"Together" By Tracey Wright

Good Morning, and happy to be back again to share with you a layout l have recently created.
I have created this layout using these Gorgeous D-lish products that are available at the store.

With this layout, l have simply used a Just Add Paper Kit  from last months October kit.
Really loved this kit, the colours were Gorgeous. The kits are full of goodness, l still have things left over, so there is always plenty to add to your stash.

My layout.

I started off with a piece of patterned paper from my Cocoa Vanilla stash. Lately l have had abit  of a fetish using these papers. l just love the black and white backgrounds.
l placed a Green doily from my stash, that went well with this kit, along with the black doily that came in my Just Add Paper Kit. I have layered these under my photo.

Next l have added some of the Vellum Stars on my layout, and some sequins scattered around the layout. I placed the tassel that came with the kit, and a couple of the Flair buttons, that were from the kit as well.

My Title word You + Me, to create this look, l have painted black paint over it first, then painted a little bit of aqua paint from my stash, and then wiped away some with a baby wipe, to give it that aged distressed look.

I also used the Stencil that came in the kit too, and stencilled with some green paste. I placed the little arrows at the bottom of my photo. I painted the wooden crosses with black and green paint, and placed over some wash tape.

I had so much fun creating this layout. I have been wanting to use this photo of my daughter and my husband for awhile now. Finally got it to some good use.
Love using these  Just Add Paper Kits, they make your layouts stand out so much. I just love using them.
Amanda does such a terrific job every month putting these kits together.

Well that's it for me, l can't believe it is just only over 3 weeks until Christmas.
l hope you have all got your Christmas list's sorted. I think l am organised this year.

Take care,

and see you all soon.

Hello fun by Sarah Rosse

Hello crafty cats, Sarah here for my next November layout for D-lish Scraps.

As you can see in the photo, my son found this nice puddle to jump in....before I told him to get out of it, I pulled my phone out to take a photo and turned out to be a great one!

This time I created my own background paper using 5 different distress inks and water splatters.

Here are a couple of photos of how I created the background - each distress ink was added gradually until the whole page was covered, using an ink blending tool.

Some of the embellishments used on this layout include;
Star buttons from the Geometric Crush JAP kit,
Black punchinella,
Kinder Kreations wooden words,
Journal It - Paint Chip Tabs in Royal Blue,
Puffy Alphabet Stickers in Royal Blue,
Sequins and a few other embellies from left past Just Add Paper Kits.

Here are some close up shots;
I hope you liked my layout and why not give a simple background like this a go!

'bubble-o-bill tradition' by Nicolee Cable

Have you ever had a layout go wrong?
A background that just doesn't work?
An idea that doesn't emerge on paper like it looks in your head?

Well here is the final product of a layout idea that initially just didn't cut it!

Aren't you glad it's just paper and you can start again
and add some amazing D-lish embellishment goodness
that just makes it look c'est magnifique!

I knew I wanted to use this old patterned paper (loved the colours and of
course, I've been saving it for a special project)...
and I really wanted to have circles on the page which related to the photo...
and even though I loved the texture pastes I used.....
it just didn't work!
So I 'scrapped' it - and started again!

I'm just going to show you close ups of the finished product
which turned out much better than the original idea!

Here are the D-lish embellishments I used
that really improved and completed this layout:

chipboard letters
Kinder Kreations chipboard
copper washi tape (my all time favourite)
polka dotted washi tape
aqua string (from a previous JAP kit)

and the washi tape again (which is so easy and cute to rip into strips)...

...and the lovely flowers (magnolias and forget-me-nots),

It just shows you don't have to totally ditch all your
'failed' layouts - redo them, tweak them, refine your ideas and then
 add some D-lish goodies
and they will take pride of place on display in your home!

I hope you enjoyed this layout as much as I finally did! :)

Thanks for looking
and have a wonderful Monday.

Take care
Nic x

Always beYOUtiful | Michelle Stokes

Hey Everyone! I'm back today with a new layout share featuring this months Just Add Paper Kit - Peacock Parade. I really loved the colours within this kit and knew that they'd challenge me, in a good way. These kits are perfect for creating with, especially when you might be needing a mojo boost!

Here's what I came up with..

I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to scrap with this kit until I came across this photo of Leila from 2013. She was trying to take the phone from me while I was taking photos, which resulted in a 'selfie'. I've scrapped the photo before, and wasn't happy with the end result. I'm so much happier with this! Must be the Kit and products within it that made it all the more special! 😉

I started the layout with a white background and some messy stitching around the edges, then made my own pattern paper using the washi tape and white cardstock. The photo stack was layered with the coloured doily from the kit, a white doily from the store and a piece of the journalling card from the kit popping out of the top layers.

Next up I worked on the pieces tucked into and around the photo, starting with this cluster of goodness. Its made using the amazing die cuts, an exclusive flair button and matching 'date' journal it, a super pretty metal peacock with some twine, paper and satin flowers, sequins and a resin dot

The title itself was an experiment that I thought turned out all wrong. I used multiple layers of glitter paste and gelatos with an ombre effect that turned out quite pretty. I also added some puffy alpha stickers above to add to the title, sewed down to keep them in place forever!

In this cluster I used the remaining journal its, and the packaging label together, including a bright purple sequin bow for added sparkle, another flair button, paper and satin flower, resin dot and sequin. Lastly I added a sprinkling of Teal coloured Color Shine, some watered down gelatos in random spots around the page, and multiple mini glitter enamel dots. Love them! Wish the mini size came in a pack by themselves!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to share what you've made with us over in the Scrap Suite on Facebook! We love seeing your creations!

Until next time, Happy Scrapping!

"Happy Days" by Malinda Gardner

Malinda here with another D-lish share for you all today.

I've been itching to share this page since I did a few weeks ago...I'm totally in love with it...can't stop looking at it.

We recently moved to NZ and love everything about it here. It's such a beautiful country, so much to do and mostly everything is to do with the outdoors.

So I had this picture, a small panoramic shot I took when we were in Algies Bay, up north in NZ, that I wanted to scrap. I loved the blue in it, the water and the sky, just perfect.

I won't bore you with the details of how I did my background. It's along the same lines of how I did my last one...modelling paste, Speedball inks, Dylusions white mist, Dylusions paints, bit of dabbing (LOL).
Next came the layering of a bit of patterned paper,  light blue and black of course, some gauze, that I'd used to dab with so it took up some of the blue colour and the blue punchinella this time. In different light it looks a bit purple or green, how cool is that!!!???

I don't like to waste any paint that I've mixed up on my messy mat, so I either use it as background for the next page or in this case I put three of the wood veneers in them and gave them a quick bit of colour.

I continued to layer, now adding the bright blue coloured wire, which I cut (really easy to cut and bend and shape this wire, and it holds the shape too which is important) to the lengths I wanted.

A few flowers, 3 of course, paper roses in white, intertwined around the wire, a flair button from a past Just Add Paper kit and three strategically :) placed enamel glitter dots in black and I'm done embellishing..

Last is my title and as I've said before I love the Ombre Wordfetti in teal as a simple title. A tiny bit of journalling, to note the time and place of the photo and that's it for this page.

This page actually only took me about an hour, minus the drying time of the background which I left overnight. I love quick pages.

Happy scrapping

'Sweet Girl' by Jaimie Ramsey

Hi D-lish fans!

It's Jaimie here again to share a sweet layout I created of my daughter blowing out the candles on her 12th birthday cake. She will be a teenager next year, so I wanted this layout to be sweet and girly, along with a touch of whimsy to reflect the last birthday of her childhood before she becomes a teenager.

I used the gorgeous Crate Paper "Cute Girl" 6x6 paper pad & ephemera pack for the layering, the acetate banner on the top right & the acetate title.

I started the page with some mixed media, using peacock shimmer dust by Colour Blast to create a base to anchor the photo mat. I then used the super cool numbers stencil from D-lish with some silver bo bunny glitter paste in a few random places. Next I used the spots stencil from D-lish with some white colour blast paste to add another layer of dimension.

I then used a thin piece of silver punchinella to work with the blue streak underneath it.

I created a photo mat from various random layers of the paper pad, along with a white Doily for interest.

To the right of the photo, I created a cluster with a piece of Ephemera from the paper collection, along with a Green Tara Azaelea in white and a silver glitter dot.

At the bottom of the photo I finished the layout with a cluster of D-lish embellies including a blue sequin butterfly, a blue suede tassel, a Flair and a silver glitter dot.

I hope you like my layout, don't the cute embellishments just make the perfect finishing touch?

Thanks for checking in!

"Love, Love, Love You" by Gwen Wruck

Happy Thursday D-lish fans, Gwen here again today for another layout share.

I'm going brights with this one with one of my favourite colour combos Pink and Yellow!

This layout actually started out with the hand scripting.  I saw a quick little video on Facebook and it made it look so easy I thought I'd give it a try.  So, I pulled out a large piece of water colour paper and just went about scripting the word 'love' over and over.  I chose two of my favourites, fussy cut them out and stitched them onto my background.  Everything else was added around this design element.

I've combined a tag from a Past Kit Bit and the Wordfetti to create the base of my lower cluster and added some Resin Embellishments and Enamel Dots/Shapes to finish it off.

and of course, I had to add a bit of sparkle and a pop of yellow with this Sequin bow and a Heirloom Flower.

To add to my bold title, and add interest to the top of the layout, I thought I'd make a feature out of the Enamel Dots,  mix them with paint drops for added subtle texture and some other elements including the Resin Embellishments which I love.

Products used:

Sequin bows
Heirloom Flowers
Resin Embellishments
Enamel Dots/Shapes
Past Kit Bit
Printed Tag Pack - Dip Dye
Paint Chip tabs

"The Big 60" by Charmane Koch

Hello Everyone!

Time for me to share again! This time I created a layout celebrating my Dad's 60th Birthday... It's not often that I am able to take photos of my Dad and my Step-Mum so I was stoked to be able to get these shots of them on Dad's 60th Birthday Celebrations...

I decided to go with a Monochromatic layout seeing as they were both wearing Red, I went with that colour for my background and embellishments. Firstly I smeared some red paint using an old credit card that I dried using a heat gun, then smeared red paint over the stencil, moving it to different positions on the page to create an overlapping effect.

How adorable are the Sequin Butterflies? I had one in Red and how perfect it is for the page... along with my all time fave Paper Roses...

The fabulous arrow was in the Plus One JAP kit from last month - the bonus of purchasing the JAP kits is that there's always something unique in them that you can't always get anywhere else!

I totally love the Wood Veneer frames - especially these little mini ones - they are so cute, love how they frame my Dad & Step-Mum in this photo...

Another embellishment that you will almost always find on my layouts is the Paper Doilies! If I don't have at least one on my page it feels naked to me! Haha!

Anyway, I hope I have inspired you to get playing with your D-lish goodies!

Happy Creating!

XO Charmane
