Spin - with Beth

My second layout for March! This one is titled Spin and it is of my husband and daughter playing 'helicopters' in the front yard.

I adore this photo of them.

Well, that's my last D-lish Scraps post for a while. I have absolutely loved working with the D-lish products and the amazing Amanda. I love every layout I have created while I was a part of the team. I wish the next round of DT girls all the very best.

Thank you to the readers of this blog for taking the time to look at my layouts. I sincerely appreciate it.

Hugs - with Beth

Here is the first of my March shares.

I did indeed use a technique this month. I created a wire word.

To do this, I first wrote my word on a scrap piece of paper and then I laid the wire on top and started bending it to form the word. This wire bends really easy. To attach it to my layout, I just used Dimensional Magic, but any other strong, clear liquid adhesive would do.

Materials list:

Washi Masking Tape - Orange/Grey/Teal Chevron

Love .. with Alz

Good morning all!

Guess what I have to share with you today? What's that? Another scrap lifted layout I created at e2c? Am I that predictable LOL?!?!!! Well you're right!

If you haven't figured out which layout I've scrap lifted then there is seriously something wrong with you! Well not really LOL but why not have a look at the first layout in this post. It's easy to see where I got my inspiration from and I remember saying I would probably pull apart another Canvas Bloom some time soon although in this instance I didn't also use the intact Canvas Bloom as well.

As with my layout "Love this face" I have used products from last month's Just Add Paper Kit (Love is …). It was such an easy kit to work with. I've also added a Canvas Bloom in raspberry, a white Silk & Organza Heirloom Flower, black Sequins which I pulled off the strand, red Hand Dyed Muslin, red Motex tape, various Journal ItsFreckled Fawn wood chips (Birds and Hearts), black Resin Forget Me Nots, black and red Small Paper Roses and red Mini Rosebuds.

Moving on, I can't quite believe the past six months have flown right by and that this is my last post for this term of my design team work for D-lish Scraps!! Amanda has been an absolute pleasure to design for, and the team have been a great source of inspiration not only for you the D-lish fans, but also for each other. I've enjoyed working along side each and every one of them. But (there's always as a but LOL) as Arnie once said .. hasta la vista baby ..

Til we meet again, happy scrapping!!!   :)

Cherish .. with Alz

'Tis me again with another layout from e2c to share.

Do you recognise this one? Perhaps this will help to jog your memory?! I've used my preferred mixed media 'formula' and with just a few D-lish Scraps embellishments created what I believe to be a stunning layout. And yes LOL, it's okay to admit when you're happy with your own work!!!   ;)

Although I haven't used many D-lish Scraps embellishments on my layout, the few I have are the perfect 'cherries on top' for this page .. black Sequins which I removed from the strand, a black Silk & Organza Mini Heirloom Flower, black and white Small Roses and the off-cut of a black Chevron Bag.

So that's three examples of me having scrap lifted myself. Although yes, admittedly, until one of the layouts is published (and can be shared again) you won't quite be able to tell. But have I tempted you to have a go at scrap lifting yourself yet? I hope so. It's a lot of fun, a quick way to scrap and honestly, do we have to reinvent the wheel every single time we sit down to create?

See you all tomorrow!   :)

Love this face .. with Alz

Heh peeps!

I'm back with another instalment of my e2c scrap marathon! Honestly, I've been on lots of retreats and achieved diddly-squat. Over four days at e2c I not only completed the four classes (which were fabulous by the way) but I also created five of my own layouts!! That's right .. five layouts and we know I'm not exactly a 'simple' scrapper LOL! Oh how I have tried to scrap in a clean, graphic, simple way and oh how I have failed! But I digress. Want to know the secret of scrapping successfully on retreat? Well stay tuned ..

Love this face

I wonder if you notice anything familiar about this page at all? Aside from the bevy of D-lish Scraps products including lots of delicious goodies from last month's Just Add Paper Kit (Love is …), a Vellum bag, red Motex tape and PVC doilies?

Perhaps this might help .. scroll to the second layout in this blog post and what do you see? I've scrap lifted myself!!! Scrap lifting myself was the magic key to packing for the retreat. I went through the photos of recent(ish) layouts on my Mac and selected the ones which were my favourites. I printed them two to an A4 page, cut the A4 sheet in half and then started looking for photos that would suit the basic design of the pages. Once I had those paired up it was a very simple process of then looking at each original layout (well the printed copy of it) and working out what I needed to pack for each kit. Cardstock, patterned paper and embellishments all went in the kit but the mixed media stuff was packed individually in ziplock bags. So I would know which mixed mediums belonged to each layout, I made a note of them on my printed copy of the layout. It also helped me to save space at the table as I only had to have out exactly what I needed for each layout and not my entire packed stash.

Of all the kits I created, this layout is the one that has most turned out like the original. Its the same but different. I love that by scrap lifting myself I've created yet another original layout for my albums which is all mine! Yesterday's layout (Friends) looks nothing like my original layout but the layering of the flowers and placement of my embellishments was definitely inspired by that first layout.

So there you have it .. the secret's out of the bag. Oh and of course I packed waaaaay too many kits LOL so in the future I look forward to showing you more ways you can scrap lift yourself. Whether you're going to be away from home to scrap or you are just a little stuck for mojo, going back over your previous body of work and being inspired by your previous creations is definitely one way to go!

Until tomorrow!!!   :)

Friends .. with Alz

It feels like forever since I last chatted with you! I've been away in South Australia for 10 days where I was fortunate to attend the e2c retreat in Port Lincoln. I'm very excited over the coming days to share the exclusive D-lish Scraps layouts I created whilst on retreat. I was actually quite productive which is rare (very rare!!) for me, but I've finally figured out the secret for scrapping away from home. Whether it be a crop, a girlfriend's or a full-blown retreat. I'll share that secret with you in the coming days, but first ..

Today I'm sharing a layout I created of my niece and her best friend whilst they were away in Fiji. Its just a casual shot and not a lot about the photo exactly 'screams Fiji' so I thought I might just make it 'scream Fiji' by using a very strong tropical colour theme with lots and lots of flowers.

Amongst the many beautiful embellishments you'll find on my page are Hand-dyed Muslina PVC doily (I promise it is tucked away in there!), Freckled Fawn Wood Chips (Arrows, Birds, Stars & Such), Freckled Fawn Dew Drops (Ombre Yellow), paper Forget Me Nots in white, Paper Daisies in Sunset and Turquoise and finally, clear Motex tape.

A quick tip when you have some beautiful flowers you want to stand out from the bunch .. create a layer of smaller flowers over which to add your larger and/or prettier flowers. It helps to create the look of lots of flowers without hiding the ones you particularly like. Also I added a little Tim Holtz Distress Stickles to the Sunset Daisies for a little sparkle. I didn't add anything to the Turquoise Daisies as then it would have looked too much but certainly adding just that little sparkle added a lot to the layout overall.

I don't want to give away too much just now but .. do you remember this layout I did of my girlfriend's little girl with her nunna? Well you can't see it because its out for publishing but all will be revealed tomorrow .. maybe!   ;)

Chat to you soon (tomorrow actually)!!

Puppy Love (by Kayla)

Kayla here with a slightly belated post as my life as a new Mum caused some delays with my scrapbooking this month. Every minute I get to scrapbook is certainly very precious at the moment.

I created the below page about my niece (who is now 17 months old!) when she was just a tiny baby. She has a very close relationship with her labrador Barney, so really enjoyed scrapbooking it!

Pink Washi Tape

I really enjoyed making this page and hope you enjoyed it! :)

Birthday Cards - with Karyn!

Last month I made some backgrounds for scrapbook pages using mists, stencils and stamps. I loved the look so much I thought I'd make some cards using the same techniques.

For the first 2 cards I used the remaining goodies from my Lilac haze Just Add Paper Kit from D-lish Scraps

For this 1st card I used one of the nested frames (sprayed with purple Dylusions), a flair, lavender resin butterfly, aqua bitty bloom, and a purple cabachon Resin Flower.
For the second card I used a chevron button, purple mini metal flower, lavender bitty bow, purple resin flower and aqua bitty bloom.
For the 3rd card I used a large seagreen Old Fashioned Rose, green cabachon Resin Floweran aqua Viola, and a funky heart Wooden button.
For my last card I used one of the nested frames from the Lilac haze Just Add Paper Kit (sprayed with teal Dylusions), large seagreen Old Fashioned Rose, blue cabachon Resin Floweran aqua Viola, and a funky heart Wooden button

Hello There - with Karyn!

Hi D-Lish Lovelies!

It's Karyn here with another scrapbook page filled with D-Lish Scraps goodies to inspire you.

This page showcases some of my mixed media skills lol! I wanted some earthy tones to go with the photos from a wildlife park but I also wanted to jazz it up a bit with some fun papers.

I started by spraying my page with some brown, black and blue Dylusions sprays. I didnt really like how it turned out so I put my papers over most of it. I then added a few different stencils with texture paste, then some stencils with inks.

I tore some paper for the top and bottom of the page. If you look closely you will see that it is all from the same piece of paper and also my paper pad was only 6x6 - but I dont think you can really tell.

I layered lots of paper under my photo as well as adding a paper doilie, chevron bag and shipping tag (all staples for me!).

Now it was time to add lots of D-lish Scraps yumminess! I used a cream Forget Me Not, white Daisy, yellow polkadot buttonyellow Crocheted Mini Bloom, a wooden deer button and a yellow resin forget-me-not.
I also added a yellow wooden daisywhite bitty blooms, Freckled Fawn wood chips hearts, arrow, birds, & clouds.
Along the bottom I added Freckled Fawn dew drops silver arrow paperclip, chevron Journal SpotTicket Tab, and stamped the date with my Pebbles roller date stamp.
I had some little chalkboards in my stash so I wrote the title on with a chalkboard pen and I attached with some string and a mini peg. Then I accented with a wooden asterisk, a yellow Resin cabachon and a pink resin 2-toned daisy.

Lovely - with Karyn!

Hi D-Lish Lovelies!

It's Karyn here with a scrapbook page to show you today

Lately I've seen a few pages being done with white embellishments on black paper - I think it looks stunning!! So I gave it a go myself. I printed out a black and white photo of my daughters year 7 graduation to keep with my black and white only colour scheme.
I wanted to add some large white paint splats so I thought about my photo placement and did these first. I used some white paint I had in a squeeze bottle with a sponge dauber on the top. I made sure there was plenty of paint on the dauber and spritzed it with water, then splat really hard on to my page. I will warn you that this is a messy business and although I had a 3 sided cardboard box that I do my misting in I really needed a 4 sided one as paint went all over me and behind me on the wall and floor!! Then I also added some little spats of white Dylusions from the spray bottle.
Once this had all dried I added my embellishments - all from D-lish Scraps. After I attached my photo I added some silver star mini sequins and clear sequins. I like to scatter the sequins across the page (to give a random look) and dot glue next to them, then I use a Clever Sequin Pick-up Pencil to place the sequins on the glue - easy.
I also added some white embroidery thread that I had tried to scrunch and knot randomly, and white Forget Me Not.
There is some gorgeous coloured wire in the D-Lish store at the moment. I have bought all of the colours! It is so easy to bend and I made this gorgeous "lovely" title for my page with the silver wire. I like to write out my title on paper first then you can easily bend the wire following the shape of your writing.

I also added a flower from the All That Glitters Just Add Paper kit, another white Forget Me Not, a white mini PVC doilie, and a charm from my stash..
Finally I added some Mini Alphas and another white Forget Me Not.

Thanks so much for stopping byCrafty Hugs xx

Last Share with Sophie {Layout and Cards with Wire Embellishments}

Hi again, how are we all!
I am here with my last share. I have had a fabulous time making layouts and designing projects to share with you all.
I hope they have inspired you to head over to the store and pick up some goodies to create along with me.

Firstly I have a layout for you!
I have based the colour scheme around two gorgeous washi tapes I found at the store- navy and teal! I love this combo!

I also love these embossed stickers from Pink Paislee that are available at D-lish Scraps. I love that they add a subtle texture against white card stock.
I also created two different embellishments with the wire which has recently be added to the store.
The heart and the feathers.
For the heart simply mould the wire to your desired shape. Take a piece of tissue paper (at least twice the size of the shape) and cover one side with gesso or glue. Lay the wire shape on the covered side and fold tissue paper over the wire. Spray with mist.
For the feathers lay down a piece of wire. Tear evenly sized pieces of washi tape and place them next to each other over the piece of wire. Carefully turn over and repeat. Cut out your desired shape and trim wire if necessary. Snip edges of your feather.

Products I've used:
Freckled Fawn Cork Frames
Freckled Fawn Wood Chips- Stars & Such
Coloured Wire- Gold
Hand Dyed Muslin- Navy
Washi Masking Tape- Navy Feathers
Washi Masking Tape- Teal Swallows
Tutu Bloom- Turquoise
Cherry Blossoms- Mint
Medium Roses- Blue
Embossed Sticker Borders
Cardstock Frames- Circle
Daisy Resin

Next up I have some cards, including an Easter themed one (which is fast approaching). To make it easy I decided to use products and colours I had used on my layout.
You can't beat a shaker box on a card and these cork frames are perfect for creating this. I backed the 'HI' frame with washi tape and filled with it with wood chips and sequins. A perfect male card.
As you can see though this colour combo is gender neutral. It all depends on what shapes and embellishments you add to your project.
Additional products used:

Thanks for looking. Thanks for all your kind comments over the last 6 months and a BIG thank you to Amanda for allowing me to create with your wonderful products to inspire others.
I have had a ball!!

Share with Sophie {Frame}

Hey guys!
As you've probably figure out this month is my last at D-lish Scrap blog. *sad face*
Today I am sharing something a bit different.

I had purchased an old frame from an antique store a few years back and had always planned to paint it.
I finally got around to it a few days before I left for Uni and while doing so I decided I wanted to transform it like you see below.
I then remembered that the products I had ordered from D-lish would be perfect to complete this project.

It is simple, not focusing on much 'scrapping' but I think it makes a lovely addition to my room.

I used the fabulous wire available at the store. Two metres was plenty for this project. I measured the width of the frame, then cut FOUR pieces of that size. I double it up to add strength as the wire is quite thin.
To add the flowers I twisted the stem on the back a couple times to make a loop. The loop should be secured against the back of the flower! Not poking out otherwise it will hang facing down.
I then threaded one piece of wire through a flower before threading the other. Try threading them through different gaps in the loop to make it more secure.
I also threaded a few buttons onto the wire and also added some washi tape.
To finish it off I used the tiny pegs from D-lish to hang some photo, some of which I've placed in front of other goodies from the store.

D-lish products I've used:
Coloured Wire (I used silver but I think pink would've looked even better!)

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow for the final time!

Final Design team share with Kaitlynne

Hi there D-Lish fans!!
Kaitlynne here...for my last design team share (insert sad face!) I can't believe how quickly my time here has passed. I have loved every minute of it. From the shopping, goodies in the mail and then the endless creating. All in all it has been an absolute dream!
So on that note I thought I'd finish off by sharing 2 double page SMASH shares.
How to embellish quickly & easily.
My style has changed recently, I need to scrap quickly, I have a minimal and journaling is a must!
My first page uses a few embellies with maximum effect.
By sticking to a few main colours and teaming with black, this spread was done in a flash.

The hero of this page is the aqua blue chevron bag. Not only is it a great page filler, it holds quite a few photos too!
My favourite motto - 'If in doubt, add washi' always works in my book and on this page I have added quite a few different colours.
My second page, simple and sweet.
D-lish Scraps stocks some awesome chipboard which is so versatile. The possibilities are endless as to how you decorate it. I used a heart chipboard pack and covered it with liquid pearls for a beautiful shell like effect.
Bitty blooms have been my all time fave from D-Lish, teamed with some washi and this double was done in a snap!
I hope that I have been able to show you that you don't need to spend a fortune to create something beautiful, and if you can get it done quickly its even better!
I used the following D-Lish embellies:
I want to finish by Thanking you for dropping in each month to see my D-Lish creations. I've loved working with the other girls on the team, they really are amazing!
To keep in touch with me, you can check out my work HERE.

March Inspiration Board Challenge

Today is extra exciting! Not only are we revealing our March board, but also our first reveal from our new Autumn Creative Team. These ladies have already been working away behind the scenes for over a month now and are well on their way to creating samples for our April challenge. If you missed the reveal on facebook yesterday be sure to check out the line up. You can find all the lucky ladies' details under the Creative Team Tab at the top of the page.

Now lets get straight into the board reveal and then we'll have a look over the wonderful sample pages that have been created.

Introducing Tropical Twist!

A bright palette of ombre pinks, yellows and oranges! Something sure to keep those looming winter blues at bay. Lots of pretty flowers, textures and patterns make up this board and the possibilities are endless! As always, if you need a kick start, we've included the optional sketch to get you going.

Now on to our Creative Team samples.

Imp by Catie Kennedy

Catie's used the sketch teamed up with her clever mixed media background to create this stunning sample page.

50th Birthday Cake by Judith Armstrong

Judith has taken inspiration from the balloons to create her spotty background. A perfect colour combo for her photo too!

Lazy Afternoon by Michelle Stokes

Michelle has scrapped in 8 1/2 x 11 for her page. Sticking with the colour palette and some inspiration from a page by Maggie Holmes to create her stunning sample.

Favourite by Raquel Bowman

Instantly inspired by the bright colour palette Raquel has created this gorgeous page. Her background, made with gelatos, really catches the eye.

Gosh You're Awesome by Sandra Scott

Sandra has followed the provided sketch to create this striking layout. The black title really pops against the white and bright colours.

Always Smiling by Tait Gray

There's so much to love about Tait's sample layout. Her circle filled background was inspired by the balloons from the board and she has tediously filled each and every one to create a gorgeous ombre effect.

Unforgettable by Tracey Wilson

Tracey has also followed the sample sketch to create her page. Using some pretty flowers from the store along with some glittered chipboard butterflies to embellish.

Hello by Tarrah McLean

With no patterned paper other than the background, Tarrah has used a series of embellishments in the palette to create her gorgeous sample layout.

I truly hope that you find our March board inspiring as we would love for you all to join in this month. Remember that the winner receives a $30 D-lish Scraps store voucher to spend and also one lucky entrant will win next month's 'Just Add Paper' kit!

Full details for the challenge can be found in the tab at the top of the page.

Hope to see your entry soon xx
