Happy Monday Everyone! I don't know about you, but I kind of look forward to Monday's. Especially if it has been a crazy busy weekend. Because it means that the family are all out of the house at work or school and that means peace and quiet for me to catch up on things by myself!
So, now that you know how I feel about Monday's let's talk pretty stuff! Today I am sharing with you a layout that I have created based on the current cyber crop sketch by the lovely Linda.
The cyber crop is still going and you have until mid June to get your entries in, so make sure you pop over to the Scrap Suite FB group and check it out. Or if you aren't a member, click on the link to join in the sidebar here! So, anyhoo, here is the page that I created based on the sketch:
So instead of creating a large circle like on the sketch, I used a cool new Scrap FX stencil (not in the shop right now, but I am sure that Amanda can get it in for you!) with some Heidi Swapp colour shine spray in butter. Isn't the colour gorgeous?! Can you see where I used some motex strips in silver in the corner instead of turning down the corner like the sketch suggests?! Remember that you don't have to run the motex tape through the machine and punch words on it, you can use it in many other ways!
I have used some other new bits and pieces in the shop too. I just love these little printed postage stamp wood veneers! Aren't they the cutest?! There are a few to choose from and suit all sorts of themes. And there is always room for enamel dots on your page! The one I have used here is from the "bold" sets, they are just a little larger than the others.
Another newbie are the gorgeous printed wood veneer butterflies! Just beautiful! And I just love the journal it's date tag, I always stock up on these each order, that and the journal spots! Can you see the pretty silver doily poking out too? I am loving adding a bit of silver instead of gold every now and then. And to keep in with the silver theme I have cut my title from silver foil on my Silhouette.
roses at the moment. All sorts of sizes and colours to choose from! Have you got yourself some of the metallic flair yet? I had to get some as soon as it went into the shop, silver of course for this page, but it comes in gold too! The 5x7 paper bags are so useful too, I have chopped this one in half to back my photo, but full size they are a great photo mat.
So there you have it, my take on Linda's sketch. Make sure you head over to the FB group and check out the other interpretations of this great sketch and maybe even have a go yourself!
Catch you soon,
