Epic Ice Cream Treat | Amanda Lawrence

Wow .... December?!?! How did that happen?
This year has flown by so fast and now that we're at the pointy end it's all systems go! End of year everything and so much going on it's hard to keep up. I haven't had a chance to scrap a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g since October so I'm really looking forward to taking some time off over the holidays.

Luckily I have a stockpile of layouts I made on my last retreat so today's share is another one created that weekend.

It documents one of our school holidays adventures and is called 'Epic Ice Cream Treat'

We made a visit to Mister Fitz Ice Cream Shop here in Brisbane. Seriously THE BEST ice cream ever! If you're ever in the area you should definitely try it, though I don't recommend eating anything before hand lol

I had some Cocoa Vanilla papers that were the perfect colours to go with this photo. I then pulled a stash of embellies to match and got creating. I did a little watercolour smooshing {technical term} for the background before trimming down the card and hand stitching it to the striped paper. I made sure to hollow out the centre so I had some to use within my layout.

My main cluster with my title included some layered strips of patterned paper, a Swan Rose, Cherry Blossom, Forget-Me-Not, white leaves, flair, resin flower and some wood veneer hearts.

I layered my strip journalling onto a Pastel Heart round and then added some more pieces to embellish. I used some more paper flowers, another flair, resin bow and resin flower.

I layered my photo onto a lace doiley and used a polka dot date tab under the top edge. This final cluster was made with a mix of pieces used previously.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my project share for today. I have a few more including a cybercrop challenge lined up for later in the month.
