D-Lish Catch up with Kate

Wow October already! Where has the time gone? Can't believe we are halfway through our DT term here at D-Lish Scraps, it feels like yesterday we started but I know I feel like I have been part of the D-Lish Family forever now!

I hope you are loving all the stock at D-Lish Scraps, I know when Amanda is stocking up the stock with new products, I am drawn to buying them and also always end up buying my favourites from the shop as well.

Happy Feet
Sometimes, my layouts don't feel complete without some D-Lish washi tape on them. They add lots of colour, and interest to the base of my layouts. I have also used some roses, TuTu Blossom, Satin Cabbage rose and some of the new Pearl Cabochons which are great value for money at $1.20 a pack and I placed them randomly around my page using double sided tape.

Cheese! FAIL

I don't know if you realise or not but D-Lish Scraps stocks Stamens. I love these little yellow ones, and I made a bunch of them together and slid them in my flower cluster. They come in 8 different colours and are only 50cents a pack! *Note to self- must buy more!!!*

I have also used a wild rose, roses, tutu blossom and a resin flower.

Daffodil Day

I just wanted to also quickly show you something I created using the new fabric tape!

I cut it up with some washi tape and used them as rays from the patterned paper sun that I had fussy cut out. The fabric tape has a fabulous adhesive on the back like the washi tape, but it is stronger so your fabric isn't going to be lumpy and bumpy when you place it on your project. I have also used some bright star buttons, cherry blossoms, pin, roses, forget me nots, wild rose and some Flourish with a Bling products (up in the sky cloud and rhinestones from the antique brown Elise flourish set). You should see the products Amanda has currently in stock from this Australian owner manufacturer.

I love being inspired by fellow scrapbookers, and one of my all time favourite scrapbookers and a great buddy of mine is Stacey Young. She recently put up a tutorial on her blog showing how you can make layered butterflies with canvas butterflies. She is amazing! It dawned on me that D-Lish Scraps actually sells canvas butterflies (and clouds & hearts!) and in various sizes!!

I gave it a bit of a go when I was on a crop day last weekend and although it would take a bit of practice and doesn't look anywhere near as good as Stacey's (LOL!) it makes for an individual and cost effective embellishment. I am looking forward to making some layered hearts as well.

Thanks for dropping by! Leave a comment to say hello or if you have created an embellishment using a D-Lish Scraps product I would love to hear about it!!

Love Kate xo
