Love the bike flair

and the bike page sliders are SUPER COOL!

Other items used:

Peacock Blue Sequins
Did you know that you can purchase a “Clever Sequin Pick Up Pencil” in the D-lish Scraps store??

“Use this handy pick up pencil for placing your loose sequins and rhinestones. No more fiddling with the tweezers! Magically clings, to help you place with ease!”

Raquel's Blog: A Blessed Life

Hello everyone, today I am back to share with you my creations for this month using the gorgeous D-lish Scraps products.

My first layout is one I created for the February Show Us Your Stuff challenge. It highlights how much I love to be in my crafty space creating :)

Layout title: Love 2 Create

If you like the look of some of the products I have used on this layout you can purchase them by clicking the links below :)

D-lish Products used:
Other:White cardstock, kraft cardstock, black card stock, Dear Lizzy Patterned Paper, Dear Lizzy diecuts, A Piece of Cake Designs 'Cherry Flair', American Crafts thickers, October Afternoon Journal Sticker, Staples, Black Thread

Now for some close ups to really 'show off' these gorgeous products!

The gorgeous pale pink resin bird with a couple of individual sequins from the sequin string.

The heart button and gorgeous resin flower cluster (I am really loving these! Can you tell?)

An embellishment cluster which features a mini resin rose, a pink/white forget me not, a metal feather charm and a lovely pink carnation.

For my next layout I decided to use the lovely D-lish products to highlight a newborn photo of my baby girl. I have a couple of photos to demonstrate how I managed to make the FWAB Chloe Flourish seem like it is flowing across the page too further down this post.
Layout title: 2 Days Old

Products used:

D-lish Scraps Products used:

Teresa Collins patterned paper, Crate Paper patterned paper, American Crafts Silver, Glitter Paper, Staples, Twine

Close up of D-lish Products:

The monochrome flair, forget me not and seam binding in pink.

I cut the journal it sentiments spool in half and adhered one top left corner and the other bottom right to help keep the layout balanced.

Here is an quick tutorial for how I made the FWAB flourish flow across the page.

I always try to achieve balance in my layouts, so to place the flourish on one side was not going to happen. I decided to cut a selection of the flourish into pieces as below.

As you can see in the image below I always make sure I plan and place my layout before adhering. I also maximised the use of the tags I cut from my patterned paper by cutting them into two and place part at the top of the photo and the other half at the bottom.

Here is how I placed the pieces of the FWAB Chloe swirl I cut:

I then completed this layout by adhering all the papers and embellishments. My final touch was adding the seam binding bow, which I am now in love with and think I want all the other colours available here too :)

Hope my layouts have inspired you to get creating with the gorgeous D-lish Scraps products available in the store. I am still pinching myself that I was lucky enough to be selected to be a part of this team!

February Design Team Share - Melissa Heather

Happy Monday everyone...

For my first layout share this month, Love These 3, I have used the Valentines Inspired Printables that Amanda has designed, you can get them for FREE here, they are very versatile as you can see my layout isn't a valentines layout and I have still use them easily.  Check out Amandas post here and her mini tutorial!

Head on over to the D-Lish shop using the link above and follow the steps to download, I printed mine on white cardstock and just used a setting for high quality photos and they look fantastic!

I also used the FREE D-Lish Journaling card printable as well, I printed these on to Kraft cardstock.

Also from the D-Lish store I used the Flair Word Bursts - Brights, the Pink Paper Doiley Mini Hearts and Washi Teal Equations.

For this layout, The Sweetest Thing I just wanted to create something pretty and simple, I have used the Cream Paper Doiley mini rounds, Twine - Kraft, Roses Mix Pack - Pink, Journal It's Kraft Ledger and Washi - Coloured Birds on a Wire.

This next layout I just love the colours and also the fact that I didnt use any patterned paper at all!!!
I just used a mix of Washi Tapes as my background and an XL shipping tag to adhere the photo to, most of these products are my favourite D-Lish products ever....
Washi -

Trendy D-Lish + Colour with Tarrah

Hi everyone....Tarrah here with you today to show you what I have been up to with my gorgeous stash of D-Lish products!!
My style of scrapbooking is forever the moment I love to use loads of colour and trendy things!!! So I thought I would share how you can use trendy D-Lish products teamed with heaps of colour!!

In my layout 'My Superhero' I have used quite a few trends that are around in the scrapbooking world right now.
The trends I have used in 'My Superhero' layout are Chevron, Flair Badges, Arrows and Washi Tape.

When I saw those super cute Superhero Flair Badges in the D-Lish Scraps store I knew they would go perfectly with this photo of my eldest in his Superhero dress up costume. When I scrap, I nearly always take the colours from the photo and base my layout around those colours, this makes the photo/s really stand out and that is often why you will find a lot of my layouts with loads of colour....its a reflection of the clothes my kids wear everyday!!
The D-Lish items that I have used on this layout really help to reflect the theme I created and they are:

I love to layer the different shaped Journal It's from D-Lish and they don't always have to include journaling on them, extra embellishments layered over them look great too. My journaling I have included on the Journal It that is hidden in the red chevron pocket.

My next layout that features loads of D-Lish products is my February Creative Team example for the White With 1 challenge.
The WW1 challenge for this month is to use White + Pink + Hearts.
I just wanted to show this one as its a little different from my current scrap style but I still found it so easy to incorporate some delicious D-Lish products on my layout.....

I added the large pink rhinestones to the chipboard bicycle wheel centres.....I love how it makes the bike pop off the page!!!

Finally this is another layout packed with D-Lish goodies as well!!
I have used the very cute Amy Tangerine 'Ready, Set, Go' range for this layout of my eldest boys first day of Kindergarten...although it was 2 years ago now I still have a few of those precious photos to scrap!

The D-Lish products used on this layout are:

Thanks so much for joining me on the D-Lish blog today!! I hope I have inspired you in a little way to get creative!! Be sure to check back next week for more gorgeousness from the other D-Lish Scraps Design Team girls!!
Till next time, happy scrappin and make sure you post all your beautiful creations using D-Lish products to the Facebook page here...we would love to see what YOU have made!!
Have a great Sunday,
Tarrah x

Kim' Kendell DT- Share

Hi its Kim here I was so excited to be asked onto this awesome team and I hope I can inspire you to want to create with this amazing product range.

i am sharing some new and some of my original post from January which I did not share due to a bush fire on our farm.

My first layout is one I just love the colours are awesome  I love the trellis roses and the velvet leaves together they just complement each other so well.

How cute are the fabulous butterfly buttons for filling in the little spots you need to fill on a layout and of cause you cannot go past the Chevron Buttons.

you can see how good the trellis rose looks with the mini heirloom flowers and cosmos daisies

and how cute are these close up and the colour range of the flowers is awesome  you can also bend and mold the velvet leaves as they have wire in the and that gives such an natural look to the leaf.

For my next LO I have chosen to share the family layout I created using Trellis Roses and small shipping tags and I have also used the really cute lady bug buttons

The flowers work so well the older photos.

this is close up of the cluster showing how well everything comes together and compliments.

Freebie time + a mini tutorial

With Valentines Day just around the corner, I thought it was a great opportunity to share a mini tutorial plus offer a freebie for you all! I have designed this awesome Valentine inspired printable for you all to download for FREE and use in your crafty projects!

The super cute ovals are 30mm x 40mm, a perfect fit for our DIY cameo making kit, just $2.00 for a set of 5 from the store. I also added on the sheet some matching journaling cards that measure 2" x 3". You can find the download link for the file in PDF format under the freebies tab on our website. (Please note the TOU on the printable)

As a little 'how to' today I'm going to show you how I made my own cameo using the printables and the finished layout I used it on.

I began by laying out my base, I cut out a frame from my 12x12 paper, and then filled the gap with a contrast colour. I toned down the section where my photos and embellies would go by swiping on a little gesso with a foam brush.

While I had my gesso out I also added a coat to my DIY cameo frame. I wanted to keep mine white, but after you have added the coat of gesso, which acts as a primer, you could paint it any colour to suit your project.

I then carefully adhered the epoxy seal, included in the kit, over the design I wanted to use for my layout. Then all you need to do is carefully cut around the edge and adhere it in the frame.

Here is the finished frame on the page, a very effective technique I'm sure you'll agree. I've also added to the cluster, a 3cm Vintage Rose in coral, a Medium Rose in pink and a Large resin rose from the grab bag (due back in stock next week).

Here's the finished page titled 'Love You Two'

I made a banner using the new Large Wooden Heart shaped buttons and some Cotton Twine in pink & cream.

My second embellishment cluster is made up of another Vintage Rose and Medium Rose, 2 Faceted Heart Beads on Berry pins, a Mint Daisy (new stock to be added soon) and a Glass Heart Cabochon I made. You can find the tutorial for making these cabochons and pins here.

One last close up to show the Paper Heart Doiley and Bicycle Page Slider, both available in the store also.

I hope you enjoyed my little mini tutorial and don't forget to download you FREE printable.

One last thing before I leave you, we need to draw the winner of our Australia Day Blog Hop!

If this is you please email me (link in top of the sidebar over there --->) with your full name and postal address so I can send your Just Add Paper - True Blue kit out to you.

Hope you have all had a relaxing weekend, preferably filled with creativity!

Till next time
Amanda x

Michelle Whorwood - February DT share

Hi everyone,

Hi it's Michelle here -- I'm super excited to be able to finally share my first few layouts that I have created with the gorgeous D-lish products and I'm really honoured to be part of the new D-lish Scraps design team.

The first layout I'm going to share with you today is definitely one of my favourites and it is full to the brim of D-Lish products:

I just love that coral and minty green colour combination - it is so fresh and vibrant and is definitely a colour scheme that is perfect for Spring and Summer photos!  I just love using doilies and on this layout I have used two of the Paper Doiley Mini Heart 4 inch (white) one of which I have changed the colour by giving it a spray with some mist and the other I have kept plain and tucked in under my flower cluster.  I have also used a variety of gorgeous D-lish flowers including the Crochet flower 5cm triple layer - Green, Flower Chiffon Fancy - Apricot, and several of the Vintage Rose 3cm - Coral.   Resin pieces including the Resin Cameo Frame - Aqua (see below) and the Carved Resin heart - White.  To create gorgeous texture on my page I love using seam binding and added two bows one on the embellishment cluster at the top of my layout and also at the top of the resin heart.  at the top of my layout.  Finishing touches to the layout include the Resin Nested Bird - Blue, Heart Cabochons from the Grab Bag and Resin Forget Me Nots.

My next layout has fun bright colour combo.

One of things I love to do with embellishments is to think of interesting ways of layering them on my layouts.  In this layout, I have created a cute scalloped border with a hint of yellow using one of the Journal It's Scalloped Calendars - Yellow and also to create the half circle 'Love you' using the Journal It's Spool Top Sentiments (see detailed photos below).  Other products used are Chevron Buttons Mix C, Resin Flowers - Forget Me Nots, Sequins Aqua Blue and Resin Cameo Frame Round Grey.

My last layout is my challenge entry over at Kraft It Up in which D-lish Scraps is one of the sponsors this month.  I have used another Paper Heart Doiley and a couple more of the Journal It's Spool Sentiments as well as a cute little Resin Bird 9 - dusty pink to hold up my other end of the washing line!

That's all I have to share today... keep watching the blog for more inspiration from the other members of the design team soon.

Take care
