker. Then it was time to embellish!
These love hearts here were hand drawn with the help of the cool ‘heart’ stencil from the ‘Hello Sugar’ kit. This is one gorgeous and sweet kit, filled with beautiful morsels.
On the right-hand corner of the grid, I have placed a white paper doily behind the patterned paper with a flair button placed on top.
Both the Washi tape and the pink pearls were from a past ‘Just Add Paper’ (JAP) kit.
In this cluster here, I wanted to create a confetti-shaker type embellishment. To create this, I used the gorgeous heart wood veneer frame from the ‘Hello Sugar’ kit. However, if you look in the store, there are other wood veneer shapes that you can use to your liking. I have placed some sequins from the same kit and covered it with an acetate sheet. I have placed a lace butterfly with a polka dot bow and pearl, from the store.
Finally, inside this frame, I have used a handmade heart from Charms Creations.
The title ‘Love’ is a hand die cut.
Then the page is now complete!
