Sharmaine Kruijver–January DT Share

Hello everyone!
Sharmaine here with my first Design Team post.

I’ve been a follower/purchaser/fan of D-lish Scraps since Amanda opened her store. I love all the bits and bobs she stocks and most of my pages have benefited from a D-lish addition!
I’m super thrilled to be able to share my scrap creations with you and hope that you find a little inspiration amongst my pages.
First page I want to share is “Kids in the Kitchen”.

I created this page using loads of Scrapmatts chipboard and wanted to add some splats of colour, enter D-lish!
Orange sequins (I love to pull these off and use one here and there)
Yellow resin flower
Orange Rhinestone

Made With Love Washi Tape
Silver Star Washi Tape

4 inch Mini Heart Paper Doily - White

The next page was created for a Guest Design Team spot for Polly! Scrap kits “Megz *hearts* her 1Z”

Purple isn’t a colour I use so my purple supplies are minimal.
This page called for some purple so I pulled out my
Purple resin flowers

Love it when you can just add a splash of colour so easily!

Yes I know I said I don’t use purple often and here is another purple page! BUT…
The story behind this page, I have recently returned from a trip to CHA (the Craft and Hobby expo held in LA). Prior to CHA I had 2 nights in San Jose with friend.
She made me a cup of green tea and I joked about how I would have to make a scrap page “she made me drink green tea”. I then asked her what colour I should scrap the page. Her reply was green and purple, so green and purple it was to be!

I added some glitter to the Fern Leaves

Pulled off some Olive Sequins
added some resin flowers

The Wooden heart buttons were easy to alter

See easy *wink*
I just love the gorgeous resin daisies too (available in a grab bag!)

and the date was really easy to add too
Using a section of Mini Calendar

And the last page I have to share with you is this simple page.
”This is where the story begins”

I kept is simple because of the large title, cut with my Silhouette Cameo, and because I really wanted the embellishments to shine.
I just love the Filigree Leaves, I just added some patches of white paint

I pulled off some White Sequins and used them as the dots in the title

and lastly I used one of my favourite embellishments
a flair, this one is one of the monochrome patterns in black

I’ve really enjoyed sharing my D-lish creations with you today.

Happy creating

Scrapbooking Memories Aussie Blog Hop!

Happy Australia Day!!

Welcome to the Scrapbooking Memories magazine Australia Day blog hop. We're so glad you found your way here.

With so many great Australian businesses taking part today, you are bound to be filled with inspiration and find many wonderful offers and giveaways as you hop along.

For those that are *new* here I thought I would start by telling you a little about myself and D-lish Scraps.

This is me ^ my name is Amanda Lawrence and I am the owner of D-lish Scraps. I am a work from home mum of 2, Cody (5) and Ellah (21mths). My husband is very supportive of my business {even though it is rapidly encroaching on all his garage space} and can often be found packaging stock on the couch late at night.

D-lish began a little over 3 and a half years ago when I first noticed a hole in the market, for beautiful, yet low cost scrapbooking embellishments. D-lish is not your average online store, we stock almost entirely non-branded merchandise with prices that are a fraction of the cost you would expect to pay. Our stock is purchased in bulk and imported direct from the manufacturer. We do our own packaging right here on site which is another way we help to keep all these gorgeous 'must have' products affordable for everyone.

We stock a comprehensive range of paper flowers, washi tapes, charms, sequins, buttons, ribbons, twine and so much more! We compliment the range with my own hand made lines of flair buttons, Journal It's, flowers and bottlecaps.

I am always on the lookout for new and exciting products to bring to you the customer.

Today I have created a layout using some of my favourite D-lish products that I'd like to share with you all. Then stick around as I have a special offer and also an Aussie themed giveaway!

Layout: Hugs & Kisses (using Lovely paper from Authentique)

I began by creating my base. I inked the heart design through some punchinella (sequin waste) and then stamped over it with a script background stamp. I used a heart punch to take out a section and then stitched around it with some Cotton Twine and tied the loose ends to form a bow. As embellishment I added a Cherry Blossom and Resin Rose from the grab bag. The grab bags are excellent value, 25 pieces in each for just $1.

I decorated my large & with the same inking technique and the other words were simply misted to match. I also added another Resin Rose.

I did a second stitched heart, this time adding Washi Tape and a Vintage Valentine Flair button.

My large embellishment cluster has a Trellis Rose, large Carved Resin Heart, another Cherry Blossom and a Resin Bloom from the Big Blooms Grab Bag.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my layout and as promised here comes the special offer and giveaway!

Today's special offer is as follows; simply place an order of $15 or more (not including postage) in the D-lish Scraps store before 5pm AEST this Sunday 27th January and add the code 'Be My Valentine' to the additional comment section when checking out. This special offer Valentine sampler pack will be added to your order for free!! It includes an awesome set of Vintage Valentine Flair buttons not yet available in store, 2 x pink heart paper doilies, 2 metres of cotton twine, 3 etched heart buttons, 2 x Vintage roses in crimson and brown and a 10 metre roll of mixed heart washi tape!

Now time for a givaway! In the spirit of Australia Day we have this True Blue Just Add Paper Kit to giveaway to one lucky reader this weekend. The kit contains all the yummy embellishments as pictured and is perfect for documenting your Aussie Day celebrations. To go in the draw, simply make sure you are a follower of this blog and leave a comment before midnight on Monday 28th January. The winner will be drawn here on the blog next week so be sure to pop back and see if you were the lucky winner!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I really hoped you grabbed some inspiration or ideas for your next creation.

The next stop on the hop is Imaginarium Designs and will be available at 10.30am AEDST.

Happy Australia Day!

Raquel Bowman - January DT Share

Raquel's Blog: A Blessed Life

Hey everyone,

Raquel here ready to share some layout inspiration using the gorgeous D-lish products available in the store.

Currently in scrapbooking a trend that is emerging is the use of anything sparkly; glitter and sequins being the popular items :) So the gorgeous metre length sequin string available in the store here seemed perfect for me to jump on the bandwagon.

I want to highlight in this post today the versatility of this product. This product of course is perfect as a trim but it is also perfect to be used like twine to be manipulated and positioned in flourish designs.

Here is the layout I created:

Layout title: Hello Funny Face

D-lish products used:
Bitty Blooms - pink and white
Flair - Monochrome patterns pink
Sequins- yellow
Tiny Heart Buttons grab bag

Other products:
White cardstock, black cardstock, AC Dear Lizzy Papers, Charms Creations lollipop, AC Tag and Die Cuts

I am a cut, place, layer and glue at the VERY END scrapper, therefore, before adhering this trim I already had my layout design planned, cut and ready to adhere. Once adhered I go to my D-lish goodies and add the final touches like resin flowers, buttons, washi, etc.

I began by placing the trim roughly in the flourish design I was after. Once I was happy with it I adhered it with my glue pen approx. every 2cm along the string length.

Once adhered and dry I was then able to add my final finishing touches with the gorgeous D-lish products I have in my stash.

The gorgeous new flair and bitty blooms available in store.

I have also created another layout which is for the scrapbooking challenge site Show us your Stuff which was to take the following picture as inspiration

Here is my layout:

Layout titled: One Month

D-lish Products used:
Resin Nested Bird - Pink
Forget Me Nots - Turquoise
Carnations - Pink
Petite Resin Rose Grab Bag

Just loving the carnation teamed with the nested bird, think I definitely want more :)

Well I hope I have inspired you on my first share for the D-lish team. I want to say a big THANKS to Amanda for choosing me to be a part of the team, what an honour.

I'm looking forward to creating more to share with you next month :)

Raquel xx

Hi everyone!! My name is Tarrah McLean. I am so excited and incredibly lucky to be a part of the D-Lish Scraps Design Team. Thanks so much to Amanda for the wonderful opportunity!!
So today I thought I would share a couple of layouts with you all using some of my favourite D-Lish goodies!!

First up is a layout of my two cutie pie sons ;) I have used 8 yummy D-Lish products on this layout!!!

One of my favourite colour combos at the moment is red, black and yellow with a touch of white and what better way to add some yellow with one of those gorgeous D-Lish Grosgrain Ribbon Rosettes, here I have placed a black paper doily behind it for extra contrast, I have used a yellow one on my layout, there is also Lavender and Turquoise available in store.

The D-Lish products used on this layout include:

Washi tape-Yellow with red spot

I have used a black vintage resin flower centre above there are many gorgeous colours available in a grab bag for just $1!!! So cheap and the perfect touch to any layout!!

For my below layout 'Grow' I have again used 8 gorgeous D-Lish Scraps products, it is SO easy to include numerous D-Lish embellishments on my layouts...I bet you could too!!

Here are the D-Lish goodies used on this layout:

Rhinestone Jewel-Orange

I have used the orange Rhinestone jewel on my pull out journal tag on the right hand side to make it easier to pull out the tag from under the paper.

I tied the D-Lish Twine around the D-Lish Flag for more interest and to draw the eye to the flag. I love those School Days Bottle Caps from D-Lish too, perfect those upcoming Back to School photos!!

Aren't these just the funniest photos of my eldest son? He is a card!!!
I wanted to continue the red, blue and white colour theme from the wig on this layout and what better way to do that than to use some more yummy D-Lish products!!!
For this layout I have again used a total of 8 D-Lish products!! I am starting to see a pattern here LOL!!!

I just adore that Red and Blue Stars Washi Tape, it goes so well with my theme and it would be so perfect for Australia Day layouts!!

The other D-Lish products used on this layout are:

Twine-Blue other colours also available
Small Resin Polka Dot Button-Red many other colours also available

I like to layer a few of my D-Lish embellishments on top of each other for maximum imapct!!
