"Crazy About You" by Anthea

Hi all.

Last time I saw you I was at a scrappy retreat having a ball.  Now I am home and I have a bad case of Imissretreatitis.  It is OK - don't panic!  I am self treating by scrapping a little more than I normally would which is easing me back into 'normal' life.

Today I am sharing with you one of my favourite LOs that I did while at retreat.

I had a lot of fun with this LO.  It was all based around that 'crazy about you' paper.  I knew that I wanted to stray away from my usual white LO because I was trying to push myself out of my comfort zone.  I also knew that I wanted to use the D-lish hugs and kisses stencil that came in one of the most recent JAP kits. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.  Firstly I started with some stamping and then I layered my texture paste on.  As you can see, I am not precise about how I put it on. In my mind it blends better, but the choice is totally up to you. I also used another D-lish stencil to add a few texture paste crosses.

I then messed up a piece of gauze and layered that with a few pieces of thread that I just let fall where they fell.  Again, I am not precise about this step. I find that the more precise I am the more it looks wrong.  I then just added some D-lish goodies to suit.  I have used a gorgeous D-lish daisy and a D-lish flair  from a past JAP kit as one of my main accents.

I love all things resin and decided this little flower was gorgeous just off to the side.  (Note you can see the cross stencil pretty well in this shot).

I was finding the LO a little blah...so I added the strips of paper along the side.  I was not precise in my sewing - in fact my sewing nearly completely killed this LO, but somehow I saved it in the end.  (That is a story for another day).

I then layered this little bow, that I somehow didn't even know I had, on top of some more gauze and thread.  I think it and the big pink pearl are perfect for this LO and they finish it off beautifully.

Well, once again.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you like my LO.

A note to everyone - check your JAP kits properly.  I seriously did not know I had that cute bow in my stash until retreat.

Till next time - take care.
Anthea
