"Live for today" by Julie Pearce

Hello again,

I'm here today sharing a layout I created using this months Just add paper kit Sunset Dreaming.
I love this kit and the colours this month.
I started off by using the pretty mini butterfly stencil that came in the kit with some texture paste.
I then used some patterned paper to layer behind my photo and used the grey doily cut in half and put it behind my patterned paper top and bottom. I used the x washi tape that came in the kit and put a strip on top and bottom near my photo mate. I made an embellishment cluster on the corner of my photo using 1 coral daisy, 1 yellow double layered flower, 1 orange resin flower, a D-lish flair, 2 wood veneer leave, D-lish journal die cut, lace bow patch and put a mini heart cabochons in lemon on the bow. And then added a couple of gorgeous glitter dots.
I used the Live for today wood veneer for my title and wrapped around yellow and white twine. And also used a couple more of those glitter dots and wood veneer leaves. To finish it off a splatted some gold Heidi colour shine.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout. Make sure you head over to the D-lish Scraps store and grab your self a JAP kit before they're all gone.
Catch you next time.

"Pose" - by Jasmine Shea

Yay, it's the weekend.
I hope you get some scrappy time this weekend.
Unfortunately between kids sport and functions, I think it will be a 'scrap free' weekend for me :(

But I have created this page to share with you today.

I was only after one nice photo of my darling daughter but of course, it turned into a series or pics, many different poses and many that didn't end up on the page.

This design is probably a bit 'random' for me but it was fun just adding lots of bits and pieces and just going with it.

Here you can see I have used some Loose Sequins, some Ombre Wordfetti pieces which are so easy to add to the page and one of my faves, the Elegance Blooms.

I have also used  a beautiful blue Tassel and finally some Cabbage Roses to complete the page.

There are a lot of new arrivals and re-stocked items in the shop so make sure you check them out here

See you again next time.

"Adore" by Anthea

Hi All.

Hope you are all well!

This month I bring you a LO using a photo that I absolutely adore.  My beautiful daughter hugging my 'niece's' very pregnant belly.  I wanted the LO to be soft and pretty and very feminine.  There was a bit too much colour happening in the photo for me to work with - so I changed it to black and white and chose my colours from scratch.  (I do apologise for the less than stellar photo - I have been waiting for some decent light but I am just not around when the light is to take the photo - I hope you can forgive me!?)

This LO is really very simple.  I used a stencil to apply some texture paste and then coloured that in with some gelatoes. D-Lish has a ton of gorgeous stencils here.  I then just prettied the whole LO up with lots of D-Lish goodies.  As you can see I have used a D-Lish doily to back my photo (will I ever get sick of them?) I then used some Little Birdie flowers, which are relatively new to the store, and mixed them with some forget-me-nots and some white leaves. There are tons of other flowers in the shop to use too.

I still wanted a bit of texture and colour: so I mixed in some stamens,  and  some wire twisted with beads (I will go into this a bit more later in my post) and a D-Lish flair button.  I also snuck in some washi tape from an old JAP kit.  (If you are looking for a good bargain - there is currently 50% off old JAP kits.)

Using beads and wire together is something that is not new to me, but I will admit this is the first time I have used D-Lish wire for the job.  I have to say, the wire was soooooo easy to work with. Unlike other wires I have used, it twisted easily and didn't break and did exactly what I wanted it to do.  In this LO I used Swarovski crystal beads that I had on hand, but you can use any type of bead you like to make your creations.  The other great thing about the  D-Lish wire is the fact that it comes in so many different colours - you can check out the selection here.

I then added my title, which is creative cut script word  used straight from the package.  (I ummmed and ahhhed a lot about whether I should do more with it, but in the end decided it could stay white - for now)

I then decided the LO needed something more and thought that the heart creative cuts would be perfect - the only problem was I didn't have anything to back them with (and I so desperately wanted to back them).  This is where it is a good thing that I don't stick ANYTHING down until I have a really good idea where I want things to go.  In the end - I simply lifted the photo up and cut out two pieces big enough to back the hearts with matching paper.  (Shhhhhhh - don't tell anyone there is a big hole in the back of my LO - it can be our secret.) I think they look great.  I then stuck a whole bunch of little star sequins from the all over the LO.  These little stars were from the clearance section, but other sequins can be found here.

I hope you like my LO and once again, I hope I have inspired you to try something new.  I would love for you to try out the wire and bead technique with the D-Lish wire and let me know what you think.  It is a lot of fun and you can be as wild as you want to be.

Till next time - take care and happy scrapping.

Hugs
Anthea

'So Many Reasons to Smile' by Elisa Ablett

Hi D-lish Peeps!

Almost the weekend yahoo!

Elisa here from the design team with my latest layout - a colourful boy mixed media layout.

I started out with adding some background colour to my page using Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals in two of my favourite colours Teal and Green. Then I added the most gorgeous of teal glitter tape and washi tape to the top edge of my page and along the bottom of my page as well.

Add some teal punchinella and frame, shaker star and wood veneer from a past 'Just Add Paper Kit' and layer under and around your photo along with a gorgeously dotty 'Journal It - Sassy Spot'.

Make sure you stop by the shop to check out the specials in the Past Kits Bits 50 %-OFF section, a few great bargains.

To balance your page design out - add some colour and washi tape and few of your desired elements to the bottom right of your page.

Here are some close ups of the finer details! I must admit I am in love with that teal glitter tape.

One of my favourite D-lish Scraps products is the Teal - Journal-Its---Ombre-Wordfetti perfect for adding a subtle and colour co-ordinating title to your page! and yes I think you can tell my favourite colour is Teal!

TIP - Staple your punchinella to your page, not only keeps the punchinella secure but adds a little bit more grunge to the page!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, make sure you leave some love 😀

"Acrobat Fun" by Amanda H.

Hi D-lish fans,

My turn to share this fun and bright page today of my creative daughters! They spend hours making up shows and dances and plays - including costumes and make-up! In fact for this acrobat show, it was their face make up that inspired the back ground for my page. I drew a zig zag on the background and simply painted on either side!

A bright page, finished off perfectly with a few key D-lish Scraps elements.

You can see from these close ups, how I have used strips of pink and blue Punchinella behind the photos on either side.

Sequin bows, always a favourite, and this new BRIGHT hot pink is perfect. Check out the new "BRIGHTS" in the bows, awesome colours!

Another go to is Paper roses... I have used black which work perfectly with the colour scheme.

A few extras to finish from my stash- some sequins, staples, muslin, plasters tape were also added.

Thanks for looking today! Hope you get out those BRIGHT colours and go to town!

Amanda

Just Being You by Tamara Buckler

Hello and happy Monday!

Where oh, where do the weekends go?!!? We had lovely busy weekend here with my hubby's birthday and Mother's Day, but I did manage to squish in some scrappy time and to drop by and share with you all.

I started with some patterned paper from Shimelle Lane, that featured navy and teal spots, and drew my colour inspiration from there. I got messy with my background, using some teal paint and navy ink to create a watercolour effect.

I then raided my D-lish Scraps stash to see what I could pull together in these colours. I added some punchinella in royal blue, I had in my head that this was really for masculine, structured pages, but love the texture and shine it adds here.

The beautiful new Little Birdie Watercolour flower jumped out at me and really became a feature of my embellishment cluster. I didn't love the pearl centre of the flower, so customised it with some navy ink and a D-lish dot from the classic mix.

I added in a beautiful sequin bow in Teal and some resin flowers in white and blue. I added a date spot from a previous kit, and also customised a wood veneer from a previous kit to make it navy blue. A resin bird, some more enamel dots and a minifetti strip finished off the page.

Thanks for stopping by to check my out my page. Hope you have an awesome week ahead!

Big Loves
Tam x

Mother's Day by Rachel Dutko

Hello everyone, and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums out there.

Today I have a Mother's Day layout to share.
This layout features my Mum, my sisters and my neice.

I was excited to see the new Creative Cuts in the store, I've used the Scribble Circles and the Leaves sets.

I've used plenty of flowers on this layout - Little Birdy Watercolour Flowers , Tea Roses in Cream and Yellow, Wild Roses, Bitty Blooms, and Wax Blossoms.

I've also added gold wire, wood veneer hearts, blue pearl cabochons and some hand-dyed muslin from my stash into my clusters.

I've added a strip of washi tape and a simple quote from the

D-lish products used

Thanks for looking, have a great day

Rachel xx

...adventure time...by Nicolee Cable

Hi there wonderful D-lish people.
Hope you're doing well on this beautiful Saturday?
I hope it's a lovely day where ever you are!

I've chosen a layout I did recently that doesn't appear over 'D-lishy'
but even though it is not embellishment heavy, nearly all of the
embellishments are D-lish.
It just shows that you can do grungy, boyish, embellish-lite layouts and
still have them look amazing! (Well I think so anyway)!

Firstly I sprayed ink on plastic and then 'smooshed' it onto the paper.
Random and abstract - just as I like it!
I then stamped randomly onto the ink.

After adding a few sticker elements on the background I then used
the D-lish Scattered Stars stencil in two different ways.

First I inked through the stencil and then I traced the stars
onto the background in some places.
It's fun to use stencils in 'old fashioned' ways again.

I inked the chipboard stars but not with full coverage,
leaving them looking a little distressed and grungy.

Once the background was done, it's then that I layered the elements.
After tearing up a piece of gifted glittery mesh (it can never be square or predictable can it?)
I layered my D-lish embellishments.

Here is a list of what I used (can you spy them all?):

All the layout needed was a title and we're done!

So there you have a grungy, funky boy layout -
with some pretty cool D-lish embellishments
to top it off!

I'd love to see what you come up with in your creative time.
Pop on over to the D-lish store to see what goodies are available.

We also are running our May Cybercrop so we'd love
you to pop over to The Scrap Suite on FB and join in.
Hopefully you'll be inspired by what the Design Team have created
and we'd love to see your wonderful creations.
There's always great prizes up for grabs!

Have a great weekend and I'll see you in a fortnights time for another share.

Take care
Nicolee xx

"Sweet" by Julianne McKenna

Hello Fellow Crafters! It's Julianne joining you today.

We get so caught up in scrapbooking about our families - our partners, our children, or ourselves, that we often forget to scrap about inanimate things. But today, I'm going to change that. Today, I'm sharing a layout about my dream kitchen.

"Sweet" is all about the gorgeous, pretty kitchen that I would love to cook in. My love of colour lends itself to everything, including a beautifully coloured house, with a shabby, vintage kitchen done in pinks, blues and yellows. Sigh...it's to die for!

I have reflected the colours in the photo, on my layout - lots of pink, with a dash of blue and yellow.

The gorgeous pink flowers and flair are from the "Pretty In Pink" Just Add Paper Kit. You can get these pink flowers individually as well, Elegance Blooms and Fantasy Blooms. I have also used  pale pink mini rosebuds.

The "Pretty In Pink" Just Add Paper kit also included this luscious pink paper doily, a "SWEET" chipboard word, and a little pink fabric bow. I have embossed the "SWEET" chipboard word with white embossing powder to help create a smooth texture.

The paper doily has been cut into two halves, with one placed at the top of the page, and one at the bottom. This helps create two focal points, and balances the page.  There are paper doilies in store of all different colours.

And for a lovely vintage touch, I have created bunting using paper flags and mini roses. Oh, and the twine I used - that is what the "Pretty In Pink" Just Add Paper kit was wrapped in. I'm not one to waste anything, so even the wrapping string can be recycled and reused.

And in my usual fashion, I have included journalling. It will be interesting to look back on this layout in 10 or 20 years, and to see if my tastes have changed, or if my dream kitchen came true.

Thanks for joining me today, and I hope I may have inspired you to scrap about things from a different point of view. Hmmm, maybe it's time to do a layout about a dream house or dream car?

Right, I'm off to buy a lotto ticket!!! What about you?

Cheers and happy crafting, xx
