May DT Inspiration with Michelle

I hope everyone is warm and dry inside - here in NZ we are having a cold snap and it sure is starting to feel like winter!

For my latest DT inspiration -  I have two layouts and an OTP to share with you all.  I can honestly say I am having so much fun with all the new products that have arrived in store lately.  Each month I have so much I want to choose and it is hard not to have all the gorgeous products come and live with me at my house.

On my first layout I have used canvas cuts two ways.  First, I have used a heart and a star in their natural form - I layered these two pieces so that the star is offset inside the heart and one of my favourite ways to adhere my embellishments is to actually staple them!  I love how using the staple in the middle of the star adds another element to the embellishment cluster.  I have also covered two butterfly canvas cuts with sequins to give them a sparkly girly effect.  This is also super easy to do - I covered the entire canvas cut with a clear glue by Helmar and then just stuck the sequins down until I was happy with the coverage.  Another thing I find I am doing a lot of my layouts at the moment is cutting embellishments in two and slipping them under my photos in two parts which I have done this with the pink scalloped calendar.   Last of all I have included some cute grey chevron washi tape under my heart cut out that I made on my Silhouette Cameo.

I had lots of fun with mist and masks on my next layout - I use texture paste a lot on my layouts and here I have used the texture paste as glue to randomly place the sequins onto my page.  I created my title by using a mix of the chipboard that can be found in store.  I first misted the small chipboard hearts with silver mist and then added the 'adore' chipboard word on to the top of the hearts.  I was super excited to get some of the new Freckled Fawn products and my new Motex last month and loved adding the little arrow and camera paper clips and of course the Motex made my journaling so quick and easy too.

My last share is banner I made for youngest daughter Aimee to go above her cot in her room.  I really wanted to make it girly, flowery and fun.  I created the base of the pennant banner itself using a combination of a banner shape cut out on my Silhouette Cameo as well as a the pennant die by Nestabilities,  on top of this I have  layered lots of repetitive elements from my stash of D-lish products.

Close ups of the individual pennants:

That's all from me for another month.  I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post and I can't wait to reveal my new creations in another post soon.

Catch up with Kate! MAY

Hi everyone!

I have been loving all the blog posts by the designers lately, wow D-lish Scraps has truly outdone itself with the amount of talented ladies on the team. Full of inspiration and creativity. Be sure to become a follower of D-Lish Scraps blog and keep an eye out on the Facebook page for up to date news on the store and all the fun new products and projects we have going on.

I wanted to share something really fun and special today.
I created this canvas recently and it sits pride of place on my entertainment unit.

Lots of layers of papers, washi tape, die cut cardstock, corrugated cardboard (from some packaging), paint, ink, stamping, transparencies, flowers, etc etc. The chipboard heart I have painted in a few different colours. I loved how perfect this washi tape was for the 'sky' with the clouds and the hearts. D-lish Scraps has a LARGE array of colours and patterns when it comes to washi masking tape, you can be sure to find something perfect for your project to coordinate beautifully.

Felt Blossoms
Chipboard- Mini Hearts
Vintage Roses 3cm
Washi Masking Tape
Hydrangea Petals
Flourish with a Bling Grace Flourish Latte (I used the individual pearls cut from it)

NOTE: the little mint green crochet heart was from a Just Add Paper Kit previously sold at D-lish Scraps. Whenever these kits are up for grabs you should definitely buy them! They are CHOCK a BLOCK full of embellishments and one-off creations like this. Great to add to your stash.

Thanks for stopping by, I am really looking forward to doing my very last post next month and sharing the final projects from my design team term here at D-Lish Scraps :)

Love Kate x

Hello everyone, hope the Autumn weather has been treating you kindly. Soon winter and the long cold nights will be upon us.

Speaking of new goodies.. have you seen the Freckled Fawn wood chips? Were you one of the fortunate people who purchased some before it sold out?? Amanda has more on it’s way, as well as some gorgeous new veneer shapes.

I’ve also used some Bright Star buttons, Black Bold polka dot washi tape,

Red Snowflake washi tape and an Owl on a Branch charm.
I’ve also used some Black Motex Tape for my journal strips.

The next page I have to share with you was inspired by the May Show Us Your Stuff challenge, using texture paste.

I’ve used some of the Freckled Fawn "Cloud" wood chips

Three different types of washi tape
Red Circles
Grey Repeating Chevron
And my new favourite Typetext
I love how it’s almost see through when you add it to your page and the text is super cool!

Raquel Bowman - May DT Share

Raquel's Blog: A Blessed Life

Hi everyone,

A new month and three new shares for you. This months box of D-lish goodies I received had too many to name awesome products. I honestly love how easy the embellishments just add that final touch to a page and for me, a cluster girl, they are all so perfect!

Here is my first share. As you can tell from my blog posts here, I am a lover of a good challenge blog!  I actually created this one for the May SUYS challenge which requires you to add texture paste somewhere to your layout.

Layout title: Don't cry baby girl

D-lish Products Used:

Forget Me Nots - Hot Pink
Carnations - Pink

Other Products:

I just love the carnations and forget me nots, perfect addition to a girly page!

These wooden buttons are just the cutest, I attach these with a little dab of 'Glossy accents' - this seems to stick any D-lish goody to a page.

My next layout is one I created just for fun. These photos were ones I had taken on a mini photo shoot of my girl.

Layout title: Love you

Rose Pack - Red
Rose Pack - White
Medium Resin Rose Grab Bag
Tiny Heart Button grab Bag

Here are some close ups:

My last layout is one I created for the May Scrap the Girls challenge, and yes, it's another layout of my baby girl. I take so many photos of her that I could scrap all day long everyday and still not have caught up, haha. For this challenge you had to use the quote somewhere on the page. So I decided that I would make her a Life's Lessons series of layouts where I include quotes with inspirational or self affirming statements I hope that she will read, understand and live by when she is older.

D-lish Scraps have some absolutely gorgeous new products in the store. Freckled Fawn products! They sold out super fast but another order is on its way and should be in the store really soon! Yeah! I have used some of the wood chips on this layout.

Layout title: Life's Lesson #1
