Project Life with Agnus Kasprzak

Hi again, thank you for all the wonderful feedback for the layout I shared yesterday :) I'm back today with a spread from my 2014 Project Life Album.

I have been a traditional 12x12" scrapper for many years and I've got to say that I am loving the pocket page style of scrapping more and more because I get to record all the everyday memories that wouldn't normally make it on a layout. I am documenting 2014 on a weekly basis using a double spread per week, with the occasional insert added for busier weeks.
This week's spread is back from January, featuring just the ordinary everyday things we got up to. I have used a neutral base of black white and grey and combined a mix of D-lish Scraps goodies to dress up my page and add a few pops of colour. I went with a classic design A Becky Higgins page protector and a mix of journal and filler cards.

Here's a closer look at the left hand side...

I always begin each week by typing up a date label for my album and the Journal It's date strips were perfect. I simply printed the date onto a piece of plain paper then held the paper up against a window while I lined the date strip over the top, using a piece of washi tape to secure it in place before putting it back through the printer. I also added a few Pinkfresh Studio Enamel hearts to my title card.
I used the same method as above the print my jounraling onto plain gird cards, then used some washi tape on either the top or bottom of the cards to create a uniform look across the page. The enamel stickers are great for not only adding a bit of colour, but also for dividing up the journaling.
I folded down one of the large Chevron Bags, to create a 3x4" sized bag and used this to hold a couple of business cards from some happy mail that was delivered to me.
I used the Round and Round bright Journal It's throughout both pages to add a few sub-titles and think the fun Days of the Week Flair Buttons were the prefect way to show which days the photo's were taken.

here's a better look at the right hand side...
I repeated many of the same elements to create a nice flow from one page to the next

I also added a little bit of stitching, and a few Freckled Fawn wood chips for extra detail

Here's the links to everything I have used from the D-lish Scraps store...

Thanks for stopping by :) If you're doing Project Life too I'd love to come have a peek at your albums, so let me know in the comments section so I can come and visit your blogs!

Good Times... by Agnus Kasprzak

Hi, Agnus here sharing my first post using some gorgeous D-lish Scraps goodies :)

I was so excited to order my first lot of items from the store that I forgot to consider how I would use these pieces on a page, but I was very glad to see that everything seemed to work together really well and for my first layout I have paired up a mix of classic black & whites, with pops aqua and a scatter of wood veneer to create this layout of my little guy playing it up for the camera during a recent fishing trip.
I love that the large chevron bags are the perfect size for backing 4x6" photos, and I also like that the bag can be used to hold extra photos or in this case a journal card where I have recorded all of the details from the day.
I used a 1.2" circle die to make a partial cut inside one of the Mini Notes Journal It's to create a tab that I have stitched onto the top of the journal card to make it easier to remove the card for reading and because the tab slides over the photo, it also keeps it from falling into the bag. I added a cluster of the super cute veneer and cabochon hearts with a pvc doily and flair button.
I created another cluster on the bottom corner of my photo and looped some cotton twine around one of the Freckled Fawn wood chip hearts to secure it to my page and added another flair button and cabochon heart over a ledger circle.

I finished off the page with a Journal It's Date Strip over a small strip of washi tape and a scatter of wood chip hearts.

Here's where you will find all the goodies I've used on my page...

Thanks for stopping by :) I hope you'll come back tomorrow to see how I have used more D-lish Scraps goodies to create a page for my Project Life album.

Ozzie Kids by Kylie Cornish

Hi Kylie here again!

For sometime now in my stash of D-lish goodies I have had these awesome Aussie Flag Buttons and I have waited for the perfect photo to be taken on Australia day. Well thanks to my teenagers and them taking selfies on my iPhone I got the perfect photo to scrap of this years Australia day!

"Ozzie Kids"

On this layout I used the Aussie Flag Buttons,  Plastic Star Buttons (OUT OF STOCK)

I'm so glad that with the aid of modern technology and me leaving my iPhone unattended, I get the chance to create a layout and use a embellishment that has been sitting in my stash for some time now.

Happy Scrapping
Cheers Kylie xx

First Shave by Kylie Cornish

Hello Kylie here again!

Today's layout is a very simple one with not so many embellishments on it, but the ones that are sure make a statement on this layout and really enhance the page.
This layout was also inspired by a previous D-lish DT lovely Sharmaine Kruijver on one of her latest layouts.

I really wanted the photo of my son shaving for the first time to pop on this page, so to do that I keep it quite simple.

I used  Monochrome Pattern Flair, and Skipping 5 - Puffy Things - Arrows to embellish near the photo and  Washi Tape - Black Arrows (OUT OF STOCK) behind the photo.

Journal It's - Chalk Bubble Words are the perfect embellishment to help get that all important story on to the page with the help of Motex Tape  too.

It feels good to add this milestone to my sons album, as that's the job of a scrapper to record those simple milestones in our families lives even the silly ones...oh and I wont tell him that you all know about the first time he shaved. ;)

Happy Scrapping
Cheers Kylie xx

Crazy Loom Craze by Kylie Cornish

Hi Kylie here today, super excited to share my first lot of work for D-lish this month!

So who out there has heard of Looms? I recon most of your would have, and would have containers of these tiny little rubber bands floating around your house. We sure do! Both my girls are addicted to the Loom craze! They both have more loom bracelets than places they can wear them.

I knew straight away with this layout that it needed to be bright just like the loom bands. What more perfect embellishment to use, than the new Enamel Instaframes - Neon from Pinkfresh Studio and the awesome Wire that Amanda is stocking in store to help create my title.

I decided to also use some of the little bright loom bands on the layout as well, I don't think the girls are going to notice them missing!  Do you?

I loved that I could use quite a variety of bright embellishments all stocked at D-lish and they all match perfectly for this page.

Have you worked with the new wire that is in stock right now?? I loved working with it even though I had to use a leather-man to bend the wire as our modeling pliers are missing...guess who is off on a trip to the craft store to by new ones. I can see this wire being a must have embellishment in anyone's stash.

here is a list of all the  D-lish products used on this layout.

I hope my first layout and post  this month has helped inspire you all, and I look forward to sharing more of my work as I have the pleasure to DT for this awesome store we all love!

Happy scrapping
Cheers Kylie xx

Adore u .. with Alz

Morning!

I have a confession to make. I've scrap lifted myself again. I found a kit left over from the retreat and decided I might as well make use of it right? Except this time I didn't scrap lift the original layout I intended to but, one I made at the retreat (see HERE).

Adore u

I loved the original layout so much I just wanted to have a go at recreating it with different colours and as it's for a different album to the other layout no-one will be any the wiser!!   ;)

This layout is literally groaning under the weight of the pile of D-lish Scraps embellishments I've put on it! I've used various Washi Tapes, a flag from a Flag & Flair Pack which I covered in washi tape, Cotton TwineFlair Buttons from two different packs, Freckled Fawn Dew Drops (both enamel and arrows), a Vellum BagPaper Roses in both mini and small, a Freckled Fawn Paper Clip, a red Azalea, white Daisies which I highlighted with a little Tim Holtz Distress Stickles in Clear Rock Candy, Polka Dot Heart Buttons, retro dot Resin Buttons and Freckled Fawn Wood Chips (birds). What a lot of product!!!

I have another confession to make LOL! I found another kit (the last one I promise!) from the retreat I went on. I'm going to let it sit and gather dust for a while whilst I play with some new products so hopefully you won't be seeing any more of me scrap lifting myself for a wee while!

Until next time .. hasta la vista scrappers!   :)

A kraft love affair .. with Alz

Morning peeps!

Being a mixed media scrapper, you could pretty much hand me any piece of cardstock (in neutral tones please!!!) or patterned paper (in neutral tones please!!!) and I'll be a happy scrapper. LOL .. neutral tones please!!! One of my favourite neutral cardstocks to work with (other than the oh so versatile white) is kraft.  I simply cannot get enough of it. I love it. Today I'm sharing two DT layouts I have recently created for the Kraft It Up challenge blog.

Who are you
published in Scrapbooking Memories Issue 17 No. 4

Again, lots of mixed media, enhanced beautifully by the following D-lish Scraps embellishments .. ivory and latte Silk & Organza Mini Heirloom FlowersCarnations (these are a new favourite of mine), black Small Roses and black Motex tape. Not a lot of embellishments, but all it took was those very few.

My next layout, again created with a mixed media background, has a lot more D-lish Scraps embellishments on it!

Imagine

"Imagine" was a really fun layout to create. I love that whilst it is embellishment heavy, it doesn't have that overloaded look. Or am I just kidding myself LOL?! "Imagine" comprises the following D-lish Scraps embellishments .. black Motex tape, gold glitter tape from a retired Just Add Paper Kit (you'll find all sorts of gems in these kits), a black Resin Forget Me Not and a black Resin BirdPVC Doilies, black and white Silk & Organza Mini Heirloom Flowers, white Bitty Blooms, brown Carnations, and black Sequins which I have removed from the strand.

So what am I sharing tomorrow you ask? I guess you'll just have to wait and see. Meanwhile I might try out a new 'sign off' ..

Hasta la vista .. Alz   :)

A time to remember .. with Alz

I'm baaaaack!

I honestly cannot tell you how thrilled and excited I am to have been invited back by Amanda for another DT term with D-lish Scraps!!! This time around I'm going to morph into some kind of parasitic bug that does all good and no harm, so she can never get rid of me!!! Seriously though a girl can only wish right?!

I hope I didn't bore you entirely senseless last month, sharing layouts I had scrap lifted of myself whilst at e2c because I must confess, I have just one more to share.

A time to remember

Believe it or not but this layout was inspired by quite an old one of mine .. Soft Kitty. But this is what I enjoyed so much about scrap lifting myself .. I was able to take a design from 2012 and with new materials and techniques I've picked up since then, bring it in to the present!

Of all the kits I took to e2c, this was one of the bulkiest as it had a veritable mountain of D-lish Scraps embellishments on it! I've used Washi tape, a flag from the Aqua/Teal Flag & Flair Pack which I covered in washi tape, grey Hand Dyed Muslin, a flair from the Vintage Boy Flair ButtonsPVC Doilies, blue Small Paper RosesFreckled Fawn Wood Chips (Houses & Hearts), a Wood Filigree Heart, a navy Shabby Chiffon Rose, and Aqua Paper Violas.

I still have a few kits left over so keep an eye out for more scrap lifted layouts and if I happen to inspire you to scrap lift something of your own, please, do share it with me!

I'll be back tomorrow with some kraft lovin' so til then .. happy scrapping!!!

Easter Card by Leanne

Hi Leanne here back with my last share for this month, Wishing you all a happy and Safe Easter and I hope you're all enjoying the Easter break and that the Easter Bunny brings you lots of chocolate. Well thought I would bring you a vintage Easter card today seeing I have no photo's to do a layout in. I made a box card, which You could put little Easter eggs in side and hold them in place with good glue dots and give as a little Easter gift to someone. I covered the card front and back with papers and did some fussy cutting and mounted the flowers on the front. My D-lish goodies I used on my card was the vintage Easter Journal tags which I mounted onto acetate to give it some stability. I've also used a D-lish resin white bird and some tea stain hand dyed muslin. My D-lish flowers were the blue mixed size roses the small yellow and white roses and the mini pink roses from D-lish.

Enjoy your Easter break everyone till next time
cheers!

3 Things I love!

Hi D-Lish fans Leanne back with my second share with you, today I'm bringing lots of D-Lish goodies for you. Here is a layout I did on black cardstock well it didn't start out that way but ended up this way lol!.This was one of my girls Alannah's dancing photo from last year, I just love this photo of her she is so easy to scrap very photogenic. I don't like to play favourites with my kids but she always gives me nice photo's. So I decided to do the 3 things I love about her that's her smile, her humor and those beautiful eyes. I've used lots out of the D-lish Tropical Twist paper add on kit in this layout, the hot pink coloured wire I made a number 3 which is above my journaling and I made a swirly flourish and heart as well. Next to my journaling I have used some yellow hand dyed Muslin and a yellow forget me Knot and some orange bitty blooms.

I've done lots of layering under my photo as well as using the orange spot washi tape from the Tropical twist kit, I used the hot pink glitter tape and used my scalloped punch to give it a nice edge you would have to make sure your punch is very sharp to get through it. In my cluster at the bottom of my photo I used some D-lish hand dyed orange seam binding, hot pink bitty blooms, pink sequin bow, white resin butterfly and my favourite D-lish flowers mini roses in orange and hot pink, love my D-lish flowers can't have enough of them in your stash.

My cluster in the corner I have used one of the D-lish scalloped calenders  the wooden hearts and forget me knot flower and smile flair button are from the Tropical twist kit. And to finish off some yellow twine and a pink daisy resin flower. Well that's all folks said I had lots of D-lish goodies to share with you today.
cheers!

Hi D-Lish fans its Leanne here with my first share as design team member for D-Lish for the next 6months. I'm very happy to be apart of this great team and hope to inspire you with some of my projects. Today I'm sharing a layout on a white background with pretty bright colours, I used some stitched border stamps around my white cardstock and some distressing. I've used other background stamps as well as more border stamps, then some layering with border strips and elements. I just love this photo no-one in particular I know but super cute and was perfect for the papers I was using, I like to scrap other peoples photo's and of course my own when I get round to printing them.

My lovely D-lish goodies I have used on this page is the Resin Butterflies, I have used the yellow as well as the pink ones with the flowers on them I love these one of my favourite's.

My other D-lish goodies were the pink Bitty Bows, pink wild rose and the yellow forget me Knot flowers from the Tropical Twist just add paper kit.  I have used a resin daisy and  a pearl cabochon heart just under the little banner as well as some yellow twine below my photo.
