💛you - Emma Zappone

How has your day been?
Great I hope.
I'm here with D-lish to share my final layout for this month with you.
I wanted this page to be a quick layout, especially as I have been very time poor of late and I like to remind myself that quick can still look good. And I hope you think so too, lol.
I decided that if I used a bright busy background paper I wouldn't need to 'dress' it with anything. I used plenty of punchinella on here with 3 bitty bags for my layers. A journal tag from a past JAP kit and a cute flair.

I painted 2 of the Dusty attic chipboard words to compliment the paper, and no layout is complete without a journal it.

And in this months JAP kit we had this awesome 'love you' wood veneer!!! Had to use this as I totally adore the people in this photo. And it paints so well.

I did love giving the softest koala in the photo a big cuddle too.
A couple of coloured arrows and some randomly placed stamps and the page was complete. It was quick and fun.
It helps when you have fantastic products to play with like D-lish has.
That reminds me, tomorrow is the 1st of March, and you know what that means.....
A New JAP kit gets released!!! There has also been a few re stocks so get in quick, so that you don't miss out.
It's been a great couple of days sharing with you.
I hope it has been of some inspiration.
Till I see you all next month, happy scrapping,
Em. Xxxx

I adore you - Emma Zappone

Good morning.
Its Monday, but I don't want that to dampen the scaping spirit......
So today I will be sharing 2 layouts with you, one now and one a bit later on this arvo,  as it's the 29th of Feb, which means it's a new month tomorrow. (squeezing in 3 shares in 2 days)
My first share for today was inspired by Krisy's mood board challenge over at The Scrap Suite.
The colours are just gorgeous, so subtle and elegant.
Here is my interpretation.......

And here is the mood board.....

Isn't it beautiful.
As soon as I saw this challenge I just knew I had to give it a go. Again the colours are not my go to colour scheme but wow it was nice to play with a such soft selection of colours.
And again in this. I'm digging (for) gold right now. Lol.

I wanted to keep it fairly simple, really showcasing the colour tones.
I used some gold texture paint with a Dusty Attic criss cross stencil, randomly over the page.
Then I started layering with a few PL papers and overlays. I placed a quote overlay over a bitty bag to really make it stand out. And I tucked in some gold punchinella in also. I then tucked in a Journal It as my title for this page.

How cute is the bike flair! I just had to use it!
Now I don't use a lot of flowers on my pages but I really felt I had to with these gorgeous colours. So I just added a few random flowers that matched. Some good Ol' enamel dots finished off my little cluster.

So because I used flowers, I thought, hey I have sequins I received in one of the past JAP kits, lets play with them on here too.
They add a nice bit of bling with the gold, don't you think?
I love this finished page. And It was really nice to play along with one of the challenges this month.
Have you had a chance to play yet?
It's a lot of fun and it really helps get inspired to try different things, like I did with different colours then my usual go to.
I'll see you all a little later on with my final share for this month.

Such fun - Emma Zappone

Hi there fellow scrappers,
It's the weekend, I hope that means some down time with those important to you and hopefully a little creative time.
I'm excited to be here for the next couple of days to share what I have created with some amazing D-lish goodies.
The first one I'm sharing is created with this months JAP kit......

Inspired by this mood board.....

Gold, it's so hot right now!!!
And I LOVE playing with it, it adds shimmer and shine to anything. In this kit it was beautifully tied in with pink, not a colour I admit to using a whole lot but I was a little excited to use it in a girly fun way.
But I grunged it up a little instead, lol.
I just had to scrap this photo of my gorgeous friends and I at a recent concert we enjoyed together.
Many laughs and fantastic music made for an awesome night.

So what i did to create this page, I very quickly brushed on some impasto paste, dried it and then added water paint over the top, and then spritzed it all over with a gold.
I then used a couple of stamps, and so this became my 'grunged' up background.
I must admit I don't love it but at the same time I don't hate it either.

This kit consists of so many fantastic elements, my hat goes off to Amanda very month for what she puts into them.
My fave items in this kit were the gold scallop and that cute camera. Who am I kidding I loved all the embellishments!!! I loved using pieces of the washi tape with the gold punchinella and then tore strips of the pink tissue paper.
With just a little bit of twine and some flairs this page was complete.

Did you manage to grab yourself a kit this month? If you did, have you had a chance to play with it yet?
We would love to see what you have made with all these D-lishous treats.
I hope you all have a fantastic Sunday, and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

HEART YOU | Krisy Podolak

Hi D-lish Lovelies.

Today it's my last share for this month but I am so please to be extending my stay with the D-lish Design Team for another term and that this isn't a farewell post.

Toady, I am sharing a Valentines Layout.  The photo is from a series I took last year when I only had 2 kids and until now, hadn't done anything with them.  I recently purchased the Crate Paper "Hello Love" paper pack and I teamed this up with the Just Add Paper pack from this month - 'Sweet Nothings'.  The colours all work together and match the photo perfectly.

This layout is pretty simple for my style I let the papers and embellishments speak for themselves. I love the Heart Picks from the Just Add Paper kit, they remind me of little balloons.  There is also a Sequin Bow - my favourite thing from the D-lish Shop.

I have prepared a YouTube Process Video so you can watch this layout come together.  Head over to Popleopod on YouTube and check it out.

WISH | Krisy Podolak

Hi Again,
I'm back again sharing a layout that I have made using a photo of my daughter making a wish on a dandelion.  She LOVES them and cannot walk past without stopping to at least blow one.

Today, I want to show you that you can create a beautiful layout using only a few key elements and embellishments.

When you look at the photo the colour blue stands out along with the spots on my daughters rash vest, so I used these as my main inspiration.  I started with a mixed media background. I used some ink sprays through a stencil to start the colour and shape layers and then added some Colour Paste through a different contrasting stencil (you will see why I chose triangles when I explain why I chose the papers).

Because there is so much blue - I used some black and white spotted paper as a contrast. Then to bring in a different element (and not to kill the layout with too many spots) I used triangles.  Black and white triangled paper to match the black and white spots and the blue triangle paper in the paper cluster to match the blue spots on the background.

To bring in more circles, I used a round flair from the D-lish shop with blue words, a Charms Creations Circle. There is also some blue punchinella in there to bring in the colour and the circles. Finally, to bring in some more blue and to finish off that cluster of embellishments I used a blue sequin bow.  I think I've said it before but the sequin bows are my favourite embellishment from the D-lish shop.

You don't need a lot of embellishment to create a beautiful and meaningful layout.  I personally am not into heavy embellishment clusters and tend keep my embellishments to a minimum compared to other scrappers.  Remember - a well placed embellishment that ties into a layout is often more effective than many.  A little bit of planning and thinking can help you create a fantastic layout.

{LIVE} | Krisy Podolak

Hi D-lish Lovelies.
It's time for my few days of shares for February.  As you know it was my turn this month to set one of the cybercrop challenges.  I LOVE moodboards.  All the hard work of choosing colours and themes is done for you. I love Pinterest for moodboard inspiration and this challenge is no different.  The moodboard is straight from there.  (You can see my colour palettes moodboards on pinterest here

I completed two example pieces for the moodboard.  You would have see the first one in the Scrap Suite over on Facebook but if you missed it here it is.

This post is all about the second piece I created.  Well, actually it is the first layout I created but a little vote within the Design Team saw the other layout come out as favourite.

I used the same basic technique of using Impasto Paste as a base and then sprinkling seed beads onto it while it was still wet.  Then I went to town with all the peach, cream, beige, white and pink flowers I could find from the D-lish store that matched.  There are all sorts thrown in material and paper, I simply chose my flowers based on colour.

The chipboard {LIVE} is from Scrap FX and is available in the D-lish store and was a perfect size for this layout.  There is also a my favourite embellishment from the store in there too - a sequin bow.

Here are a few close ups:

So you can see how I went about putting this layout together, I have put a process video on YouTube for your viewing pleasure.  Check out my channel Popleopod.

Beautiful Girl | Mandy Melville

Hi again D-lish friends!

It's Mandy back with you today, sharing my final layout for the month! I was in the mood to play with a bit of mixed media when I sat down to do this layout, so I created a pretty background using Distress Inks and texture paste with a stencil. My layout features a super sweet photo of my baby girl...

I know lots of people don't really like using purple on their scrapbook layouts, but I personally love it and wish that more scrapbook collections had some purple in them because it's often hard to find purple scrapbook supplies. But never fear, D-lish Scraps has got your back, with embellishments in every colour that your heart could desire (including purple)!

Let's take a look at a few closeups of my layout so that you can see all of the gorgeous D-lish embellies that I used...

I love this pretty cluster of embellishments! I started by tucking a doily underneath the corner of the photo. I then added a phrase from the Sugar & Spice wordfetti sheet on top of my photo and attached it with a wooden peg. To finish this cluster off, I added a couple of small flowers (a plum sweetheart bloom and a white pastel petal), as well as a resin diamond. Here you can also see one of the small paper butterflies that I used on my layout.

I created a small flower cluster on the bottom left hand corner of the photo using a large purple rose and a sage coloured flower that is no longer being stocked.

The main flower cluster on the right hand side of my photo consists of two flowers from the Boutique Elements Camden Cottage French Carnival pack as well as another large purple rose. The Boutique Elements flowers have now been moved to the Clearance section of the store and are currently still available, but once they are sold out, they won't be re-stocked, so get in quick if you want to grab yourself a pack!

Well that's it from me for this month! I hope that you have enjoyed looking at my layouts over the past few days! Thank you so much for popping in! Until next month, happy scrapping!

Year Six | Mandy Melville

Hi D-lish fans!

It's Mandy here again, and today I'll be sharing my take on one of the current Cybercrop Challenges in The Scrap Suite. If you're not yet a member of our Facebook group, then we'd love you to come and join us! Each month we have four Cybercrop Challenges running that are set by the D-lish Scraps Design Team members.

Inspired by Emma's Cybercrop challenge this month, I created this layout about my daughter starting Year six...

This is the challenge that Emma has set...

This is such a great challenge because I'm sure if you're anything like me, you have stacks of school related photos that are waiting to be scrapped! I decided to scrap this recent photo of my daughter's first day back at school this year. I wanted to document how I felt about her starting her final year of primary school (I must admit I was a bit emotional!) as well as how excited she was about being a 'school leader' this year.

Here are a few closeups of my layout...

I started my layout off by creating lots of layers behind my photo using patterned paper, as well as a 5x7 chevron bag and some red spot tissue paper that I had left over from last month's Just Add Paper kit. I mounted my photo up with foam tape to add some dimension. I then attached an arrow paperclip to the top left hand corner of the layers... I like how the paperclip adds to the 'school' theme!

Up in the top right hand corner of my layout I created a little cluster to add another point of interest. I first added two strips of washi tape. (The washi tapes have recently been moved to the clearance section of the D-lish Scraps store so be quick if you want to grab some at a bargain price because once they're gone, they're not being restocked). On top of the washi tape I added a flair button from the School Days set.

To the right of my photo I added a bright chevron journal spot which I stamped the date onto, and another flair button from the school days set. On the bottom right hand corner of my photo I stuck a gorgeous felt polka dot bow. Below my photo I added two phrases, one from the yellow minifetti sheet, and the other from the Everyday Moments wordfetti sheet. They were the perfect sentiments for my layout. I especially like the 'Just be You' phrase, as I really want my daughter to remember this as she will soon be entering the difficult teenage years. Does anyone else love wordfetti/minifetti as much as me?! I finished my layout off by adding a couple of wooden apple buttons (which are perfect for a school themed layout), and some gold glitter chipboard stars (these are no longer in stock).

If you haven't done so already, I hope that you'll pop on over to The Scrap Suite and check out all of the current Cybercrop Challenges (one of them is set by me!). These challenges will remain open until Friday 11th March, so you still have plenty of time to join in!

I'll be back tomorrow with my final share for the month... this time I had a play with some mixed media! Until then, happy scrapping!

Heart you | Mandy Melville

Hi D-lish friends!

It's Mandy with you today and I'm looking forward to sharing some of my layouts with you here on the D-lish blog over the next few days! To kick it off, today I'm sharing my take on the current Inspiration Board challenge.

My layout features a lovely photo of my Mum with my youngest daughter and my nephew...

Here's a reminder of what the current inspiration board looks like...

Isn't this just gorgeous?! Every month when the inspiration board is revealed, I think "this is definitely my fave so far!", and then the next one is revealed and that becomes my new fave! But I think it will be pretty hard to top this one... I love it!! I was totally inspired by the yummy colours and the hearts! I also based my layout on the optional sketch, although I kind of added a few additional elements that weren't on the sketch.

I used lots of items from the February Just Add paper kit on my layout. Oh my goodness, there were so many beautiful items in this kit! Although the kit has now sold out you can still purchase some of the items from the kit here.

I think my favourite item in the kit this month was the heart confetti garland which I adhered down the right hand side of my layout! It is just stunning!

Let's take a look at a couple of closeups so that you can see all of the D-lish pretties that I used on my layout...

Amongst the layers behind my photo I included a 5x7 gold horizontal stripe bag (which I cut in half so that I can use the other half on another layout). Also tucked into the layers is a manilla shipping tag which I used to write my journalling on. I finished the tag off with some twine from the JAP kit. I tucked a doily in behind my photo, and created a lovely flower cluster on the top left hand corner of my photo. Included in the flower cluster is a white azalea and a light peach mini heirloom flower (both from Green Tara), as well as a large hot pink rose. Below the flower cluster I added an arrow word tab and a Freckled Fawn glitter chipboard heart (unfortunately these are no longer available).

One of my other favourite items in this month's kit was the scalloped glitter strip. I cut it in half to stretch it further and used it as a border along my patterned paper. I'm also loving the wood veneer pieces that have been making an appearance in the JAP kits lately... I used one from this month's kit as the title for my my layout! I created another little cluster next to the title using a journal spot and flair, both from the JAP kit, as well as another hot pink rose and a mini mint rose from a previous kit. Lastly, I tucked a Pinkfresh Studio ampersand die cut under the right hand side of my photo.

I finished my layout off by adding the date and a few gold ink splatters.

If you haven't had a chance to play along with our inspiration board challenge yet this month, you've still got just over a week to get your layout linked up! We've got some great entries in so far!

Thanks so much for popping by and taking a look at my layout. I'll be back tomorrow with another layout to share with you!

My Handsome Boys | Sue Plumb

Hello again D-lish fans! It's Sue Plumb back with you today for my final share this month. Following on from yesterday's flower-filled extravaganza, this time I have gone in the opposite direction. Today I am sharing with you a boy layout featuring a photo of me with my twin boys (terrors) with not a flower in sight!

This layout was created using many of the pieces from last month's boy themed "Hey Good Lookin" Just Add Paper kit. (Although the kits are now sold out, there are several of the kit bits available separately for purchase in the Just Add Paper kit section of the store HERE

I started this layout with a sheet of patterned paper by American Crafts and added some blue watercolour paint to it. I then added some stamping using the Scrap FX Hash Stamps. These are great for adding extra depth to your background. I also added some other layers using phrase stamps, stencils and ink.

I then created a layered mat for my photo using the black punchinella from the kit, a chevron print 5x7 paper bag and some patterned paper. I created this cluster using the die cut frame, cotton twineflair button and wood veneer moustache from the kit; I also added an arrow paperclip.

I used one of the journal bits from the kit to add the date and details, and I topped it with a little pearl heart cabochon. My title was created using the wood veneer title piece from the kit, a cute little moustache charm and some mixed alphas from my stash.

Along the lower edge of my photo I clustered together the die cut film strip and smile photo prop pick wrapped with more of the twine (all from the kit); and I added an extra heart flair button and a wood veneer frame.
I finished the layout with some splashes of navy mist and a scattering of D-lish Dots enamels.

That's all from me this month. Don't forget if you are looking for an extra scrappy challenge that you will find the February cyber crop challenges in our D-lish Facebook group The Scrap Suite. There are 4 challenges available from the design team girls, including this one from me...

So if you aren't already a member, make sure you click to join so you can take part in our chat and challenges each month!
Thanks for stopping by today. Til next time, happy scrapping! :)
