'Scrap B***hes' by Tamara Buckler

Hi All,

I'm back again today to share with you another layout full of D-lish goodies. This time I went all grunge goddess to scrap these fun photos of my scrappy friend, Anita. I love the way this layout turned out!

I have had the 'Splats and Stains' stencil in my stash for a little while now, and I'm so happy I finally pulled it out. I knew I wanted the central horizontal layout of this page, and inking through the stencil with the coffee cup type stains gave a really good grounding for this. I then added more of the splats in the same fashion to the top left and bottom right corners for extra interest and balance. I used a few random stamps, and some random ink splatters in the same areas to add to this.

I love mixing Alphas in my titles and these D-lish Alphas in grey are so versatile, and they work so well when combined with others - I think this is due to their texture, height and font.

This embellishment cluster has to be one of my faves! Its a bit punk rock, grunge or even a bit rockabilly. That gingham bow is just to die for! I think I need 10 more of these in black! And that sequin heart from the July JAP kit, holy moley, its so funky! I've also added in here an arrow, a vellum star, some washi tape and a stripped heart from previous kits, some paper flowers, a star cabochon and one of the new resin glitter dots.

To finish off the page I added a Journal Spot, some more washi, another resin glitter dot and star cabochon.

Thanks for stopping by to look at my layout, and I hope it inspires you to get scrappy with your D-lish goodies this week!

Big Loves,
Tam xo

"Cool" by Rachel Dutko

Hi everyone!

Today I am sharing my take on this

Here's a look at the inspiration board-

I created a mixed media background, using acrylic paint, stamping and some Colour Blast colour paste through a 5x5 star stencil ( one of my favourite items in the D-lish shop!).

I've added some creative cuts star shapes. I've kept them white to contrast against the colourful background.

I have also added a sequin bow, minifetti word and
a flair button in a mini cluster.
I've balanced this cluster by adding a paint chip tab
at the top of the photos.

I've used the Kinder Kreations 'Squared' border chipboard
and heat embossed it for some extra texture.

I've used the 'cool' wood veneer piece, wood veneer star circles and lightning bolts, shoe charm, and flair button from the Retro Revival Just Add Paper kit.

I've finished off by scattering some pearl star cabochons.

You still have time to get your challenge entry in,
we would love to see what you create!

Thanks for looking

'Awesome' by Nicolee Cable

Hi lovelies!
Another week is upon us! Aaaahhh
I'm trying to ignore the people
that are saying that Christmas is only so many weeks away,
I'm not quite sure what they're saying cause I'm ignoring them
(fingers in ears - blah blah blah blah - I can't hear you!!).

Anyway, in amongst the passing of time, I've scrapped my
youngest son.  This photo is a bit of a treasure because he just
won't let me take photos of him - so this one he willingly posed for and I will
treasure it greatly.

I've been inspired by the colour palette in the latest
Just Add Paper (JAP) kit 'Off the Wall'.
Whilst it has very clean colours (blue, green and orange), I decided to grunge it up a little!

So here's my take on this colour palette.

I've used stencils, stamps and watercolour shimmer dust to make my grungy background.

...then I messed the journal tabs up, to match...

...I painted the Creative Cuts brick panels with watercolour shimmer dust and then positioned
them vertically, added strips of washi tape and pulled apart (until it
was nice and tangled) the twine to lay across the brick panels...

...I then cut the painted (and dusted with glass glitter) cogs in half
and randomly added them, along with the cutest
little cap and enamel dots...

...I then added other little embellishments from the JAP kit (the wooden chevrons)...

... and the 'awesome' title.  I played around with this a little, swiping it with ink
focusing heavier at the top and lighter at the bottom, then
writing on it in copper pen.  To finish it off I decided it
needed some good old fashioned dimensional magic,
kind of dripping down it...
I think it looks kinda cool!

Lastly, I finished it off with that cutest star button and the triangle enamel dot!

I hope you enjoyed this layout and feel inspired to pop on over
to the store to grab yourself some of the amazing embellishments
that Amanda has in stock.  Whilst I haven't used any
in this layout, there are some incredibly beautiful flowers
new to the store, so you'll have to buy some before they're all gone!

See you next time and make sure you
enjoy some creative you-time when you can!

"Cherish" by Julianne McKenna

Hello fellow crafters! It's Julianne here today, sharing a new layout filled with D-Lish goodies, and a new technique I've found for colouring white flowers. Actually, it's good for colouring lots of things, including leaves and laces. What is it? Watercolour paints!

Can you spot all the D-Lish goodies on this layout? Let's start with coloured paper doilies, faceted enamel dots, elegance flowers, cabbage roses, paper roses, leaves, chipboard title, washi tape, resin roses, and a 5x5 stencil

I've gone for a vintage feel with the chipboard. I've used old gold on all the chipboard pieces, including the ScrapFX chipboard title

The white resin rose has been painted with Prima metallic water colours. This has created a beautiful golden glimmer to the rose, and ties in with all the gold chipboard.

And I've added strips of the heart washi tape (from the Primrose Lane kit) for something a little quirky.

The coloured paper doilies make a nice backdrop for the chipboard clocks. And they add a little more colour to the layout instead of the usual white or cream.

And I've added extra texture to the background by using the 5x5 brick wall stencil. This is probably one of my all time favourite stencils because it is so versatile, and makes such a fantastic background to work with.

Have you played with the enamel dots yet? Did you know they come in a HUGE variety of colours and styles - including round enamel, glitter enamel, and faceted enamel. So what's your favourite?

The white leaves looked a little too stark on the layout, so a coating of Prima gold watercolour paint has softened the look.

I usually use mists and sprays to colour my flowers, but now I have a new favourite way of creating co-ordinated coloured flowers - Prima watercolour paints! What makes watercolour paints better for colouring flowers, is that you can create so many different shades and colours. It is much, much easier to match flowers and colours. And the results look fantastic too. Just look at that beautiful elegance flower - it once was white, but is now rosy red to match the cabbage roses

Thank-you for dropping by and joining me! And don't forget to follow D-lish Scraps on FACEBOOK so that you can stay up-to-date with all the latest events and store happenings.

'Enjoy the View' by Lauren Tomecek

Good morning fellow scrapbookers! Thanks for stopping by to check out my latest layout created using a while bunch of D-lish Scraps goodies. I hope it inspires you to create something too.

Starting at my main cluster, I jumped at the chance to use my brown tassel. I actually purchased a couple of packs of these to have a huge variety of colours to match my layouts. Little Birdie Flowers were recently re-stocked in the shop and you have to check these out! My small pink flowers and the tiny white ones with glitter accents are both Little Birdie Flowers. Wood veneer leaves have had a touch of glitter added along the vein. That beautiful big green flower is a Sakura Bloom, with a smaller green paper flower up the top. The burlap leaves are currently out of stock in the shop.

I had these puffy alphabet stickers sitting on my desk and realised they matched perfecting with the colour scheme of the layout. This is why I'm a messy scrapper, it helps me find the perfect accent/embellishment all the time. :)

This smaller embellishment cluster is very similar to the larger one, with the addition of a resin flower from the resin flower grab bag. I like getting these grab bags because of the variety I can find inside.

Thanks for stopping by, hope it inspired you today.

"Donut Day" by Gwen Wruck

Hi Creative Friends,

I hope you are all well!!  Gwen here today to share another layout with you. This one may have you all wondering why on earth I would scrap about doughnuts, but I say why not!! Miss C was making a huge deal about International Donut day, she had marked it in her calendar and was counting down the days so it was a big deal in our house!  She was not going to let it go until she got a doughnut on International Donut day!  AND of course, such an occasion MUST be scrapbooked!!  For those wondering, it is on the first Friday of June so go ahead and mark it in your calendar now :)

The idea for the design of this page started with a Crate Paper page from the Hello Love Collection from 2015.  I knew I wanted to fussy cut out a stack of the X and O elements from the sheet to make a background.  I started by staggering these in rows across my page.  Once I had these placed, I then went about punching with an edge punch some paper scraps from the same collection and layering them up on my background.  This design is in a way similar to another page I created with the same punched paper strips.  Not every page needs to be a new design or idea, sometimes it's great to scrap lift your own page and tweak it for something different.

Once I was happy with the background placement, I went about stitching it all down with my sewing machine.  Next, it was time to place my photo and photo mat, for this I've used a sheet of pattern paper and a piece of scrap and a paper doily. I then mounted it all on foam to help separate it from the background.

Next, it was time to add my title, for this I have used the Puffy Alphabet Stickers.  I just love how you can stitch these down; I've used grey here which picks up my photo and there is also a touch of grey in the pattern papers I have used.

I then went about creating 2 small clusters of embellishments.  One at the top of the page and the other in the bottom right-hand side of my photo.  These are not very detailed or layered, they were really just a few buttons and a paper flower from Little Birdie.  You can find the heart buttons here and the Jewelled Cabochons here.  With the paper layers going on in my background, I did want to keep my embellishments simple, it was really just some finishing touches I was adding.

Here you can see that I hand stitched the buttons on (after adding a very small amount of glue to hold them in place and the page was done!  I really love how it turned out and I hope next year, you celebrate International Donut Day, I'm pretty sure we will be!

Learning is AWESOME | Michelle Stokes

Hello Friends! Welcome back to the D-lish Blog where we share all things crafty and wonderful! It's Michelle back today with a new layout share featuring THIS months Just Add Paper kit - Off the Wall. Such a cool kit to work with, and even though its kind of a Boys kit, it still totally works with photos of Leila that are a little less girly.

A few months back Leila's class celebrated all things Alphabet, with the children all dressing as their favourite letter. Leila chose to go as the letter Z and kept telling everyone she was a Zebra HAHA (There may have been a very last minute late at night sewathon to create the T-shirt she wanted to wear lol)

I created the layout using 2 photos grouped together and slightly off centre, with the title to the right with a chunk of journalling underneath. I added 2 main clusters diagonally across the layout, and a smaller sprinkling of bits to finish off the design triangle. All pieces used on the layout come from the CURRENT Off the Wall Just add Paper kit

Heres a closer look at the kit and contents, along with the Inspiration board to match

Now a closer look at all the D-lish bits n bobs 💕💕💕

Everything I've used on the layout is from the KIT, with the exception to the new and AMAZING faceted Enamel dots. You can find them HERE - They're SO cool! That RAD flair is pretty awesome!

I loved these exclusive cut files! Such a great layering piece for someone who doesn't like to get too messy with backgrounds. Gives a slight texture to a page where its needed. I also added pieces of torn tissue paper, some of the green washi tape and some fun turquoise hessian under the photos.

Love LOVE loved this silver sparkly smiley face! Although I wasn't too impressed when I noticed I'd accidentally splattered it with Color Shine lol Happens all too often

I layered the face over some more tissue paper, washi tape, hessian and a piece of the Creative Cut. I tucked in the green polka dot star flair and added a button star and enamel dots to finish off the cluster.

I coated the entire "Awesome" veneer piece in silver glitter paste, then felt it needed an extra colour so I pained half with some delusions paint, then some more glitter paste over the top. I combined this with some white letter stickers from my stash to create the title, and drew around the white letters so that they stood out more

Lastly I added some handwritten journalling and a few too many splatters of black Color Shine around the layout and called it done.

Thats all for my share today, Thanks so much for stopping by!
Until Next time, Happy Scrapping
Michelle xx
