forevermore - by Nicolee Cable

Hi lovely D-lish followers.
Can you believe February is over?! Where did it go?

Well, I've been a little busy back at work and also creating. This post
is about one of my layouts where I wanted to show you a couple of different things.

I've used the very cute February 'Fresh Cuts' Just Add Paper (JAP) kit
(with a few little extras), which just screams summer, outdoors and beautiful fresh breezes!

Sometimes though I find that I have to use the elements
in the kits in different ways....and this is what I've come up with.

I've used a bitty bag to ground the photo
(they are wonderful for this) and cut up the journal cards to
use as features facing downwards rather than journalling on.

I've fashioned pip berry stems into
love hearts, a little one to the side and one that
goes directly over the photo.
As yet, I haven't dated this page (because the photo is of my brother
and I need to ask him when it was), but I'm quite happy with just
leaving the date journal blank and looking cute as is.

...I've also folded the doilie and stapled it down, instead
of just laying it flat, it's a cute feature.  I also had some of the pip berrys
come off the stem so I kept them and just had them poke out
from behind the photo.  I always keep all my little
off cuts, it pays to never throw anything away!

...and to some of you, I may have committed the unpardonable
sin - but I just couldn't make the wood veneer bike work on this
layout, so I cut it up! :)

Sorry boss-lady!

The bike basket made a very cute little shape,
 upside down underneath the photo!
I'm pretty happy with how cute this looks and now I have two
circle wood veneer embellishments that I
can use on another layout too .

Here is a list of all embellishments, from
the JAP kit and also extras used:

JAP kit (bitty bows, journal pack, flair, lace daisy trim, resin flowers,
veneer bicycle, cherry blossoms, washi tape, doilie, pip berry stem)
and a couple of my own extras.

Well, that's me done for another day and I hope I
have inspired you to:

1. visit the D-lish store (you'll love it)
2. buy JAP kits (you'll love them)
3. use embellishments in different, out-of-the-box ways (you'll love it)

Take care and enjoy the last day of February and summer.
Bring on Autumn is all I know! :)

Baby Frame gift idea | Michelle Stokes

Hi Everyone, Michelle here today with a new creative share. I've done something a little different using tonnes of my favourite flowers from the D-lish Shop, along with a mix of other bits and bobs.

Now I can't take credit for this idea as it's Inspired by another creative soul. I saw her post within a group on Facebook a few weeks back and just knew it was the perfect idea for a personalised gift for a work friend who has recently had a baby.

Using Silhouette Studio, I've created the text background and cut it out on white cardstock, then backed it with different shades of pink pattern papers. Next I created the CRAZY Cluster of florals in varying colours, sizes and textures on top of some Hand Dyed Muslin and pieces of a lace doily. I've also scattered in some enamel glitter dots around the cluster and added a resin bird, then lastly a sequin bow and a couple more flowers on the bottom right.

Here's some close ups..

There are so many choices in florals within the Store, and the selection I've used is only a handful of them. My favourite go to florals lately have been the Elegance and Fantasy fabric blooms, Magnolias,  Pastel Petals & Forget Me Nots. I've also mixed in a couple of older style florals in bright pink.

These sequin Butterflies are so pretty! And the perfect finishing touch to add a bit of sparkle to that massive cluster.

Another favourite of mine - the mini enamel dots, especially the glitter ones! I wish they came in packets of mini dots only as they're the ones I used up first.

Well thats all from me today, I hope you like this floral craziness I seem to be stuck in lately!

Until Next time, Happy Scrapping!

'Smile' Mixed Media Canvas - Sarah Rosse

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with you for another mixed media project. Using some gelli printed canvas boards created for another design team project, I have used these to create a set of three for a birthday present for my mum (lets hope she's not reading this hey!). The canvas board as pictured above is 5x7 and embellished with D-lish Scraps goodness!

The background has been created using texture paste, applied sparingly to create lots of lumps and texture points. Once dry, I then applied gelatos over it and smudged them in with a wet baby wipe. Gelatos are a great medium to use on all different surfaces and are a quick and easy way to add lots of colour.

The embellishments used are mostly from past Just Add Paper Kits. The striped bitty bag was from the Sunny Daze kit, the flowers, washi tape and journal piece are from the Peaches and Cream kit. Past kit bits and pieces can be purchased in store here. My favorite piece of all is the cute resin deer...I even had to fight my 3 year old for it! He loved it so, he wanted to keep it for himself! The deer can be purchased in store by clicking here. The 'smile' chipboard piece is from Kinder Creations and their whole range is available in store here.

Here is a close up pic of those gorgeous embellies;
Until next time, thanks for joining me.

"say cheese" by Malinda Gardner

Hi all, Malinda here again with a share for the end of February.

Remember that Kinder Kreations chipboard frame that I used as a template and then used some of iton a page a  couple of weeks ago, well here I am using the rest of it on this page. I love how you can rip it into pieces and use it on multiple pages. A bit of paint and voila it's ready to go.

How cute is this camera embie? It's from the January - Summer Squeeze Just Add Paper Kit. It fit perfectly with the Say Cheese Paint Tab.

Before you ask, that black stuff is house paint, yes house paint. I love it on a page but I felt I wanted a bit more blue and some added dimension on my page so I added some of the blue coloured wire which I think is the best stuff ever. I love how it bends and folds into what ever shape you want and super easy to cut as well.

Lately my pages all have to have flowers on them and right now I love big flowers. Never thought I would say that lol. These black paper flowers are the best.

Lastly a resin flower and some washi torn into rough small strips and I'm finished.

We have now moved from New Zealand to Sydney, but I'll be back in a couple of weeks with another share. For now I'm off to order a heap of stuff from D-lish...have you seen the new stuff???
Happy scrapping.

"You + Me" by Gwen Wruck

Hi Everyone,  Happy Friday to you all!

Back again to share another page with you AND it's another pic from my 40th Birthday party.

The idea for this layout came from one of the December Cybercrop Challenges set by Anthea  - To use Circles + Wire.. remember this one?

Whilst I didn't add the wire, I thought it was a great starting point for a layout, something to start the creative process flowing and I don't normally use circles in my designs so it was fun to step out of my comfort zone a little.  So if you haven't joined our great group on Facebook, The Scrap Suite - You really need to, so much inspiration and fun and prizes, yep prizes!!

So as you can see, lots and lots of circles in my background all punched out of some left over pattern paper.

I have then added some punched hearts and stitching details for interest.  I have also added a Shaped Wooden Button to finish off the circles in some places.  I have only just found these cute little Jewelled Cabochon Flowers aren't they the sweetest!!   You can also see the Bitty Bow Clips which I love!!!

Here you can see how all the little pieces have worked together, I've added a Flairwood beads and D-lish-Dots - Enamels, some super small hearts and the jewelled flowers all in a scattering around the page.

One more close up, this time you also get a glimpse of my paper layers, the Wood Veneer title and the butterfly Flair.

So I hope I've inspired you to give some of our challenges a go, step outside your comfort zone a little and I'm sure you will love the end result!

Always Love You by Amanda Lawrence

I think I'm in denial that February is almost over ... not sure where that month went!
It's all systems go here at D-lish HQ as I busily prepare for our March 'Just Add Paper' kit release early next week. Keep your eyes peeled, this one is a stunner!

I'm sharing another of my creations today. This one is of my babies and I taking selfies on Mother's Day.

I started with some old papers from my stash in pink, aqua and grey and then gathered a range of embellishments in the same palette. I like to do this as it gives me a 'kit' of bits to work from and really speeds up the process ... at least I find it does for me.

The main cluster has one of our gorgeous wood veneer stitchable hearts as it's focal point. I've finished the cluster with a selection of paper flowers, a flair, a bow, some resin pieces and enamel dots all layered on a paper doiley.

The other cluster uses the other half of the doiley, a bitty bag, more paper flowers, resin and some wood veneer. I've tucked some journaling on a library card into the bag.

The layout was completed with a title and some extra wood veneer pieces and enamel dots to help draw the eye around the page.

I hope you can get some inspiration from my share today, thanks for stopping by!

"Xmas Loot" by Charmane Koch

Hey Everyone! Happy Wednesday!

I don't know about you guys - but life is definitely getting in the way of my scrapping! More and more! So much, that I hardly get a chance to sit and even LOOK at my goodies that I get from D-lish!
So, seeing as I have been so time poor lately, I decided that I really needed to give Michelle's Glorious Grids Challenge a go! This meant I would scrap more than ONE photo, something I don't do very often!

This is the layout I came up with, my style is definitely not *straight* so my grid isn't perfect, but I think you get the drift! I kept it rather simple, but have used PLENTY of D-lish Scraps Flowers again for my page!

And I am really happy to not only scrap a Christmas themed layout, but have used pictures of all 3 kids as well - I'm ticking a LOT of boxes!

I love the randomness of this layout - I have positioned all of the embellishments not to be perfect, but I think somehow it balances out - the mix of sequins on both sides of the layout, doilies on the opposite sides of the layout, and then the flowers too.

I also found some heart enamels that I stuck on each of the photos but in different positions.

For the background I have used one of the fab Stencils from D-lish scraps - just a bit of modelling paste, to add some kind of texture to the page.

And can't resist another one of those fabulous Sequin bows that I can't get enough of! I LOVE them! And I have bought MANY and in the same colours too! They are the perfect addition to EVERY layout I think!

Anyway, hope I have inspired! So much fun to scrap again {as I say every time!} I just need some time to sit and have a FULL day to play! When will that EVER happen? {boohoo!} Please tell me I'm not the only one!

Hey, at least we can always shop??

Deer And Happy Card

Hi,  Im back again this week to share with you some lovely creations l have made, I  hope you enjoy!

This month l have created two projects, an altered Deer, and a Birthday card, using lot's of beautiful D-lish goodies.

So here are my projects that l have created.

So first off is the Birthday card, that l made. I  cut a 4 1/2 inch x 11 1/2 inch piece of good quality white card stock, and scored down the middle. This is for the base of the card.
Then l used a piece of Ranger Watercolour piece of paper to create the front of the card. Cut this to fit.

I added some brush strokes using water colour pastels, in 3 different colours. Dried off with a heat gun. Then set aside.
Then l cut out a word title "Happy" using a metal die, and a Flower using a Memory Box die l had from my stash.

I then added a Resin Rose from a past Just Add Paper Kit , and a Apricot Magnolia Flower, and also a yellow flower from a Past Kit. Bunched these all together in the bottom left corner, to make a little cluster.
Then l stamped a Birthday sentiment in black ink, and heat embossed. Last but not least l added some clear sequins over the front of the card.

My next project l made was my Deer. I picked this up from a $2 shop. It was a light greyish colour so l decided to paint it with white Gesso, with a couple of coats all over.
After it was dry, l added some hessian ribbon l had in my stash, and tied a bow around the Deer's neck.
On one side of the neck, l added the New gorgeous Yellow Fantasy Bloom flower that are over at the D-lish  store. Just love these flowers, they are so pretty, and make any project stand out when you use them.

Then on the other side of my Deer, l glued lots of different D- lish flowers and bunched them all together. Cherry Blossoms, Mini Roses , Forget me Nots, and also a little Yellow Resin Butterfly.

Then thats it all finished. Great as a gift for someone, or keep it yourself!

So that's it for me this month.
Look forward to my next share with you soon.

Take care,

Tracey. x

'Friends' by Belinda Griffin

Hi All,

Belinda back with you today to share a layout I've been intending to create ever since I came accross these adorable wood veneer embroidery hoops. I just knew I had to create a layout with them as the main feature and so this circluar layout was born.

I chose a variety of patterned papers for my backgrounds and then to back behind each of the embroidery hoops. I left one hoop free of paper, instead backing it with my photograph and centering it amongst the rest.

I then created my title by sticking some alphas to the background and then going over the them with some gold medium. I went on to use the same gold medium to colour in some of the crosses on my background on the top left of the layout and around the title.

For some extra colour I added pieces of a doily from a previous Just Add Paper Kit to the top and bottom with a couple of phrases from a wordfetti card at the top.
Finally, I added a few extra embellishments around my hoops- a magnolia flower, flair, sequin bow and resin bow with some scattered sequins for good measure.

Thanks for stopping by today
