Hope your lives aren't too crazy right now. I love that despite the craziness there's a certain 'vibe' in the air at this time of year ... love it!
Onto my share for today, this is on older picture I've had waiting to be scrapped for a while, I just could never seem to find the right papers to do it justice. I stumbled upon these gorgeous florals one day and knew that they'd be perfect!
I have to be honest, I really struggled with the foundation of this page and pulling the design together. Although the floral was lovely, it was very 'busy' and I didn't want it to take over. I had some stunning teal vellum in my stash and wanted to use it to layer under my photo. The see through nature of it wasn't helping frame out my photo so I ended up backing it on some plain white cardstock and hand stitching around the edge. It did the trick perfectly!
I used a journal round from a past 'Just Add Paper' kit to layer my journalling on and then added some paper flowers, resin bow and an enamel heart. The cardstock leaves were cut on my cameo but you can find very similar paper leaves in the creative cuts section. I coloured these up with some Colour Blast Shimmer Cubes and they look amazing. The teal flower was originally white but I coloured these also as I couldn't find anything in my stash that was the right shade.
Another cluster with some repeated elements, I also added a resin flower, flair and a journal ticket cut it half. The other piece was used in my other cluster.
A stunning lace doiley layered under the photo really softens the whole feel. Then my final cluster included my title, paper flowers, resin flower, flair, more cuts and another enamel heart.
I'm glad I persisted with this layout. It wasn't coming together as I wanted initially but with a little experimenting I achieved a result I'm really happy with.
Till next time,
