Final DT Inspiration - Michelle

Hi everyone

It is my last share here at D-lish Scraps and I can honestly say I am truly sad to be finishing up.   I've had an AMAZING time working alongside the other DT members and with Amanda.

Thank you so much for having me be part of the D-lish team !!

Right so today I have 3 layouts to share with you.

My first layout is one I actually created for a New Zealand kit company where I was lucky enough to have get canvas cuts in my GDT kit.  Of course, I also added a few more D-lish details too:

My next layout has lots of gorgeous layering.  I really love the chevron bags in store but they are quite bright and to ensure it didn't out shine my photo I decided to use it under a vellum bag to add another pop of colour under my photo. I then added my journaling to the tag with the Happy Memories Spool top sentiment circle:

My third layout features some of new style Freckled Fawn wood veneer arrows in store.

I hope you have enjoyed my inspiration today!  Next up on the blog is Tarrah so make sure you check back for her blog post soon.

Final Design Team Share with Sharmaine

My final hoorah
My final D-lish blog post as part of the design team.
It has been an absolute honour to be able to share with you and I want to thank Amanda for being such a wonderful boss to work for.
I’ve loved D-lish since Amanda opened the metaphorical doors and I’ve been grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing team.
I’ve just a few things to share with you before I leave though.
With Christmas fast approaching I made some Christmas tags, using Scrapmatts chipboard and products from D-lish Scraps.
IMG_9012
They are simple tags. I covered the chipboard with some Washi Masking Tape - Vintage Newsprint and half a gold paper doily
IMG_9013
I then used some Motex tape, in my Dymo labeller, to add a sentiment
IMG_9015
Easy!!!
And my final creation to share with you…
Drum roll…

And have you seen the brand new Skipping 5 “Puffy Things”?
There are 12 different packs available in store!

Another very cool new thing in store are the wooden glasses!
And I backed my photo with one of the new Chevron bags

Available in black and pink
Very cool!
Well, thank you all again for allowing me to share my creations with you.
All the very best to the new D-lish team, can’t wait to see your amazing work.

Raquel Bowman - Design Team Share

Raquel's Blog: A Blessed Life

Hello everyone,

Today I am here to share a few layouts I have created using my D-lish Scraps goodies. Sadly this will be my last Design Team post with D-lish Scraps before the new lucky Design Team members take over.

I can truly say that I have LOVED every minute of being on this team! The support and generosity of Amanda and the other Design Team girls is like no other. PLUS, lucky me has been given the chance to play with absolutely gorgeous supplies every month.

One of my favourite this has been oogling the gorgeous new supplies in store and then waiting with much anticipation for the goodies to hit my mail box. D-lish mail day always is such fun as the products seem to immediately inspire me to get creating. Here are few of my goodie box mail days. Doesn't it make you want to rush to the D-lish Store and fill your cart with such awesome embellies?!?

Anyways - time to share some creations!
My first layout is one I created for Jot Magazine. I was itching to use the gorgeous sequin heart and new canvas pick and place bows. To create the background of this layout, I actually typed my wedding vows onto plain cardstock in grey to coordinate with the colours of the layout and to suit the actual theme also.

D-lish Products used:

Other:
Paper: White cardstock, Black Cardstock, My Minds Eye patterned paper, AC Amy Tangerine patterned paper, Glitz Design patterned paper.
Alphabet: Silhouette Studio cut files.
Embellishments: Websters Pages Transparency, Bitty Chevron Bag, Handmade Vellum tag, American Crafts glitter tape.
Other: Sewing Machine and white thread, Grey Gelato, Black india ink, Date Stamp, Black Archival Ink.

Here is a close up of the stunning sequin heart and also one of the natural mini pegs which I covered with a black glitter tape that I had in my stash.

Aren't these new 'pick and place canvas bows' just to die for!?! One of my fave embellies lately is a bow and these are so cute. I simply attached it with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. I have also used white bitty blooms and a few Freckled Fawn enamel dots.

The second layout I have to share is another one I created for Jot Magazine. The D-lish goodies on this layout really finish it off, thats certainly what I love about them!

D-lish Products used:

Other Products Used:
Paper: White Card stock, Teresa Collins patterned paper, Carta Bella patterned paper, Fancy Pants patterned paper.

Embellishments: A Piece of Cake Designs Cherry Flair button,  Carta Bella stickers, Studio Calico printables, Studio Calico wood veneer, sequins, Doily, paperclip and ribbon.
Other: Typewriter, Becky Higgins date stamp, Black Archival Ink, Sewing machine and white thread, Studio Calico Mint Julep Mister Huey Mist, Tim Holtz tiny attacher and staples.

I was aiming to keep this layout sweet and 'light, the D-lish resin matched my colourings perfectly.

Can you tell how much I love the Pick and Place Canvas bows and the Freckled Fawn enamel dots!?!

The last page I have to share is one I created just for fun of my little girl. I just love love these photos. One of these photos is my absolute fave as she was clapping and just so happy. I love the others also as it shows how 'busy' she is all the time. She will never just sit there, there is always something she is playing with or getting stuck into, lol.
For this layout share I want to show just how perfect D-lish Scraps goodies can finish off a layout. For this layout all I basically used was a selection of papers, an alpha sheet and my D-lish box of goodies.
Here is how this layout came to be:
* I started by misting and using modelling paste on my background and allowing to dry. I then layered my papers, photos and added my title.

* Then I added some machine stitching

* I then delved into my D-lish Scraps box of goodies in search of coordinating products. I know there is a lot there, I am truly addicted!

* This is what I found to match. When I create I always dig through my stash to find embellishments that may work on the page I am creating.

*Then I started embellishing my page.

The new Journal It's - Bubble Words are quite versatile. I used one for its intended purpose. And another one I cut off bottom so it formed an over and used it as a label.

* I planned to use the Mini Sequin Jar - Hearts - Hot Pink  and was going to create some kind of pocket for them. Then I had a wild idea of gluing them on individually. Lucky I had my Clever Sequin Pick-up Pencil

* The pencil and a bit of glossy accents works a treat :)

Here is the finished layout :)
D-lish Products Used:
Journal It's - Bubble Words
Mini Sequin Jar - Hearts - Hot Pink
Pick 'n' Place Bows - Fancy Edge

Enamel Dew Drops - Ombre Yellow

Mini Two Tone Daisies Grab Bag
Mini Roses - Red/White
Wood Chips - Hearts
Washi Tape - Triangle
