"Sweet As Candy" by Julianne McKenna

Hello fellow crafters! It's Julianne joining you today.
So, has anyone here got a flower addiction? Come on, I know I'm not the only one.
Fortunately, the Little Birdie flowers come colour and size co-ordinated, so it's makes it easy to create flower laden layouts like the one I am sharing with you today.

Water colour backgrounds are all the rage at the moment, and I'm loving it because flowers work so well with water colours, (and white flowers can even be coloured with water colour paints). So, one pink water colour background, teamed with lots of pink Little Birdie flowers, makes me one very happy crafter. Did I mention the Little Birdie flowers also come in mint and white? Simply divine!!!

I used pale pink coloured doilies, and a few stamps, to create my background. To add a splash of bright colour to the layout, I painted wood veneer hearts with hot ink ink, and then coated them with Dimensional Magic for a little shine and dimension.

I used a stencil from the July Primrose Lane Just Add Paper Kit to create the "X" and "O"s down the side of the page. I then added jewelled embellishments to create a new "O".

I have also added a puffy heart embellishment from a past Just Add Paper Kit, and a wood veneer bow, topped with a Little Birdie flower, to work as a focal point.

It's easy to create one of a kind title with Creative Cuts die cuts. I simply coloured the word with hot pink ink, and coated it with pink glitter. I raised the word with 3D foam tape to create a little dimension and depth.

Now, I don't know about you, but I think it's time for me to go shopping for more flowers to add to my collection. Thanks for stopping by and joining me - I hope you enjoyed my project!
