Christmas gifts | by Nicolee Cable

Hey there, well Christmas is over and the new year is nearly here!! Can you believe it!!
I hope you've had a wonderful time with the people you love.

We didn't go home for Christmas this year but spent it with very dear new friends.  I made these individual frames for them and they were a real hit.
The frames were 9x9 and as a shadow box, the actual layout area was quite a bit smaller.
It was fun to do smaller layouts and they came together very quickly.

I just gathered some embellishments in the colour scheme and theme that I felt suited them best and the rest is what you see below.

Along with patterned paper, paper stickers, word stickers and other embellishments, here is a list of the D-lish embellishments that I used:

a vast array of paper flowers
sequins (from various old JAP kits)
mini resin glitter love hearts

I hope you try something new and different with your creating this holiday season.

Happy New Year
all the best

Snapshots by Mal

Hi all,

How was your Christmas? Did you get to scrap or even better did you get some scrappy goodies from Santa?

I scrapped a bit, just a quick page...what do you think?

I only had a short window of opportunity so I quickly put this page together. The background is the negative of a stencil and then I quickly added some D-lish embies to my page and I'm done.

First was some punchinella that I ripped and placed under my photo.

Then I used the string from the Hello Sugar JAP kit, sold out now but all the bits are available here .

You know I love flowers at the moment, and these Sakura flowers from D-lish are my fav. They are big and feel like a cross between felt and rubber...sooo cool.

Last a quick title Sanpshots cut from the Wordfetti range in blue.

And that's it...what do you think?

Happy scrapping...Mal xxx

‘Ho Ho Ho!’ by Amy C

Happy Christmas everyone!

I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas with your family friends.
I am just popping in today to share with you, a Christmas page, that is not using the traditional Christmas colours.

I have been waiting to scrap this photo of Samuel. It was captured a few Christmas’s ago outside the famous Myer Christmas window display.

Let’s start with the patterned paper. I have used the Cocoa Vanilla collection.

As you can see here, I have tucked one of the paper lace doilies behind photo.
After I prepared and adhered my photo I used a D-Lish Scraps 5” x 5” stencil in both starts and dots and applied Sienna ColourBlast texture paste to the corners of the medium square.

So here, in this cluster, I used a wooden star from my stash. If you look in the shop, there are wood veneer mixed star value packs – divine goodies!
The candy twine was used to wrap the JAP – Seriously Rad kit. It’s perfect to go with the Christmas theme. I have also used D-Lish Dots placed randomly around. I roughly trimmed a piece of the Punchinella, then placed a flair button on top.

Over the bottom left hand corner, as you can see, I have created a little cluster on top of a wooden star from my supplies at home. If you look at the D-Lish Scraps store, you will see there is an abundant supply of wood veneers to choose from.
The red paper flower is form a past JAP kit. You will also find a great variety of paper flowers in the store.
Scattered around the red flower, the paper flowers are from the Little Birdie range: I love these … so much to choose from.

Finally, I placed my die-cut title on top of Washi tape from a past JAP kit.

The D-Lish Scraps kits are full of amazing little morsels, that provide for open-ended creativity! They can vary from Washi tape, stencils, flair buttons, and paper doilies to wooden veneers. All great for card-making, layouts, journalling and even gifts for your dear friends.

For now, I do wish you all a happy and safe summer break!

Ciao for now, Amy

"8" by Jasmine Shea

Ho Ho Ho!
Merry Christmas to you!
I wonder what you are getting up to today!
I hope it involves lots of love, joy and pressies!

For me, well it will be an early start seeing what Santa left under the tree, then off to my
Mother-In-Laws for lunch and back to our house for dinner.
I am sure it will be a fun and relaxing day full of good food and family.

If you are looking for some extra challenges and you haven't seen our latest D-lish Scraps Cybercrop, then you are in for a treat with 4 new challenges.

This was my challenge for you:

I love that the title really pops on the page, it's simple and tells us exactly what the page was to twins turning 8.
We don't always need a long or large title to tell the story.

The other highlights on the page of course are lots of goodness from D-lish Scraps.

They include

Enjoy the festive season and I will see you again in 2018.

"Lovely together" by Anthea

OOOH - it is Christmas Eve!  If you are here looking at this, thank you for taking time out of what is probably a very busy day to check out my layout that I recently created for this month's cybercrop.
This layout features my husband and his older sister, who incidentally had her birthday yesterday (- or today if you go by Canada time). It was taken on one of our last visits to see my hubby's family.  They live in Canada so we really don't get to see them as much as we would like.  This photo has always been on my 'to scrap' list but because of the colours in it I never really knew how to scrap it.  I tried turning the photo black and white but it just wasn't working for me.  In the end I just ignored the red cap and went with the colour in my hubby's shirt.

I firstly used a D-lish stencil and roughly smothered on some texture paste.  This particular stencil is the pattern quartet - I find it is really useful for small areas and you get extra value for your dollar as there is 4 patterns on it.
I then just lay bits and pieces till the layout felt right.  I seriously had no plans before I started this layout  - I just knew that I wanted to scrap this photo.
I have added so many D-lish goodies on this LO I am not really sure where to start.  I have a flair, flowers, bitty bow clip, pick 'n' place bow,  cabochons, glittered enamel dots, a suede tassel and cotton tassel, a resin flower, and a few old kit bits from previous JAP kits, including that gorgeous triangle washi tape from the 'Over the Rainbow' kit.

Well that is it for today - thanks again for looking. Happy birthday to my darling sister-in-law - we wish we could be there!
To the rest of you - I hope that you give my challenge a go - you can find it here in the Scrap Suite
I hope you all have a beautiful Christmas (or whatever it is that you celebrate) and that you enjoy many laughs with family and friends and create many happy memories.
Till next year
Take care

8 Today | Amanda Lawrence

Today I'm sharing a close up look at my layout, which was the sample for my December Cybercrop challenge, which is happening now over in The Scrap Suite.

My challenge is called 'Stitched Up' and is to use machine or hand stitching on your project. You all know how much I loooove my hand stitching so it seemed appropriate.

I cut out the number '8' and all the circles on my cameo. These exact cuts aren't in store but you could achieve the same look with the 'bubbles' creative cuts we have available. I wanted the number to pop so I hand stitched around the outer edge of it. I also stitched around the outer edge of the cardstock to create a frame.

Once I'd inlaid all the circles with patterned paper it didn't need much in the way of embellishments to finish it off. I simply added a lace doiley, some wood veneer and flair. I also added a few little 'x' stitches here and there to anchor all my pieces together.

I hope to see your entry for the 'Stitched Up' challenge soon. You can find all the details you need to enter over in our facebook group, The Scrap Suite.

Happy creating,
Amanda x

#us, by Amanda H.

Hi again..

Here is my last page share for 2017! WOW! That's a crazy thought!

I have created this page of myself with two other D-lish Scraps girls - boss lady aka Amanda L and Social media co-ordinator Michelle S. Love these girls!

This page is my example for the current challenge at The Scrap Suite: To use leaves BUT no flowers. It was surprisely harder than I thought! I kept grabbing for a flower! No flowers allowed!

Here is the challenge:

My idea for this challenge came when Amanda L recently re-stocked the paper leaves in store. I bought a few packs of each as I love leaves in clusters!

I started with white cardstock and added a bit of colour with some sprays and splatters and some washi tape.

I have a great assortment of washi tape, thanks to my monthly Just Add Paper kits!

Behind the photos, I layered a paper lace doily and cut a few Journal its in half, to use throughout the layout.

Here are the close ups:

In this cluster you can see:
* Journal Its ( inc: basic journal spot)
* Different paper leaves
* Sequin bow
* Faceted D-lish dots
* Resin Polka Dot buttons
* Stamen
* Wood veneer leaf
* Enamel heart
* Striped resin heart from a past Just Add Paper kit

A smaller cluster on the other side of the photo, with more repeated elements, layered on the Journal it:
* Different paper leaves
* Faceted D-lish dots
* Resin Polka Dot buttons
* Stamen

I created this collage of Journal its, washi tape and leaves to house the title down the left side of the page. Again I included:
* different paper leaves
* Faceted D-lish dots
* Resin Polka Dot buttons
* Stamen
* Wood veneer leaf
* Striped resin heart from a past Just Add Paper kit

You can also see I pulled some loose threads from a black strip of hessian (from a previous JAP kit) to stick into the clusters.

For the title I used the "#us" Creative Cut from the Frames and hashtags set. I painted it green and used a thin black pen to outline the letters.

Thanks for all of your support of everything D-lish this year! So lucky to be here and to share my creations each month! See you in 2018.

BSHS | by Nicolee Cable

hello hello hello...
I hope your Christmas plans are shaping up well......I'm not on holidays yet but I think most things are ready for our big day!

I'd like to share this layout of our youngest son, celebrating a win with his school basketball team last season. I love this photo that a friend captured, he's the one with the cap on and such joy on his face - how could I NOT scrap this memory!!

I often struggle with primary colours but I think I've managed to do this one justice by anchoring it with a gray/charcoal water colour background. It grounds it and gives a soft depth.

I've ripped up a little bag into pieces and just layered it randomly across the page.
I hand cut (yes, it's not perfect!!) the title BSHS (his school) and used it as a foundational layout feature, kind of burying it with the background elements, even though it's the title.
I then ripped up a couple of pieces of washi tape and added to the sides.
I then painted the Creative Cuts bubbles a beautiful water colour blue.

I've cut some Kinder Kreations aerobars in half and positioned them above and below the photo.
I found some matching mini pom-pom wool and glued it on to the hexagon frame, just for something different.

 I then added the resin stars, sequin stars and other embellishment clusters on the layout.

Here is a list of the D-lish embellishments used:

washi tape (from an old JAP kit)
sequin stars (from an old JAP kit)
journal its tab (from an old JAP kit)

I hope you are inspired to create during the holidays and have some time to do so.  I would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and I'm looking forward to joining you in the new year!
Please note the store closure dates as Amanda has a well deserved break over this holiday period.  I'm sure 2018 is going to be a wonderful year for D-lish and its fans, so stay tuned.

All my love
Nicolee xxx
